I think you didnt understand me...all these guys you mentioned[Okocha,Kanu,Eguavon, etc] are no longer playing active football...I said old players ON FORM,meaning they play week in week out in their clubs. Thats my position. Nobody is going to the world cup to make up the numbers. This is not Olympics. You qualify to go and win by all means[including using active old players] according to FIFA rules. We are not going to the world cup for a jamboree. We want to be on the podium, simple.

How old is Ribery, Robben Arjen at Bayern closer to 35 let's look at Manchester City Fernandinho and Silva all over 32 very crucial players, you could add Kompany and Yaya Toure all well over 30. Defoe may still make the world cup for England at 35 consider also Vardy is 31.

Ronaldo C. best player in the world is over 32 so he is over the hill and too old according to some contributors. Let's not forget Messi is also over 30.

Quality is not the preserve of the young alone. Indeed experience shows enduring quality. There is a complete lack of appreciation of what it takes a player to put in consistent top class performances for a decade.

Brazil will take to the world cup possibly 10 players above 30 that will include. Tiago Silva, Danny Alves, D.Luiz, Fernandinho, Tardelli, Paulinho, etc. This is a team that will be among the favourites to win.

Bearing these observations in mind, will the use of the word crass ignorance and ineptitude for a person to dismiss a player because he is over 30 be rightly justified

Sir. My comment said the last he did was against Kenya . And I was also referring to his post bout 90 or 2000 kids that even if I was born last night..... My point is that I really don't care about what happened 8 years ago. What has Martins done post kenya match till date in the GWG?
OK getting your point but how many calls did he get post 2010.

I remember he got one during Kesh' s erai and was not convincing enough and Oliseh as a manager.

But i think Martins and Yakubu did fairly enough in their eagles career.

Bro you cannot play in the edisivere if you don't have above average technique, I believe sodiq has that kind of smoothness maybe not to Kanu level, he sometimes has bad touches I think that the unorganized thing you see in his game.
But when he's a more mature player he will be smoother on the ball.

Skills and smoothness on the ball is a natural born gift. Either you're born with it or not.

“Of course, the German national team is the top in world football, but also Nigeria is well staffed. Currently, I’m really open to both sides.”

It's looking like he is in the bag to me, and he is arguably the best among the German-Nigerian defenders we've been courting

I tire o Sadiq better than Ighalo?not really rating Ighalo but sometimes here we are too sentimental on issues and football is beyond sentimentalism.

Thanks for pointing this fact out.

I don't get the person at Sadiq better than ighalo,a blind man will not say so

We want to win. We want the best. We want ALL who can give us the world cup, pure and simple..We are not going with academy players...we want to go into records books. Why did we qualify at all,if we did not want to win? Why is Rohr combing Europe looking for more players? He wants to win. Simple. Please when i say age, read experience. Experience is better in a world cup bound team than any other attribute sef

Honestly, no one says it better than you. Spot on.

Kayode will probably struggle too if he played with the midfield we did in the friendlies. He loves through balls and hustles really hard, but his hold up play doesn't look that good from the few games I've watched of him.

The point is, we should give him the chance to prove himself.

Kayode that I know is not an in-box player. Can't deputise Ighalo nor can he hold up play. I'm talking of a proper 9 here. Kayode to me is more of a forward (winger) than a CF.

You don't need the same type of players in a team. It must be varieties.

Kayode scored almost all his goals as a CF.

After looking at Ibe's stats this season, he could be a good addition but...

BOURNE IDENTITY Bournemouth star Jordon Ibe set to snub Nigeria to try and earn England World Cup place
The winger’s form has reignited interest for him to switch countries from the Three Lions

JORDON IBE will snub Nigeria to keep himself in the frame for England.
The Bournemouth winger’s form has reignited interest for him to switch countries from the Three Lions.

Jordan Ibe will snub Nigeria to try and play international football with England
Ibe qualifies for Nigeria through his father and they are willing to offer the chance to fight for a World Cup place at Russia next year.

But the 22-year-old is refusing to give up on forcing his way into the reckoning for England under Gareth Southgate.

Ibe was tipped for an England call-up 18 months ago when he broke into the Liverpool first team as successor to Raheem Sterling, with Roy Hodgson admitting he liked him.

The ex-Wycombe youth player struggled settle when he moved to Bournemouth but has now started to live up to his £15million price tag.

Jordan Ibe far right) still has ambitions to represent England
He has six assists this season in all competitions and netted the winner in the 2-1 win against Arsenal at Dean Court at the weekend.

And he wants to make sure he is available for Southgate if the England boss is looking at his options for next summer’s tournament.

Southgate picked him for the Under-21s in 2015, with Kop youngster Joe Gomez also called up at the time and on a path to the seniors.

Ibe has played for England’s youth teams and would prefer to stick with the Three Lions despite Nigeria wanting him.

For the kind of team, Kayode played for, he should have had more games. He had a lot of opportunities but for a striker, if you are not scoring, you will be benched.

I think, Dessers and Umar could have at least gotten one goal if given the number of games Kayode had.

Let me help you since you don't know. Kayode didn't play as a striker in most of the games he played for.

So, please, don't pass wrong information that he was given a lot of opportunities.

Besides, he was not benched because he didn't perform or scored goals but it was because the main striker was scoring goals.

Even though Kayode got two assists and MOTM in a match he was benched in the next match. Can you explain the reason for that?

Umar and Dessers will not even smell bench, then how can dey score goals?

How can dey win MOTM?

How many goals did Umar score in a Sergio_A which is lesser than la Liga with all the chances he had?

Dessers is struggling to start in Eredivise, na la Liga em go come start?

This is subjective analysis I am seeing here.

Sometimes I wonder what's the real underlying issue behind the player comparisons. A player has been ruled out for 6 months or so, and the argument is still on about him.

Martins was one of my favorite players in his earlier career and SE days. I have no reason to be happy about his injury.
And there was nothing official about him being under consideration by Rohr before the mishap. So I am indifferent.

It is either you play in a top league or with a top club.

Kayode is playing with a top club better than all the clubs in Eredivise based on current form.

Is it true?

As lowly as Ukrainian league maybe to you, it's better than Eredivise.

This is really what musa is lacking...the game against arsenal summarized everything about Musa..he is very quick, very hard working, good penetration, poor passing, poor crosses, poor finishing...also add that to his low football IQ..if Musa's finishing was good coupled with his pace, he would have been a real asset to any team...all he truly has is pace and nothing else..
Funny thing is he used to be a good finisher. Don't know what has happened to that part of his game.
