edi287: It is better you see this link. Who is the 2010 highest league goal scorer? Luiz Suarez. He scored 35 goals and that was the highest league goals scored in the whole of Europe in 2010. One more than Messi. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Federation_of_Football_History_%26_Statistics#IFFHS_World's_Best_Top_Division_Goal_Scorer 2 Likes |

Do you even realize that Suarez was under a 10 match ban for bitting before transferring to Liverpool in January? How many games did he even ......*sigh* abeg forget. |

forgiveness: IFFHS is just for statistics. That he won top division with 35 league goals in BLACK WATER league does not make him a world class. It seems you forgot that that same 35 goals is below 27 scored in any of European top leagues. (UEFA Coefficient) Relatively unknown players has won this top division scorer of a thing just like TP Mazembe's mputu (2007) and one Narva Trans' Cerkulajevs(2011). Can we say that this two players mentioned above are world class?

forgiveness:So by your logic, Tresor Mputu, Lucas Barrios and Marco Janko were the best strikers in the world in 2007, 2008 and 2009 right? I have one question for you - why did Messi win the european golden shoe in 2009/10 instead of Suarez despite scoring less than he did??

goldfish80:Suarez scored just 11 goals in his first full season and 23 the next. It was in the 2013/14 season where he was truly considered as the best striker in the world. |

I remember Atlanta 96 while still very young, Kanu was one of the players we criticized leading to that semi-final game against Brazil. But after that famous semi final win, Kanu have been celebrated till this very day as one of the major reasons why we won gold. How about we count Umar's performance against Germany as one of his bad days. Looking at the full picture, 4 goals in 6 games in a tournament is pretty impressive for any forward. He had a decent tournament. We cannot criticize him for just one bad show. Modified You talk about Awoniyi like you have forgotten his U17 and U20 days too soon. Fine, he experienced a dip at some point.. But he's been impressive since moving to the Jupiler league.. Please let's focus on the present. Awoniyi is back. Umar is performing shekina.. I would invite both to camp. Mickael2: 1 Like |
