Well, technically, the words cross and tree can be used interchangeably, since a cross is made from a tree, perhaps its an allegory.


Jesus was recorded to have died on a cross, on numerous accounts.

Go check the origin of the word and not it's mere translation. Huh?!

We have been through this before, but in case you have forgotten let me remind you...

1.. There is no record in the entire scripture where a person was crucified by the jews by hanging on the tree to die, rather the law stated that the person should be killed den his corpse hanged on the tree...

23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance
The jews killed mostly by stoning, then at other times by sword. If u can point just one incidence in scripture where someone was injured and left to die slowly on a tree, den i rest my case. There are stories of executions of defaulters all over the old testament so please just provide one case
2...Jesus execution wasn't carried out by the jews but by Roman soldiers under pilate. The jews were guilty of his blood yes, same way Judas iscariot is but his execution didn't happen in their hands.. History has record of this practice of execution of criminals to die slowly on the cross as long as the time of the Grecian empire wch preceeded the Roman empire and it was very common under the Roman government.
3...The word interpreted as tree is the same word that was used for the staves (wooden sword) held by the temple servants dat came to arrest Jesus Christ.
