The level of football is improving though i rate the players of 1990s- 2000s better that the players of this era. Check out AC Milan,Inter,Parma,Lazio[Gazza was once here],Ajax,PSV,Barcelona[at a time,Stoickov,Ronaldo,Hagi etc were in this team],Bayern,Hamburg, etc,. English teams were nowhere then except perhaps Man U[Always beaten then]

Musa has not improved,he was even better at u20 with Kayode. Now,he is no longer needed.

I am still waiting for Musa s three crosses in eight years!

... what do you think of the penalty and red card..
Very soft call. Benatia got the ball. Not a penalty in such circumstances.

Always viewed Musa like Walcott. More of a wide forward than a winger. I personally prefer him at CF than outwide. He makes some good runs in behind at times.

you mean you prefer musa as a CF?
you're funny...it seems you don't know how wasteful he is in front of goals...please go re-watch Nigeria vs south Africa match in uyo during keshi era...

musa is better as as sub....keshi used these rhythm to get the best from him during the afcon 2013....he can always come in to outrun the defenders.....during 30-10 minutes left to play...and he should be deployed to the wings.

Off the top of my head.

1. Musa assist for Ideye against Mali in the 2013 nations cup

2. Musa cross for Nwofor in the Mandela cup.

3. Musa cross for Victor Moses against Algeria

4. Moses deep cross for Simon Moses against cameroon in a friendly game.

''Musa and I had a normal conversation yesterday. And if he is ready tomorrow, tomorrow he will play. My ambitions here will not influence the decision.''

It was earlier claimed that Goncharenko told the Leicester City loanee that he will sit on the bench forever after the Super Eagles striker publicly humiliated the Belarusian in front of 19,054 spectators on Monday.

Musa has started all the matches contested by the Muscovites since he re-joined the club in the January transfer window, scoring one goal.

depends on what Buffon said to the ref I guess.. I'm not sure of the rules.. but he deserved a caution at least.

Modified
It was a clear goal scoring opportunity but the player was clearly pushed down. would be hard for any ref to look away IMO considering the circumstance

Musa is not even a starter in the current SE set up.
I wonder who you guys want to make the 35 man list if guys like Kalu should not be invited. The purpose is to give every player in the list a chance to fight for the 23 slots..

Look at the kinds of teams monitoring Ebere Eze

TEN clubs eyeing up QPR whizzkid Ebere Eze

QPR hotshot Ebere Eze is reportedly being watched by TEN different Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Champions-elect Manchester City.

The 19-year-old started the season out on loan with League Two Wycombe Wanderers, where he scored five goals before returning to Loftus Road in January to strengthen Ian Holloway's attacking options.

He's been getting rave reviews in west London this season, with his manager and team mates alike bigging up the youngster's talents, and according to the Sun on Sunday, he was watched by ten different top flight clubs in QPR's Easter Monday win over Norwich City.

Holloway admitted that he's scared of losing his young talents, like he did with Josh Bowler to Everton in the summer, and with Eze, Paul Smyth, Darnell Furlong and Ryan Manning all excelling, it comes as no surprise there's interest in his youngsters.

Eze enters the final year of his contract this summer, and it's been suggested in the past few months that the Rs are considering tying him down to a new deal, although so far there's been no movement on that front.

OGN REPORT:

Akpeyi was voted as Man of the Match in their wins over Free State Stars ‎and Mamelodi Sundowns, games they won 1-0 and 2-0 respectively before they were beaten 3-0 by Kaizer Chiefs in their last league game.

REALITY:
Akpeyi actually was on hand to deny Kaizer several times away. Chippa beat Kaizer Chiefs in that game 3-0. Not the other way around.

The "source" that leaked the naija player playing with a fake passport. Now he's come out and said it's Moses Simon. Said he'll expose DFW and Rohr

One of the ills of Manu Garba. How so?
"there are somethings one know but shouldn't say". Then what then?

He sounds like someone disgruntled.. If he had something to say Simon, he should come out and expose it instead of making a fool of himself with riddle-like news.

As regards Rohr, we are waiting.

I'm not against Kalu or any new player being named in the 35 man list.. But it won't stop Musa from making the 23 man list, will it?? Musa might not consistent in the GWG, but there is something about him that's been keeping him in the national team for long...

The likes of Kalu should keep doing their thing... I'm sure they will get a look in post Russia..

The coach will decide eventually. Some of these players deserve to be watched more closely in camp.

The below article gives an idea of the how Umar is rated by the dutch press.. Van persie recently labeled him unplayable not too long ago.

Sadiq Umar provides sleepless nights for weakened Willem II

How to stop Sadiq Umar? And with whom? The man in form at NAC, drives his opponents to despair, these days will cause sleepless nights in Tilburg where the personnel problems in the back of the week increase. The suspension of Darryl Lachman comes Willem II particularly bad for the derby on Sunday (12.30) in Breda.

Lachman was red carded against Excelsior (2-1 loss) on Friday and has to watch a match from the stands. On Monday, he accepted the settlement proposal of the prosecutor for paid football. That means that trainer Reinier Robbemond besides Jordens Peters and Thomas Meissner should miss a third central defender. Captain Peters is on the side since November with a knee injury, the end of January of ADO Den Haag reached substitute Meissner broke his leg in his fourth match for Willem II.

Indispensable

With Freek Heerkens and Job van der Linden, Robbemond only has two baskets at his disposal to keep Umar in check. The almost two meters long Nigerian that Saturday was at times elusive for the defense of Vitesse. The foul prior to Jose Angeliño's free kick was made on Umar. In addition, the striker against both Feyenoord (2-1 victory) and ADO Den Haag (0-2 victory) drew a penalty.

In nine league matches, Umar is on four goals, an assist and he got two penalty's and a free kick from which NAC scored. He was involved in six of the last eight Bredase hits. The truncated defense of Tilburg stands without the three most important central defenders for an almost impossible task to keep the unpredictable and barely stopping Umar in check.
