For travelling within Europe, since you have UK spouse visa and not Article 10 residence card, I think you will need to apply for Schengen visa. The requirements are relaxed for spouse of British citizens though and you can get the visa within few days.

For outside Europe, I don't think there will be any preferential treatment. You will be treated based on the passport you hold.

You can send the supporting document as soon as possible, no need to start counting working days since the application and biometric aspect have been taken care of.

You need to check the dependant financial requirement to get the accurate answer for this..when i get the link i will drop it here.

The documents like his birth certificate, your tenancy agreement/mortgage paper, financial requirement proof, marriage certificate. I'm not sure if a 6yrs old child needs TB certificate(read up on that to be sure), data page of you and your hubby's passport etc all need to be submitted at ikeja.

Dear Lexus and Justwise, I didn't give an update of my application and all that after my unfortunate incident. I am currently in the UK with my baby and husband, Leeds to be precise. Been here since February 8.

I applied again as you advised as my husband was now on a tier 2 with his COS and letter of maintenance from his work place. Funnily enough, we forgot to include marriage certificate and during the wait I almost died. We used priority got the visa about 8 working days later.

This time we didn't go through London Heathrow. We used KLM via Amsterdam to Leeds. At the airport the immigration officer asked if I had been to UK before and I downloaded everything to him. He detained us for a while to go check inside. Came back and allowed us in. My husband almost died of heartattack when he saw every one coming out of the airport with no sight of us. Eventually came out and all of our worries over.

We have collected our brp and even registered with a hospital. Did baby's dedication recently. I want to thank everyone that replied during my trying time. I actually thought my travel was over. Husband and I even talked about him moving back to Nigeria if it was no longer possible for me to join him. In all I give praise to God for everything.

In November 2017 my wife and i submitted settlement visa application-spouse. Am British and my wife is Nigerian.My wife had her biometrics taken and her passport collected in TLS. She asked the person who collected her passport "what of the TB test and english language proficiency certificates"? Which she had with her on the day she went to give her biometrics, she was told its ok and she didn't submit it. We thought all was ok since it was stated in UK.gov website that the 2 documents be gotten from accredited offices (British Council and TB Clinic) and we thought that the offices will correspond them to Homeoffice. I submitted all required documents required payslips (earning more than 18,600 Pounds),evidence of where i live and work, etc.
On 14th February 2018, my wife was asked to come to TLS to pick up her passport and documents only to get there and find out she was refused the visa. The letter stated that she was refused on the basis that she did not submit the two documents-TB and english certificate, but all others required are ok ie from my own side. Receiving this she made an appeal for the refusal to be looked into by First tier tribunal UK. She was told that she has to wait till 26th June 2018 for it to be looked into. No hearing date has been fixed yet.
I tried to get the 2 documents back so I can reapply using priority, Tribunal said they forwarded the hard copies to Homeoffice, its only photocopy with them. Homeoffice said is should contact Tribunal that since i submitted the documents to Tribunal they will have my documents. Now this is very confusing.
I wanted to know why the long wait till 26th June 2018?
How else do i do to collect me documents so i can reapply using priority since both tribunal and Homeoffice are not responding?
Are we going to wait till the appeal is ready to give a verdict?
What other advises can i get?

Yes, we disclosed that we have a 6year old who is studying in Nigeria and that we intend to bring him to UK at D end of the school year. We disclosed that my son is with my parents and we included their names and contacts on the section that asked about my parents' data.

Unfortunately that is the way its, tribunal hearing dates are always loaded, in 2010 when i had a case there it was the same situation.

In some cases you may not have to wait till the hearing because after reviewing your case and supporting documents they may overturn the decision and ask your wife to submit her passport for visa.

To get your document you just have to keep disturbing them else they will not be in a hurry to return it.

I completely understand your frustration though.

If you intend to travel to Holland, you would be required to apply for a visa (considering Oga's long leg, you application would be expedited).

After enjoying your holiday and queuing at passport control to return...... Madam, know your size and queue with your fellow pipu on the long line (green passport is not that green)...

Once you collect your Blue Passport, the world would be your oyster (factoring Brexit limitations).......

Using priority (one month) it would be approved before the appeal (3 months) goes through and one can suspend/withdraw the appeal after that. This is part of my asking to know what to do. I haven't done the priority yet. Its ok your too many questions,atleast clarification is necessary....

Call the centre you did the test for clarification.... To fully rule out TB, sputum test would be the answer..........

NB : If they don't request a sputum test, offer to do it. And enclose all correspondence....

The timeline of an appeal is between 18/20 months, on the other hand. A new priority application is one month......

From my limited knowledge, I do not think 2 applications of the same nature can run concurrently.........
