Not liking ones style of play is totally different from saying he can't play football. That guy has actually helped us on difficult situations before, inconsistency is not just him alone some known players are like that. Ozil and Sanchez can be said to be inconsistent too but not to the level of Musa. elyte89: |

Why are some people comparing the dou of Awoniyi and Umar? Why bring down one kid to promote the other kid forgetting they are all ours and we ought to be happy they are coming up nicely? U guys do some stupid arguments here sometimes. I want Sadiq to spend one more year in the Eredivisie but with a better team like Ajax, same with Awoniyi with a team like Anderletch. The future looks great. 7 Likes |

edi287: Was Eredivisie in the top 10 in Europe in 2010? Answer Yes or no. Suarez was a world class striker with Ajax. It manifested in the 2010 world cup too. Point still remains that Brender did not make Suarez world class player. Which ever way you look at it. Agree? Why Messi won was because Messi's club played in the highest league(level 1) and that gave him 4 point while Suarez's club was in level 2 league which gave him 3 points. simple as ABC. 1 Like |

forgiveness:Top 10? Yes. Top 6? No. Actually Eredivise gets a 1.5. That alone should show you that the Eredivise wasn't a top league at that time. Suarez wasn't yet World class at Ajax. His first season and a half at Liverpool showed it. He only scored 23 and 31 the next season when surprise surprise - who was coach again? 1 Like |

forgiveness:Lucas Barrios was playing in a league rated higher than Eredivise. Hunterlaar was in the same league. Again by your logic, do you agree that they were the best strikers in the world at that time?? Hunterlaar was better than Henry, Eto, Sheva, Villa, etc during 2006? Thank you you said top 10 and not top 5. He was the highest goal scorer in europe while not playing in the epl, buli, Serie A, LA liga, etc. |

My updated 35 man list I had to squeeze Samuel Kalu and Ebere Eze in somehow. We cannot afford to lose a fast rising talent to Scotland. The numbers to the right will be the final pics for each position to make the 23-man list. I think the competition will be fierce for all the positions. It will definitely bring out the best in them. 1 Like

forgiveness:Did he replicate the same performance in the next season and a half?? Under which coach did he score over 20 goals in a much tougher league? Again - based on the IFFHS stats you brought - do you agree Hunterlaar was the best striker in the world at 2006?? Remember Hunterlaar moved from Ajax to Madrid while Suarez moved to Liverpool. |

Nedum Onuoha on teammate, Ebere Eze: "Ebere has an awful lot of potential; he's a very exciting player. "We see him every day Monday through Friday and he's finally getting an opportunity. "I think that further down the line you could really see an exceptional talent for the club. "It was a good goal; I'm not sure if the one-two with Matt Smith was intentional but the composure he showed going through didn't surprise me one bit. Technically, he's one of the best players I've seen at the club." |

forgiveness: Rules Only the leading five countries – Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England – in the UEFA rankings have two as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in (international) performance level between clubs from those countries and those of other nations. A player cannot play first in a summer league (e.g. Norway) and then in a winter league (e.g. Spain) and combine the points totals for each season http://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/news/newsid=1639415.html The first pic is of the 09/10 standings and the second is of 10/11.

forgiveness: “If it was not for Brendan, then I know I would not be the same player that you see at Barcelona today."... Luiz Suarez on Brendan Rodgers. "Playing in England where all the centre-backs are tall and strong, the long punt up the pitch is no good to me, but a quick ball to release me either side of them works well. Mostly, I need the ball on the floor and Brendan knew that and he also worked with me on the movements I could make to isolate defenders. He was confident that if I could take them on one-on-one, I would be likely to beat them. He was keen to play to my strengths and my style suited his."... Luiz Suarez on Brendan Rodgers. “He was very clever and told me that Liverpool would play possession football, as it would suit me."He helped me with my runs, arriving in the area at the right time and coming in from wide – rather than just waiting in the middle – which benefited my confidence. “We worked hard on finding ways I could isolate players and then try to beat them, man on man. That was the only way I could succeed in England. […] If you punt a long ball up towards me and one of these [Premier League] defenders, I am not going to win it.“But the way Liverpool played, with the ball on the floor, and being released very fast to my feet, gave me a chance against the big guys. […] I wasn’t proven and I had to adapt to the Premier League, which Brendan knew."He knows all about English football and he educated me to become successful.”... forgiveness: Brendan Rodgers put in a lot of work to make Suarez the player who became almost Invincible in the EPL due to playing a pattern that will bring out the best from Suarez and also took time in perfecting Suarez play to get the best out of the system. Brendan Rodgers played a big part in Suarez become a very top quality player in the EPL. |

TheGoodJoe: Was it Brender that made him score 49 goals in a season in Eredivise? Was it Brender Rodgers that made him performed in the world cup? Was it Brender Rodgers that made him to win the Most valuable player in Copa America? Was it Brender Rodgers that made him to nominated as the 6th best player in the world? My point is, Suarez was already made before he met Brender Rodgers. Facts |

I believe he spent only 1 minute on the pitch on that faithful day Modified I believe he played mostly as a CF in his U17 days. But he's not had much game time so far this year. edi287: |
