Like my boss always told us some years back, no enchantment can affect the computer, it is GIGO. So also the stock market, the buyers and sellers will determine this

Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion.

when it comes to analysing a company. Emotions are set aside. You deal with available facts and make judgement call based on the information available to you.

For Dangote Cement, there are few players with HIGH Barrier of entry. Dangote Cement is the market leader so IF I want to buy a cement company, I will buy Dangote Cement. It can control both the price and also the volume. See the use of cement for construction of roads for example. Moreover, there is really no substitute for cement. Hence, I can see a 'future' for Dangote Cement.

Dangote Sugar is similar. Few players, relatively high barrier of entry. So there is a seeming monopoly. Dangote Sugar is market leader so can determine what goes on in the sector. Not much alternative/Substitute to Sugar.

Dangote Flour is different. It is not the market leader. The barrier of entry is low with many flour milling company. Dangote cannot dictate the price. It is not compulsory to eat flour. At a certain price level, people will switch to alternatives. So don't see DF sustaining the current revenue and EPS growth rate. Not going to happen.

For Tony and his companies, I watch with eyes wide happen. United Capital is significant in my holding because I 'trust' the GMD.

The kind of growth seeing in DF and DS last year is not sustainable.
Those who are interested should go through the financial statements of both companies for the past 7 to 10 years.

Before making assumptions, whether I have a First Bank account or not.

Why don't you verify from First bank if N100k can get you TB from primary market (directly from CBN).

The minimum amount that can be bought in the primary market is N50m

That circuler was sent to Banks, financial institution last year.

Don't have time for this back and forth.

No doubt about that

I believe in the stock myself that is why I am still holding it.
However, I have learnt to moderate and get realistic about my expectations on any company I have interest.
I will rather I get positive surprises than get the negatives.

No doubt about that

We don't have to over flog this. FBN is a Treasury Bills friendly bank, some banks that are not happy about the way their customers are terminating their fixed deposits and investing in Treasury Bills for higher returns now capitalized on the CBN N50 million policy.

You only need N50 million to make your own bid.

FBN bid in billions which is a pool of funds from diverse customers with 100k to billions of Naira to invest in TB,, at the end of a successful bid they all earn the same rate irrespective of the amount invested.

With your billions FBN will not allow you to quote your rate.. FBN rates is one of the highest and their bids are always successful.

He doesn't have to drop the stock. Just acknowledge and price in all the positive and negatives vibes. Ignoring the negatives (because of love) won't help at the end of the day.

You're right sir but how do we determine if the knife has touched the ground or still in the air?
