Custom is telling me to pay Custom duty on my phone, about 10% of the item cost price
the custom man later call his Oga to confirm, he was told that if you bought or import anything above 50k. You must pay the duty on the phone. Thank God i escape cos my Note 5a prime was not up to 50k. Join me to celebrate cos i cant imagine paying one 4k i did nt expect or plan for on a monday morning. But guys this a new and serious policy from custom. This will affect ecommerce

So as it stands...Here is the analysis,

You wait for some 21day shits,then you'll still pay 10% ontop am...

And

You've got an option of 7days delivery (fast delivery) with a lil addition for TP and you skip some custom shit.

At the long run, those who will wait for 21days will more or less pay the same thing as those who got their deliveries 7days after...except your goods no reach 50k but the thing be say, dem go still drop the 50k shit to like 20k, just to more owo ile.

He went back this morning and he was directed to the Custom office in ABK

I have been using NIPOST for the past 1 year and I have never heard of local Post office redirecting people back to Custom

I think Nipost will have to work with the stated value of the item printed on the package. Isn't it so?

Even if they think that the item is worth more than that, shebi they will have to work with the declared value because they have no proof of it being otherwise ?
