Not just anti-igbo, Nigerians are generally anti-other tribes. Nigerians hate each other so much that any man with a functional soul will wonder why they are still one country. The hate we have for other tribes is stronger than the love we have for Nigeria.

It is not just the Igbo, though I must admit the nature has the potential for breeding enemies. See the hate between the Igbo and Yorubas. Two tribes with majority acting like fools to each other, two tribes who have never done physical battle.

The truth is, Nigeria was not meant to be. I must give credit to the genius who created such unworkable system. He is a mental giant. We are too foolish to end the hate and our country was built with that hatred at the core.

The only thing keeping Nigerians together is the only thing that shouldn't keep any true relationship. It is business and the material and food for our mortal bodies. Peace, Love, sound health of mind and body is not in the menu. We are in hell.

Igbos are doing better than "noone" my friend..

Even without war or insurgency, the SE still ranks low in terms of development and sustainability.

The unemployment rate ranks highest in the SE
The security is nothing to write home about.
Talking about infrastructures, it's zero

Wake up boy! There is nothing special about South East or her inhabitants

The statement in bold is as false and as empty as you are.
The undisputable fact is, there was a war in the SE. A war that raged on for 3 years and took the life and potential resources of nearly 3 million souls. Other than Lagos, put SE states side by side with SW states and tell us how the SW is miles ahead.

How then could you say "even if there was no war..."
Did you manufacture a parallel universe in which you can compare a SE not destroyed by war?
I mean, how can you make such an harebrained and senseless comment, and think it a smart argument?

Next thing, you would argue that the civil war never took place.
Just as the poster said, you lots will ignore Yoruba threads and masturbate on Igbo ones until you ejaculatë blood. sad

Zik was a Pan-Africanist just like Kwame Nkruma. He adopted his Pan Africanist ideas when he studied in America. But his ideals were in conflict with the typical African tribal mentality.

He saw the poor treatment of Black people in America and wanted a black nation that would unite and challenge western racism and colonialism. Unfortunately he underestimated the backwardness of typical Nigerians.

He was indeed very NAIVE.

Really?, is this why he prefair to be the premier of South West, instead of South East?.
A man who RESISTED an attempt to include a secession clause in the constitution of the country, wants to be a premier of a region that belongs to another tribe.
If this is NOT an attempted subjugation of the other tribe, what could it possibly be?.
God bless Obafemi Awolowo and his people for throwing Zik out of SW, expansionist forming pan Africanist.

Perfectly analysed....and for some reasons, they believe that their alliance with the northern genocidists/jihadists will permanently suppress those special attributes of Igbos from our creator. Well, is self evidence now, that the only outcome from the alliance is more genocide, more jihad, more of less federal character in critical appointments, more poverty, more lies, more corruption and etc.

Cry cry baby, you better ask your fathers ABOUT what went down.

That has already been debunked on nairaland so many times over the years.

It was in fact the British that insisted on no secession as one of the conditions of granting independence.

cc; Pazienza, Igboid

Also the first Mayor of Enugu after independence was a Fulani man elected by Igbos. What Zik was trying to do in the west was not out of the norm.

It was after yorubas cross carpeted overnight and injected tribalism that Nigeria's early political progress began declining.

You people refuse to be responsible for the reciprocal effects of your opinionated perception of other tribes around you. Feeling full of yourselves.

One question to put you guys on a reality check, do you people ever show love to other tribes now? Did you have any love for other tribes even before the Biafra war?
Igbos demean other tribes and people that's why you igbos reciprocally get demeaned by the other tribes.

From the north to the west to the south south even within the east. the igbos are unanimously and unitedly perceived/ seen as dubious, greedy and rancoursly disrespectful of law and culture.

As far as the Biafra country goes!igbos, believe it or not if it were left for the Nigerian peoples without politics we would gladly let you go but here's the snag ,you are bound by our perception of you igbos to be dubious and greedy as you would lay claims wantonly to valuable Nigerian assets.

The snag above is the sole reason,
Biafra can be attained when you people reverse upon yourselves and sacrificially determine to develop your hub!
Otherwise it's rather foolish to want to go back to a bush.

Igbos you get what you give!

Idiotic slave, that's the point his making. You are reciprocating hatefully to "Igbos are full of themselves", but zero reciprocal to wanton killings and destruction of lives by your allies because, they are not Igbos. Do you now see the logic?.

A Nairalander few months ago perfectly described the relationship between Igbos and Nigeria. He said Igbos is that smart, blessed kid in secondary school that everybody wants to be associated with, copy from and be in a group or team with. The smart kid Igbo doesn't want to copy from anyone because he is confident in his abilities. If he wants to change class because he doesn't like how he is being treated or the condition of the class, the rest of the class will gang up to stop him. Ok, the Igbo kid says...take my books, take my answers, just let me go with nothing, they said no...lol.What is even interesting in that class is if anything not about Igbo is being discussed, nobody is interested. But as as that thing involves Igbo, everybody will pay serious attention and join. You notice how Igbo thread drives Nairaland?

If you want to test my hypothesis, open two threads, same topic, one about Yoruba and the other about Igbo. I promise you, within 10 mins, the Igbo thread will be 3 pages while Yoruba will still be on page zero. Even Yorubas will not touch their own thread, but will instead rush enter Igbo thread like a rat being bated....most of them are not doing this consciously, it's like a spirit pushing them in the direction of the chosen children of God.

Lol. See the height of self delusion. Hahahaha... Can't believe this joke.

Whose fault? Who started the war? Iranu.

Yet, they were able to rebuild their cities with no help. This means that every other Nigerian cities that didn't experience war should be miles ahead. Right?

Lemme debunk your silly claim of "we built our cities from the scratch without any help".
Your fathers have been lying to you boy.

First, the federal government gave your peeps £20 each to start afresh. And don't think it's the same value of £ we are talking about. Pounds in 1960 was so much more valuable than now.

Second, the late sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the number one and in fact the only Igbo saviour who was the minister of finance during the war kept all the allocations due to the Eastern region during the period of the war and gave it to them after the war despite popular contrary opinions. He stood his ground for the Igbos. Whatever development you have in the east now, you owe it to him.

Thirdly, you guys still collect federal allocation don't you? So shut the fvck up about " we built our cities without help blah blah blah..."

But the reality of the situation says otherwise...I can understand where some of their frustration and hate is coming from..

Thinking your towns are better than some others in Nigeria is a great delusion. Wake up!

I carefully observed that thread and noticed the lack of interest most Nigerians showed.

Now compare it to IPOB, a legal organization recognized in the UN and has branches in different countries. Initially declared legal by he Nigerian court system before buhari compromised it.
They carry no arms and hold peaceful protest while declaring their right to self determination recognized by the UN and AU.

Just pause and take a moment to Remember the traffic and hate armless IPOB drew to every thread and the evil Nigerians were wishing upon them.

See the long epistle u just typed to justify ur baseless hatred if a tribe. I'm fairly certain that not one Igbo person has offended you because u're not Igbo but u have this much bile. Yet, not one Nigerian of pure eastern ancestry is on the Forbes list. undecided

What is your defination of "ahead of you". I have eastern relations pure and mixed; I know what poverty in the east looks and unfortunately feels like.

The eastern part of Nigeria is the worst part of Nigeria to live on less than a dollar a day.

The entire wealth generated by most eastern businessmen comes from the ports (import). The current disapproval from the eastern elites towards the current government is largely associated with the new policies in the ports.

The large rise in IGR from the customs and sister agencies came out of the improvement in revenue collections, the bans of tooth picks, rice and others affected more eastern business than others.

I have said it in the past, eastern businesses cannot compete with the current changes in the Nigerian economy, they are already making less money, than their counterparts in the north; south-south and south-west.

I can write a whole academic paper on the demise of the eastern commercial hegemony. Coscharis recently accessed a 10billion naira loan from the FGN and our pride Innoson loan from GTB was about 3BN; compared to Rabiu BUA or Aliko Dangote accessing loans running to hundreds and billions of dollars. BUA $400+ M, Dangote $10+ B.

I mean you cannot tell anyone than Osha (Onitsha) has far more millionaires than Kano city; you can claim it but the IGR tells us a different story; generally.

Half your productive workforce is either in Lagos or offshore. You have a big problem in the east, and your solution lies in real and not suppose commercial and industrial output on Nigerian soil.

What will become of eastern business as more products are banned?
