I compared the prices to what I paid for 5 years in the University. I think most of these Universities are over rated. Just structures without substance. |

Mehn see money ooo I hope after graduation they will be employed in a big company where they will be collecting big money not that they will now be looking for 40k job or even less cus the money for school fees must not waste. From year 1 to final year including accommodation fee for year 1 & final year ar not up to 60k or let me just approximate it to 60k compared to someone who paid nothing less than 3 million to get a common BSc degree I called it common degree cus BSc has now turned to chinchin |

A school does not necessarily have to be the most expensive in order for it to be the best! 3 Likes |

zombieHUNTER:can't be me. poverty is in the mind. you are poor when you don't know where you belong and wouldn't know how to go about where you want to belong. plan within your means and you would always find your way around every problem. Don't forget that some rich are so poor that all they have is money. money miss road.if one can't afford private universities and all he does is beef or diss the rich and call out pastors as if they stopped him from making it,you be thief! 3 Likes 1 Share |

The future is private universities. Most millennials' parents attended public schools, but they (milennials) attend(ed) private schools - from primary to secondary, and to extent, increasingly, universities. In the future, these millennials' children will attend private universities. How many people are willing to send their kids to public schools these days (primary to secondary)? However, this is not how things should be in a well-run nation. We're abdicating the responsibility of providing quality education to private individuals which is wrong as the vast majority of the populace will always attend public institutions. In a place like Singapore, the rich, middle class and lower class individuals attend public schools and public schools in saner places are where quality education is provided at affordable costs. Abdicating the responsibility of providing quality education to private individuals will get to the stage of the US where it is your economic background that will say if you're to obtain quality education and not your brain power. However, unlike the US where there are surfeit of scholarships and financial assistance, we don't have such here. Will I send my kids to a private university if I remain in Nigeria? Affirmative! But is that how things ought to be? No. It should be that parents who desire to send their kids to private universities do so because they desire to, not because that is the only option of obtaining quality education for their wards. The class war in the future will be epic to watch. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I can count millions of Nigerians that had more than the cutt off mark for their varsity but was never given admission. the so called senate sold their space to somebody with 150. first hand experience thats what am telling.(uniport 2015. the guy asked for 100k afta i passed the cutt off) 1 Like |

yusman14:Don't forfeit ur admission and dat will not stop u in learning skills as well. You will surely need the certificate one day but ur skills is very important.. Skills is one of the reason you can use to survive in this shithole country cus certificate is just there but will surely help one way or the other. It takes the grace of God to get a job in this country unless u know somebody at the top, pls pay attention to ur skills. 1 Like |

Mofe72:does high school fees earn high IQ? if yes kindly show me yours |
Re: Top Ten Most Expensive Universities In Nigeria By HigherEd by Mofe72: 4:23pm On Apr 03, 2018 |
viktohmarkz: You completely went off track by bringing in IQ. School doesn’t give you high IQ. Similarly high IQ without relevant application leads to redundancy. Because you can’t afford it, doesn’t make people who can afford it stupid. The only reason Federal and state universities are cheap in Nigeria, is because the government funds them with taxpayers money. They aren’t even doing a good job of funding these schools. Look at your classrooms, laboratories, libraries etc. 2 Likes |

yusman14:U wlc bro.. Department of Material Science and Engineering, one of the crazy dept in faculty of technology Very tough department but if u ar determined, u will surely excel from that department. It is now dat OAU school fees is high, back then it was super cheap and we fought times without numbers to stop the increment but the student union are part of the problem, some are fighting for the betterment of the students while some of them are working against the students wish and bcus of that the management of OAU conquered the union, some of the members were even suspended from school. Don't ever think of forfeiting ur admission, what I will tell u is to manage pay the school fee by all possible means and after that u will find ur way till u graduate.. OAU is a lovely school and u gonna enjoying it till u grad, and if u are given a hall like AWO, then enjoyment yapa for u 1 Like |

HigherEd: I can't speak for the others, but I sure can speak of UNN's website. It's always updated with a strong social media presence, Google scholar hyperlinks, etc. The site is updated regularly. I as an alumnus still visit the UNN website, I still get updates from my student email of information being posted on the website. visit: unn.edu.ng and don't deceive Nairalanders. We know our (federal universities) problem. It's not entirely funding (it is only partly funding), our major problem is mismanagement, nepotism and the quota system. |
