In my case, the hotel booking was in JBurg though the school is in Capetown and I didn't indicate this in my introduction letter. Hope this won't raise any issues as I have to get to J'Burg first before going to Capetown

Have you submitted your visa app. If not to be at the safer side just book a hotel in cape town and save yourself from unnecessary troubles. Then I called the hotel directly to book and i was told that I can pay the day I arrive.

Yes I have already submitted. I believe that shouldn't be an issue

Hello Gurus in the house.

I was granted 3 months Visitor Visa and it was stated on it that I must not spend more that 7 days. It was a single entry though.
I traveled for a Programme last week Monday and came back yesterday, meaning that I obeyed the instruction.

The Visa is expiring May 24 and I have another Programme I am attending between May 22 to May 24. Do I need to apply for another Visa? however the issued visa still valid till May 24.

I will appreciate your adice.

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, that visa is no longer valid.
Call SA embassy, explain to them if there is any way out they will definitely tell you.

You need a new Visa. You had a single entry visa that meant you could enter SA anytime within the specified period once and allowed to stay only for a week.

Good afternoon...how far about your application now?

I decided not to comment on your post till I get a response to my application. I got my visa renewal today for 6months instead of the earlier 3months.
Sometimes it's better to keep your data instead of posting things that don't edify. You mean everyone with delays did something wrong during the previous visits? I got in touch with a contact at the embassy who said they had a lot of back logs, actually confirming people's posts about delays here. Imagine an application submitted 16/03 and actual visa issued 03/04? Thank God for people like Jsegskenny whom we have been in touch and encouraging one another. I'm sure he'll get a good response to his too. Please, always ponder before you post!
Frankdavid8:
Nobod. Only you know what you did in your first visit that’s making them to delay your second.

Good morning my people.......I received this message from from the school I applied to but I dont know how to go about SAQA of a thing and how much it will cost me. Meanwhile, I have submitted my University degree certificate during registration and I dont know why they are requesting for it again. Here is the message

Good Morning Mr Ajibode,

Your application for the master’s programme in Computer Science and Information Science refers.

Please forward the following outstanding documents in order to proceed:

Ø Certified copy of your degree certificate, and a
Ø SAQA (South African Quality Authority) certificate as requested by the Admissions Committee for foreign qualifications.

With regards to your application for Information Science option you are referred to the attached Guidelines for enrolling for a Master’s where you need to first identify a research topic and then draft an abstract before I can submit your application to the Admissions Committee.

The other option for Computer Science, the department does not require a research proposal/abstract prior to the evaluation process – they will liaise with you directly.

Thank you, regards
