Anyone using wayang kernel for redmi note 4? The guy's been able to make quick charge work, about 40% increase in charging speed, u can also control the voltage if u use darkness control for kernel tweaking.

lol, i used g2 back then, learnt a lot from the phone, that was the time of loki, bump n some other hacks, cloud g3 rom was awesome back then, there was also this cam that takes better picture than the default one i think xcam was the name can't remember

Until xiaomi officially re-release this particular update, you won't be able to install through normal updater. I downloaded this particular rom version from MiUi forum and when I tried updating through updater it brought back the notification that "it is a nightly rom and I have to be a registered beta-tester to be able to go on with the update" so, I resorted to updating through custom recovery. If you check back on one of my previous post you should see a guide I wrote on rooting/unlocking, there, you will find how to boot into a custom recovery temporarily through fasboot without tampering with your stock recovery.
For the record I have utilized both TWRP and Redwolf recovery to flash a number of mod/zips which also include the above rom update.

As for the custom theme, it's been a while I downloaded themes.

Note: you might try updating and it might work but I highly doubt because the updater will have to verify the rom version first(that is why you have to be connected to the internet during updating) before re-booting into recovery to finish the update process.

Sorry, just came online. Here you have it.

Note: ensure you've copied your files to an external drive or cloud before going ahead with a reset process cuz this backup process doesn't take care of user files.

Backup process:
Settings>additional settings> backup n reset>local backup> backup> system (click on the arrow at the right end to select your desired items to be backed up. Remember to deselect the SETTINGS)> ok. Do same with the APPs section, but some strongly recommend that you do a fresh apps install. Then click BACK UP.
Go to your Internal drive>miui>copy the backup folder as it is to SD or your system.

Restore process:
Copy the backup folder to MIUI folder in the internal storage.
Go Settings>additional settings> backup n reset>local backup> select the last backup item> Restore.

Query whichever process that isn't clear.

Launch the themes app and type aafont on the search bar. If nothing comes up, change your region to India and try again
