The ministers don't earn much except through their travel allowance/estacode.

If we had kept the avaricous, extravagant lifestyle of our leaders in check all this while, the country would have been better for it.

But their estacode could run into tens and hundreds of millions monthly not to talk of kick backs from contractors and the so called free will donations.

Nigerians are to rise against the national assembly members for pay cut before the general elections. how can you earn 18000 monthly and senators receives +38m naira monthly.

The kickbacks potentially, yes.

The estacode though much one can imagine is a fixed rate and standardized not arbitrary.

Most of today's youths are not qualified to hold any political posts. They had quality education back then. Now we just have a country full of graduates with no skills. A lot people think there are no jobs in Nigeria. Trust me jobs yapa for Naija; but the graduates we have today were not taught how to function in a society that thrives on skills. Ever asked why a first class graduate can till be at home after two years. We need to do away with our archaic syllabus but the people that would push for that knows that if that should happen they themselves will be out of jobs. So before handing the future of this country to youths (Yahaya Bello is a youth o...what a monumental disgrace to governance) Let's start producing graduates that are sound by giving them an all round experience in school. We have to mix theory with practicals , real life skills over grades. What's the point of having a first class and you can't even use excel or word Who will employ you?

I'll do same work he does without both basic salary and any sumptuous allowance.

It's high time we voters started prevailing on this political office holders to erase their self centered allowances .

If u aren't ready to go into DT political office without remuneration at all, don't stand in d election.
