They have one, two or three bedroom apartment buildings, which started from about $120,000. ( that was when they bought it about 10 years ago). They allowed flexible payment terms. The apartments are rented on your behalf as an investment.

So it is not unreasonable for a General to afford such. Be aware that Nigerians generals and even ratings (korofo ) do not depend solely on their salaries. Their posting and operational allowances can sometimes be higher than their salaries. I have an in law who is a naval rating and her allowances alone is almost as much as her salary.

Finally, there is no law than mandate your sources of wealth must be known in Nigeria, so public servants who are suspected to have stolen money can only be charged with breaking the code of conduct bureau act, under which undeclared properties can be seized.

With a clear conscience and with facts on your side to back up your properties and investments with proper records and proof of legitimate purchase and earnings, you should be able to declare every inch of your assets with zero exception, but when you conveniently leave out or hide your assets when asked to do so by the FG, it's safe to conclude that you are lying and your assets are illegally purchased assets.


If you are going to defend this crook and reckless looter and obviously corrupt public official, you should first explain to us why he did not fully declare his assets and how he mathematically saved at least the 4 million pounds he bought the 2 properties in London with, less than 8 years after entering the Nigerian senate.
