IamaNigerianGuy:Don't be clever by half, answer the simple question. Was 3.9m all he paid to get access to their coal mine? |

IamaNigerianGuy:This was your first post. The question remains, was 3.9m only he paid to have their coal mine? It's good to criticize but do it in a more constructive way. |

GavelSlam: No doubt Sir and you can be sure the monitoring team will be water tight and environmental impact will be minimal.... Just point out one monitoring body that can police a Dangote? |

Alejob: Coal is coal. It has never been clean. They've been excavating coal from Munster for centuries using it as a source of energy. Why all of a sudden must Dangote be treated differently? |

Your responses so far are what I will term "hits, back to back"! Nigerians really need mental re-awakening. Like you rightly mentioned, Germany runs on coal (over 30%) along with USA, UK, China, South Africa (over 80%) etc. Yet, we (Nigerians) that haven't successfully powered street lights for 24 hours are shouting environmental pollution! It is folks like the fellow who took you up that make me see why the global North continues to bully us into useless agenda like climate change and CDM and Paris Agreement etc. When Nigerians won't school themselves on facts but would rather allow emotions and outsiders determine what we think, the end result is ZOMBIES! Thanks for being an enlightened Nigerian!!! GavelSlam: 1 Like 1 Share |

ultron12345:There is government protection. |
Re: Dangote Gives Scholarship To Students From Coal Bearing Communities by ultron12345: 6:52pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
CodeTemplar:what government protection. Has any government stopped u from building cement plant or sugar refinery......oil refinery nko |
Re: Dangote Gives Scholarship To Students From Coal Bearing Communities by CodeTemplar: 6:58pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
ultron12345:The level of forex given to Dangote to import refinery parts at a time items were being banned is clear pointer to my submission. |
Re: Dangote Gives Scholarship To Students From Coal Bearing Communities by ultron12345: 7:05pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
CodeTemplar:FYI, that refinery project is a project of national importance, with the capacity to cut out forex needs by almost half and even begin repartriating forex back into the country, it was just the kind of investment the nation needs at this time that we are seeing the consequences of been an import dependent economy. Any serious government will give "extra" support to such a project. Or would u have preferred if the government rather give the forex to rice and palm oil importers while starving such an important project of forex. |
Re: Dangote Gives Scholarship To Students From Coal Bearing Communities by CodeTemplar: 7:09pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
ultron12345:A private project of National importance. Our reserve is having almost $50bn and Dangote built his refinery with less than $13bn. Clap for yourself. |
Re: Dangote Gives Scholarship To Students From Coal Bearing Communities by ultron12345: 7:27pm On Apr 09, 2018 |
CodeTemplar:so we should have taken $14bn out of our reserves for project that would be delivered 6 years later. This is the problem Venezuela had, spending all their forex reserves, that why they are still suffering recession till today, while Nigeria is back on her feet. If Nigeria spends her forex on such a project, do u know the bad effect it will have on the exchange rate and other negatives it will have that will cause you to come to nairaland and be insulting buhari. If cbn decided to give importers and abandon dangote, u will still insult buhari saying he is killing local investment and local industry. That project was supported because of its importance and not because it's dangotes. If not for documents made available , u pple will say it was only dangote they gave license to. Now that we know they gave license to so many, u have shifted goal post to "they were giving him forex". |
