Good day house,

@ ncmama, request for an EOR. I did that too. There is high likelihood that you will get an upgrade. My writing was increased from 6.5 to 7. However, you have to be very patient. I waited for almost 3 months for the positive outcome.

I wish you all the best.

ncmama:
People come and see my life, my ielts result was lrsw: 9,9,7.5,6.5. Hot tears mehn, the difference in my crs score is 420 with this result and 478 with a 7 in writing. Please help me, do you think it makes sense to apply for remarking? Do you know many people that have had positive news from remarking? Thanks

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! This is my scenerio o!! exactly!. I requested for an EOR. On my fourth week already. Still doing ECA and looking for money so I will wait....

One thing is for sure, I will never advise anyone to write ielts with BC.

She told me within one year, but could take longer if the person decides since there is flexibility with how you take your courses.

Good morning my good fellas, am new in this forum and I have taken time to read through the trend and its been very helpful and informative.

However Pls my good fellas I have some questions some proper clarification as regarding my case for the Express Entry :

1) I have a both my BSc and masters degree from Nigerian University (uniben), however I concluded my masters degree with 6 months paid internship with SPDC, will that count for a work experience? I because the internship was part of my MSc program.

2) is it compulsory that your work experience must be directly related to what you study in school because in my case I studied Geology and Petroleum Geosciences in my BSc and MSc respectively and I am working currently as a GIS (Geographic information System) specialist in a friend's family company which is in NOC class B

3) Because I work in a friend's family company, I don't have a fixed salary as I am been given honorarium (most times as cash directly given to me) periodically depending on the company's returns and as such my
bank statement do not carry things like monthly salary, nothing like tax or pension. My question is can I use such statements of accounts although I have the need
fund gifted to me already by a family friend.

Pls friends I need proper clarification on this questions as am about to officially starts the process.
Bro, i am in similar shoe oooo

Please advise, I tried to increase my CRS by rewriting IELTS but unfortunately, the result was bad. Can I still use the former result as I don't want to lower the already low score?

I think you are stressing yourself over something that is unnecessary. I recall that someone replied you and said that you should evaluate only your MSc to save yourself time and stress. I also remember you were assured that you can use any work experience that falls within the last 10 years and that it doesn't need to either correlate with your field of study or even be after the Masters.

Stop worrying about these things. Believe me, you will see other more important things to worry about in this Canada journey. Save yourself the strength for that.

PS: Pay your friend no mind. He/She doesn't know what this Canada EE/FSW program entails, otherwise you won't be getting that kinda advise.

Before I forget, kindly navigate to page zero of this thread. You seem like a good candidate for that. wink Read up!

Guys, please pardon me if i am taking you backwards. Please bear with me. I am a bit confused with which result to evaluate with WES. I got a Masters from UK last year and i have my certificate. I have not worked since then. I only worked after my undergraduate. With my Masters i will have a CRS of 470 and with my BSc and PGD i will have a CRS of 463. Please kindly advice on which i can evaluate. Evaluating just my Masters will be really smooth as my school will respond swiftly.
Please i need your humble response.
N/B: I am confused because a friend told me if i use Masters then work experience has to be one i have done after i finished Masters. Dont know how true.
Please gurus in the house, please guide me. Just want to clear the doubt so i can evaluate and get into the pool. Thanks

Daddy Lati, e jowo ti e ba de Canada, e ma so Yoruba fun won.

Una no serious. The 0.5 difference is wide because LWSR of 8777 qualifies one as an "Initial Advanced User" of English Language. The chances that you will thrive in Canada, be gainfully employed, integrate into the society etc are higher when you have a superior grasp of English Language. That is why the CRS is designed that way.

latibaba:
.
Why is the diff so wide just because of 0.5 in writing this oyinbo people should give us complete independent jawe.

My dear people, sorry for bringing up this WES question again.

I just paid for WES using my Fidelity naira MasterCard.
The WES evaluation fee was 233.91 CAD.
I got a debit of #78,353.95
Meanwhile before the transaction I checked the rate and it was about #302.
I was expecting about 71k debit but I saw 78k plus. Does the bank charge up to 7k for such transactions? or is there any other hidden charges? Please am I missing something?

Please someone that has experienced such should reply before I march to the bank to question them. Thanks
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by smslive2: 11:16am On Apr 09, 2018
The question should be best answered by your bank... Call Fidelity and ask why they charged you that amount for 233.91CAD

Dear good Nairalanders, I have followed up passionately on this forum, my question is this, for the successful applicants, is there a form where you fill the list of all your blood relative like uncles and siblings. I know for sure that you must provide that of your depndants and spouse. No pun intended. Thanks

You fill all your close relatives like siblings (direct dependents will be allocated separate spaces) on the EAPR when you want to submit the application. No Uncles and Aunties.

You asked your question at 8.30am. People with full knowledge and experience on the process are either still sleeping on their beds in Canada, or at work in Nigeria (its a Monday morning). Or doing whatever, wherever they are.

Even if na agent wey you dey pay money you send mail to by 8am, you sure say dem go don respond by 11am? No be 24-48hours be usual customer care turnaround time?

Please be patient so someone who has the right info can respond.

You can register for IELTS either with British Council or IDP. You get registered on their websites.
