If UK needs nurses, it won't be a straight path for you to just fill forms and migrate, just like any day, you will be required to take the ielts exams or oet exams, and then take the license exams before you can apply for work in the UK. Anything short of this is a scam

Hi guys... I need a bit of help here, so far I have enough information regarding how to apply, as I applied once last year and was refused. My question now is what arre the documents she needs to provide.... It is a visiting visa, and she is saying she will fund all expenses including ticket.... Please give me your professional advice... @Justwise and Ekpotek sirs; images attached are screenshots from the visa4uk and TLS site respectively. At the visa4uk end, I have submitted, paid the visa fees, gotten appointment for next week and printed application for mum. I have also registered, filled and confirmed at the TLS end too. I however don't know why the last two sections - "REGISTER AT COMMERCIAL PARTNER" and "PRINT APPLICATION" - haven't turned green like the rest did when I passed them.... Is that normal or I didn't do something right and should be worried?

If you have successfully registered with TLS and booked appointment to submit, ignore it as it’s doesnt matter weather green or not. After submission you will only be concern with TLS website for tracking and other alerts.

You are the only one that can answer the questions, given your monthly salary. You need to be honest about it, as the ECO uses these entries to evaluate your financial ties and consistency. We can only help explain the questions if you do not understand it.

1. Your family upkeep amount in a month (rent, food, fuel, recharge cards, etc)
2. Amount you give out on a monthly basis to your family or dependents (parents, sibling, girlfriend, etc.)
3. Amount you have budgeted to spent for the trip from your pocket (Air Tickets, local bus fare, hotel accommodation, meals etc)
4. Total Amount you are willing to make avaliable for the trip to accommodate any unforeseen expenses from your pocket (sickness, shoping, etc)
5. Estimated ticket cost, local bus/train fare
6. Same as No 1.

To be honest with you, your chance is very small. However, you can try, as it’s only the ECO that can issue visa. First you do not have pay slips to support your earnings, whereas you claimed to be employed. You will need a letter from your company Human Resources as lieu of pay slips. Then how would explain the monthly payments by you wife into account, for what purposes? With an earning of less than 100K per month, why would you want to spend an average of 800K (tickets, hotel, etc) just to go and see London for 5 days!!! Are you a frequent tourist? Do you have travel history? My brother your home tie is not strong at all. But like I said you can always try, you’ll never know until you apply.

Good morning everyone!
@ekpotek, justwise and other gurus as well as successful applicants.
I have initially stated some documents I intend to submit. I have some share of the company and listed as a director although I'm the least holder. I have all CAC documents and personal account of about 1.6m with dollar account with a little over 100 dollar balance. I intend to submit all these. However, I don't have tax certificates.. Is it compulsory? Will adding a payslip help? Please I'll really appreciate if someone can give me a detail response as I want to get it right the first time. I have travel history of popular tourist countries within Africa. I intend staying a total of nine to ten days.
Kindly respond. Cheers

@gazalito @bogolobango

I applied for a business visa for plab exam

I submitted the following documents:

Reason for travelling:
- short cover letter explaining why I need to travel to write the exam-plab 2 is done only in the UK. No other place.

- email from the body inviting me for professional exam
- email congratulating me for previous step exam pass taken here in Nigeria
- educational certificates (ielts, university degree certificate, certificate of registration with professional body in Nigeria, nysc certificate)

Finances.
I sponsored myself. So I submitted :
-Letter of introduction from my employer stating my position, start date of job, salary after tax and any bonuses entitled to, duration of leave , reason for leave, date of resumption at work
- 6 months salary slips
- 6 months bank statement. Only credits came from my salary to avoid unnecessary explanations. I put all my savings in my salary account prior to the 6 months to avoid unnecessary explanations too. So I presented only one bank account .

Previous travel history.

I had been to the UK about 5 yrs ago on a student visa for a short course, so I submitted the certificate issued to me after the course.
- photocopy of previous passport with the tier 4 UK visa issued then. And the bio data page
- I also visited the UAE with my husband a few years ago, so I also put a phocopy of the stamps on my previous passport and the bio data page.

Domestic ties back home.
In my cover letter I explained that I was able to save a lot of my salary over the past few years because my hubby was the main breadwinner of the family who took care of our family expenses.

- marriage certificate
- wedding pictures
-children's birth certificate
- 3 family pictures of hubby, me and kids
- photocopy of my husband's international passports bio data page
- letter of introduction from hubby's employer stating his salary for past 6 months, position, duration of employment
- hubby's bank statement for 6 months (he had some unexplained credits less than 100k here and there, but since he was not my sponsor, we didn't explain it)
- hubby's land documents
- consent letter from hubby stating he'll be with the kids while I travel

Evidence of home
- tenancy agreement in hubby's name
-rent receipt paid by hubby

Itinerary.
- I booked a cheap hostel (all female room) for £55.5 for 3 days
- I booked a provisional flight ticket with Klm, cost £541. I wrote in my cover letter that I'll pay once my visa is granted.

Total budget for trip was £760. Duration of stay: 3 nights

My salary is N140k. My budget was almost 3 x my salary but I had x 4 of my budget in my salary account.

I hope this helps someone esp doctors applying for visa for plab exam.

Congrats on your visa ma. I want to ask, are you planning on going for an academy course for the plab 2? There is this debate as to whether it's necessary to include an academy or not in the application. Also, if one was to start saving strictly because of the visa, how much do you think it's appropriate to start with as the opening account?

Thanks

I didn't put academy cos academy is not accredited for visa issuing basis as plab visa is not a student visa. To avoid Wahala. Also if you mention academy, you should have much more money in your account as your stay is longer. What most doctors do is, if you're finally issued for 6 months, you can travel earlier and attend the academy in person, but if you're given a shorter duration visa, you can do an online academy course.

A lot of doctors are mentioning academy these days and are still being given visa. Sometimes it backfires, most times it doesn't. But you must have a lot of money in your account to mention academy.

Start planning early more than 6 months ahead for the visa. Tidy your account. You should have more than twice or thrice the budget for your trip in your account.

If you don't have enough money, look for a sponsor.

I know someone who had about 900k in his account and was given. He did not have a sponsor. He earns about 250k monthly. Put his monthly expenses at 65k monthly... and budgeted £800 for the trip of 4 days. Note that £800 is about N400k. So the trio cost less than his 2 months salary.

It all depends on the ECO.

Visit www.naseersjourney. for more details. It caters specifically to plab. Nairaland was helpful to me also cos it dealt with the peculiar problems of Nigerians. So go through the pages thoroughly.

Have you addressed the ECO's concerns @the bolded above? What in your estimation would bring you back home? Getting credible sponsorship isn't as important as you qualifying for the visa as an individual, considering your personal circumstances.

Thank you for your response, yes I have the first one addressed, I have gone back to my work place to secure a salary account, which I intend running for the next six months before applying and a pay slip gather to this effect for the next six months. As for what will bring me back home, that I submited in my first application, deed of landed property and documents of my current property. Now my concern is that of spending, my major spending point on my previous application was 350000 on ticketing return...

That was the second issue raised by the ECO... Now my sponsor is saying, forget ticket, I will buy, cut your spending to light shopping say one hundred pounds....my question now is this, what papers does she need to provide and what are your views to all these.... Many thanks
