A court has ruled in favour of Sunday Oliseh in his dispute with Dutch clun Fortuna Sittard

According to Sunday Oliseh,  an arbitration panel has ruled in his favour in his dispute with Fortuna Sittard, but the Dutch club in their own statement announced the ruling was what they had hoped for.

Oliseh said the panel ordered the club to pay off the coach after acting as “bad employers” while also sanctioning them.

However, in their own statement Fortuna Sittard said they are pleased Oliseh cannot return to the club as coach.

Oliseh announced the court’s ruling.

“Dutch court finds Fortuna Sittard guilty for not being a good employer to Sunday Oliseh and sanctions Fortuna,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Most importantly the Knvb court stated that Oliseh has not acted as a bad Employee!!

“Consequently negating false claims by Fortuna. God is Great!

“The court further sanctions Fortuna Sittard  compensate me (Oliseh) immediately financially.

“I am obliged to stay as Fortuna Employee till the month of May 2018.

“Thanks 2 all my well wishers for your valued support all through this injustice.

“Thankful to God 4 his blessings!”

At the height of this dispute, the former Nigeria coach claimed that he would have been thrown in jail had he obliged his Turkish employers.

Fortuna Sittard claimed on their own part that they are happy Oliseh cannot force his way back to the club.

“We are very pleased with the outcome of this case and with the decision of the Arbitration Committee of the KNVB that we received today,” said chairman Isitan Gun.

“This independent committee has studied the case in detail and has come to the official decision that Mr. Oliseh cannot return as head coach.

“That was his most important demand and that has now been rejected.

“In addition, we are pleased that Mr Oliseh’s attempts to divert the substance of the matter, by making unfounded accusations and allegations, have not been heard by the committee.

“From now on we can finally fully focus on the remaining games of this season.”

Looks like Fortuna is trying to save face.

I have always wanted to ask this question. What did Aluko do wrong that our coaches tend to neglect him? That guy IMHO is really an asset especially now that we having a dearth of attacking midfielders. He still has age on his side and always on top of his game every weekend. He has overcome his injury woes. He never underperformed the few times he wore the GWG and he adores the National team. I'm tired of seeing our midfield collapse whenever Mikel ain't there (subbed off), please Rohr should bring back Aluko because he is exactly what this team needs at the moment. My heart aches whenever I see Agu doing those craps he does in the name of a midfielder
It's so sad

Attributes are not proven until tested.

When you say a player who has not played more than 20 professional games is. EXCELLENT TALENT that must be transferred to the field of play.

Why did he have to leave Seria A and Roma to come to the Belgium league Yes lack of opportunity agreed but if was that good then he should have been given opportunity in Seria A. Particularly as this a league his attributes of physicality speed and skill will give him clear advantage.

The way he continously falls over is a lack of strength and balance but I think there may be an issue of flat feet and poor ankle mobility as well. The way he falls over at the slightest physical confrontation for such a big guy is not normal.

Compare him to Tega Abrahams and Lukaku see the difference.

My biased view as some will call it, is he will not survive league 1 in England.

Nonetheless, I think he has potential but he hasnt shown enough yet to be called to the SE.

Unfortunately Obagoal is injured our only true top quality proven and tested striker.

Guy you don start again, which one be league one..you always quick to downgrade our players to championship and league one..if you put messi in that league one, I doubt he would shine, na so so police ball dem go they play..

...has been rendered inconsequential by what you stated? hahahaha
u never cease to amaze me.

forgiveness:

Does that change the fact that your baseless and false accusation of me wanting all tribes to be represented basedon Federal Character has been rendered inconsequential and unfounded?

I am only telling you you don't have a point if you think I have the orientation of Federal Character. Do you understand?

Besides, I am not inspired by criminal and 419 mogul. Maybe, that is the problem with your orientation and I suppose it has affected your reasoning and thinking faculty greatly. No wonder you are using a known criminal as your source of inspiration. chai! grin

The fact that you think all tribes can only get into the national team based on Federal Character shows how you disdain and despise other tribes but unfortunately you need Federal Character to survive in this country. grin

The Italian league has it's own uniqueness with rugged defenders. I don't expect a player from England for example to go over there and start tearing the league up -- and vice versa. I'm going to make a wild GUESS that the players you mentioned have been in the serie a for quite a while.. are any of them on their debut or second season?

Actually you are totally wrong.

Marco Matarazzi left Everton after having a far from impressive season in 1999 to become one of the best defenders for Italy in modern times.

I have a multitude of examples to give you but i'm afraid I won't be able to break it down to a simple way for you to understand..

Just to make sure I get your view in context.

Essentially you are saying that there are players who left Seria A and basically ripped the EPL and became outstanding that means in the top 5 of players performance for thier particular position.

Please just name 5 players thats all not a multitude to prove your point.

I will in turn name 10 players.

This is to educate ourselves no animosity or hostility.

No, no, no definitely not unless you have some indicative statistics to show quality and potential. Thers is no agent that can take you from nowhere to the top in a top club.

So you don't think that the NFF has a list of all the Nigerian players playing professionally overseas that they had supplied to Gernot Rohr? Oh boy, please give it a break!

To hear you talk about Kayode, someone may be mistaken to think that you're talking about a Lionel Messi or something shocked

O pari

The NFF may or may not have an exhaustive list of potential Nigerian players in Europe. However it's not that relevant.

This is the Nigerian NFF there is a lot of influence peddling and agent networking going on at all levels.

i am not particular about age .but i want a team for the future ....if you ask me , the core members of this team to go to the next world cup , our chances of doing well is so glaring ... provided they keep improving .by then we will have garnered experience and metamophose into that solid team we re all dreaming of .

I know at least 100 Nigerian origin players above the age of 12 playing in top football academies in the England.

Some of those players not all will break into the first team of a number of clubs and be top players. They will become the future of the SE.

Most of the players in the SE have shown promise but it's debatable what level they will get too. As a future top winning world class team I have doubts.

Our young players are not making waves in the top leagues and clubs. Only main Potential World class top player is Ndidi futuristically speaking.

Well, u'd expect some players to use the first season to settle in England for example.. But special players light up the league immediately.. consider Ibra.. now Salah.. But you think he actually improved. And I was arguing he was that good even in Italy the prior season.. I suspect the class was there before his latest move. He met the right circumstances at Liverpool for it to flourish. Good timing!

"Liverpool's Mohamed Salah will be given until the last minute to recover from a groin injury for Saturday's derby at Everton, says boss Jurgen Klopp.

Salah had to be substituted just after half-time of Wednesday's 3-0 Champions League win over Manchester City after scoring his 38th goal of the season"

Please read above, I was explaining in previous page back regarding groin injury and ppl were claiming how you can't pass fitness if you are injured...Liverpool are willing to risk playing salah with groin injury..if he plays tomorrow, watch him on how careful he would be..groin never goes away in 3days...Salah is injured and if he passes fit tomorrow, he would play..does that mean the injury is still not there

Reading posts from yesterday. I respect everyone's opinion and think everyone is entitled to have his/her own opinion. Just want to raise some issues with some names being bandied here.
Austin Ejide: Say we take him to the world cup, what is the long term gain? Is he still going to be around in 2-3 years time?

Dele Aiyenugba: Active in the Israeli first division for years now. We take him to the world cup. What happens after? Is he still as good as he was when himself and Enyeama were at their peak? History has taught us from Rufai in France 98.

Uzoho: Am a staunch supporter. Is he ready based on what we have seen? I have my doubts. But an Uzoho at the world cup will grow in confidence into his role. Do we have the luxury to tolerate his errors has he grows into his role? An Uzoho in 4 years time if he fulfills his potential will be an absolute beast between the sticks.

Aluko: Granted he has been overlooked. He is 29 now. He comes into the AMF role. After the world cup what's next? Can we rely on him in 4 years time? He will be 33 by then, planning to retire.

Kayode: Skillful a good goal poacher on his day. Leaving Austria Wien was a big error. Should have remained in Austria knowing the World cup is around the corner. Man city should have loaned him back to Austria Wien. He is at Shaktar now, think time is too short for him to make an appreciable impact.

Ajagun: Did well in Greece before moving to Belgium. The question is what does he have to offer that we don't already have. If he is indeed 25, Age is on his side, his chance will come if he misses this train.

It is only human for us to show concern and sometimes panic. But let us trust Rohr. He knows what he is doing. We should support our team irrespective of who gets selected.

An aside: Was at a burial yesterday, knows someone that knows someone that has heard and knows someone.....Its like Uduokhai is in the bag.

And ......yeah.....CYRIL DESSERS!!!!!!!

Ideye is a perfect example, webrom signed him without even watching him play and he flopped but yet again he got another deal with olympiakos, and yet again when the China market was booming he got a mega offer from China were he flopped and guess what he resurface in Malaga

Having a good Agent in football is like using fertilizer in farming, there is always better players that don't get that chance.
