Imagine out of 198 cadets, 195 passed. Is it that the training is too easy or what??

Dicon should get license to produce the Tavor, an SMG and a Grenade launcher that would be standard for the armed forces.

We won't acquire Tavor in such numbers that it would entice IWI to give us license. However if we commit to making 5.56 rounds, the benefits would be huge (Ghana,Senegal uses 5.56 service wide)

On the SMG, only special teams would need them and that means low numbers - just produce 9mm @ DICON instead
I fully support license production for Grenade launchers (Multiple & Automatic). A competitive tender process between SA,Singapore etc would make sense

Furthermore, MoD needs to approach some country to enable us produce AA rounds, mortar rounds, howitzer rounds etc

PRESS RELEASE

OPERATIVES OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE AND DEPARTMENT OF STATE SERVICE NAB BOKO HARAM IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE EXPERT

Combined Operatives of Operation Lafiya Dole and the Department of State Service conducting Counter Terrorism Operations in north eastern Nigeria have arrested a Boko Haram terrorist who specializes in making Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) for the terrorists group. Adamu Hassan aka Baale was nabbed by the operatives at Kaltungo in Gombe State during a Stop and Search Operation along Bauchi - Gombe road.

In a separate operation, troops of operation Lafiya Dole in a joint operation with Vigilantes on Monday evening busted a raid operation by elements of the Boko Haram terrorists rummaging for food and logistics at Kudiye community , along Dikwa - Gulumbagana Road. The four man raid team was intercepted by troops following a tip- off that the insurgents were on their way to loot the community.

The insurgents who revealed that they belong to the Abubakar Shekau faction of the Boko Haram terrorists group have been taken into custody and are making useful confessions. Troops also recovered two motorcycles, bags of grains and tamarin from the insurgents.

Meanwhile, troops conducting clearance operations yesterday killed three Boko Haram insurgents in two separate encounters in the mountainous region of Bokko Hilde, along Ngoshe - Pulka road and Mujigine general area respectively. The troops neutralised the insurgents during clearance operations to rid the areas of elements of the Boko Haram insurgents who had escaped from troops' offensive operations in the Sambisa forest. Troops also recovered two AK 47 rifles and a motorcycle from the insurgents.

It is expedient to bring to public awareness, that in its desperation to survive troops' onslaught and remain relevant in the eyes of the public, the Boko Haram terrorists group has continued to make frantic efforts to infiltrate communities with Person Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (Suicide bombers) to callously unleash terror and fear on the populace. Members of the public are therefore enjoined to remain vigilant and watchful while going about their normal activities and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to appropriate security agencies.

Please disseminate this information to the general public through your various news media.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu
Deputy Director Public Relations
Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole

What happened to the Nigerian presidential jet 001? All of the president's movement for about 2-3 months now has been on the smaller aircrafts.

His visit to the United Kingdom is also with another aircraft in the presidential air fleet and not the 737.

Probably the cost maintenance is high; I wouldn't be surprised if it's been transfered to the NAF.

Dude, you won't be surprised if Eagle One, a Boeing 737, Presidential plane plane is transferred to the NAF?

Do you even think at all?

Do you even bother applying any form of fickle matter/grey cells when posting?

Your comments can be so ridiculous it's not even funny anymore.

They dare not try that. NAF can never maintain such high tech aircraft. I guess it's on a maintenance routine.

You dey mind that boy.
Every single government worker is insured, from health insurance to life insurance. The health insurance even covers your immediate family members. A lot of government workers use this to make money by exaggerating their ailment.
Once a military personnel dies, after the record of service of the deceased has been processed, payment will be made to the next of kin strictly based on the last promotion of such person. Sometimes it may take a while but government always pay it debt.
