And regarding insults from arsenal fans,I just checked their social media pages now and there's a lot of praise for him...he even some MOTM nominations... I'm very sure arsenal fans don't hate him.. he just gets a lot of criticism cus of his poor performance sometimes.....

Arsenal fans were on Iwobi's case for most of the game. It was only after the late goal that you started seeing the MOTM comments. They were on his case all game.

There is just a lot of negativity around the club, even when Iwobi plays well.. They will pick on one misplaced pass to rubbish all the good, he did.

Samuel Kalu outshining Simon Moses again... If Rohr is watching these games, he must definitely see this.

One of the most hilarious things I read on this thread was that Arsenal fans single out Iwobi for criticism because he dumped England for Nigeria, when 90% of Arsenal fans aren't English.
We are talking about a global brand that is Arsenal whose fan base cuts across different races, tribes and religion.
This thread can be quite yellow at times.

Same thing with Welbeck until he scored the winner.... Most football fans are just not patient enough... Some are full of anger...they just pick on a particular player to vent their anger on and Iwobi has been one of the victims this season..

This thread can be quite yellow at times.

Arsenal fans reflect the negativity that surrounds the club.. Certain players get more stick than others. Iwobi has suffered several times from unfair criticism.. Even today where he created the most chances, had a key pass and an assist, he was getting a lot of stick.

If Arsenal had drawn or lost today, Iwobi would have gotten a lot of abuse even though he was the best Arsenal player on the pitch.

Yes..

Even Ozil who has been their best player for many years now has gotten a lot of criticism this season especially at the beginning largely due to his transfer wahala..same with Bellerin (whose poor form I believe is due to Wenger's dumb idea of copying Conte's 3 man defence).. Walcott got a lot of the abuses too till he left for Everton..

I don't take Chelsea and Arsenal fans serious at all(when it comes to football matters).A lot of them are badmouthed and Childish grin ...

This is a very weak argument... There is no magical age for the WC... The best teams have a mixture of youth and experience. A 22 year old can be more influential to his team than a 29 year old. Joel Campbell was 22 in 2014 and he was costa rica's most influential player.. He is a good player, not necessarily exceptional.

The average age of the Ajax team that won the Champions cup was 23.

Serbia did not beat us because their age bracket is between 25-32... In another setting, that same Nigerian team can beat them.

Which argument are u talking abt. I said "left for me" meaning if am in control of things that the best age for WC shud b 24 n above....You also repeated what I said that the mixture of youth and experience would give us d balance we need.

You said that those below 24 should play under 23... Several players below that age have lit up the WC.

MFM are down 1-0 at home to Djiloba of Mali... Plateau united won 2-1 at home against USM Algers ... it's gonna b a tough return leg for them both...

Akwa united take on Al Hilal of Sudan today..licl off in 2 mins

Modified... Full time MFM-0 vs Djiloba-1 ... seems like the Olukoya boys are out.... They aren't convincing away from home..

1. On the GK position, let's not flog a dead horse. We just don't have the options.
2. Like I already asked, why Ajayi over Umar?
3. Why are we still flirting with Agbo, or don't we have more competition at DM? I want to believe Esiti has had a better campaign this season in the same Jupiler league. Or maybe we should give Ogude from the Russian Premier league a look in. Or should we give the older Nwakali another chance?

Other than the above, my updated list would look almost identical to yours.

ok then, so what advantage has Umar over Ajayi?

Modified.
Let me help you with the previous question. Ajayi has been used mostly on the left wing.. Good goal return.
But I won't invite him over Umar unless I want a versatile forward.

Iwobi has been far from convincing this season if we want to be honest with ourselves. I have seen games pass him by when he should be one of the main actors. The fans lost patience in him when time and time again he failed to live up to expectation and then came the wild night party incident......

Even at his worst, Iwobi wouldn't make top 3 most criticized player. Xhaka, Bellerin, Oezil are the most criticized, although Oezil appears to have won the fans back with some solid displays for weeks now. That's how it is, you win back the fans with good displays, people invest money, time and emotions supporting a team, you cant gag them not not to show displeasure when you're not playing well amidst reports of partying.

This video sums up Iwobi's season

Iwobi was one of Arsenal's best players in that game you shared but all of that goes out of the window because he miscued a shot. That one miscued shot wrote off all the good work, he did in that particular game. Unfair criticism

The whole Arsenal team has been poor this season. At some point, Iwobi was obviously down on confidence but the fans make it worse by the continuous and sometimes unfair criticism. As an Arsenal fan, i understand the frustration when the team is doing poorly but picking on players won't help the situation. Put some of these Arsenal players under a different manager and they will be outstanding.
