Your location matters because shop rent may or may not take significant amount of your budget.

That said, getting the equipment could cost you close to 200, 000 naira.

When you said standard, I want to assume that you would need at least:

2 swivel chairs

1 lounge bench

Modern airconditioning unit.

And the usual like cabinets, a large mirror or two to three mirrors tacked together.

Clippers are not very expensive. Cotton wool is not expensive. Methylated spirit as well. Aftershave.

Like I said, aside rent for shop, just prepare 200, 000 naira.

First and foremost is your clipper skills. Because with that, you pull regular customers. Also you need a catchment area(bus stop, residential or a well populated environment ). On the equipment side, I will advise you not to go cheap, unless you want to start using you profit for weekly maintenance.
Another thing is how u relate with your customers, always make them feel at home, and always remember that you alone are your own competitor.
