This really got me pondering.What does it feel like when you're the best student of a department of about 150 students but not with a first class degree?
What does it feel like and what are your chances out there?

What do you mean by being the best and not having first class?

Does it mean that no one could beat your second class(or whatever it is), that is, everyone had below your grade?

This is your department rule, it has to do with the H.O.D and other lecturer, only God will save your Ass, hopefully your lecturer may include sadist and the rest.
Just do your best and know your thing, having First class without practical knowledge is nothing in this our 21st century. With God help you can get anything a First class holder is getting.
Imagine someone who has'nt even graduated was offered a job because of his skills, not the result man. Am a living witness.

it is not,majority of educated people in nigeria are unemployed why? Its bec we all think that being formally educated is synonymous to being wealthy in life which is not.all am trying to say is if u want to b educated,be educated but dont rely on formal education alone

in as much as academic success depends on passing your exams exceptionally either by crook or any means in Nigeria you are better of... But in some cases I have seen exceptionally brilliant peeps always come out in flying colors... Thank you sir

only if the required budgeted resources for Education sector were properly managed.... you won't have actually had a point

Sometimes the grades might be depressing and not reflect the true worth of a student, owing to some sadist lecturers and dumb making scheme.

However, the best you can do, is to know what you were taught (theory and practical), because that is what defines you when you meet the interviewer or when you get the job.

Your grade only gives you an opportunity(before other applicants) but your skill-sets gets you the job and your attitude helps you keep the job.
