we keep on looking for Aluko and co when we have a gem, if this dude can be trusted by Wenger why can't Rohr do same.

To me the only time Iwobi should play from the wings is when Mikel is in the game.

How do you take a hateful and despicable website like ANS serious? A website that said a Nigerian player (we all know is Moses Simon) came back with a contagious disease to Gent, a website that prides itself in doing team of the week for under-16s in England (smh), a website that always quarrels with all other websites, a website that if you give a different view on Twitter then you are blocked - you take them serious. O boy allow God use oooo. You can tell they have beef with DMW and Rohr may be close to DMW.

Rohr Forcing Nigerian Players To Sign Contracts For World Cup Spots, DW Sports Agency Breaches Fifa Rule
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr may be involved in some underhand dealings that will jeopardize the chances of the national team performing well at the 2018 World Cup.

The German is imitating Nigeria 1994 World Cup coach Clemens Westerhof, who forced Emmanuel Amuneke to sign for Duisburg and coerced Daniel Amokachi to join Club Brugge over Anderlecht who were also interested in his services.

There are rumours that Rohr has joined forces with DW Sports Management to force Super Eagles players to sign representative agreements with the French-based agency or be omitted from the roster for the World Cup.

It is confirmed that Rohr visited Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon in Russia and Belgium respectively and few months later the two wingers joined the stable of DW Sports Management.

This website can confirm one hundred percent that the Gent winger was financially induced by DW Sports Management before he penned the representation contract and will pocket a percentage of the commission if he joins a new club after leaving Belgium and this is a breach of Fifa's rules banning third parties from influencing the transfer of players.

Bursaspor defender William Troost-Ekong was also approached to join DW Sports Management but he refused their overtures despite Rohr surprisingly handing him the captain's armband against Poland last month in a pre-World Cup friendly.

DW Sports Management also handles the affairs of Henry Onyekuru, Mikel Agu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Brian Idowu and Abdullahi Shehu, bringing the total number of World Cup bound players they manage to seven and counting.

English-based agent Tony Harris influenced the naming of Reuben Gabriel, Michael Uchebo, Ahmed Musa and Uche Nwofor in Nigeria's 2014 World Cup squad and the national team lacked a quality bench in the mundial, they struggled to qualify for the last sixteen before they were eliminated.

In the light of the foregoing, Rohr and DW Sports Management's antics will affect the Super Eagles performance in Russia if they are not cautioned by the Nigerian Federation.

The bolded has a simple answer if we were honest with ourselves. The answer is Sadiq Umar. Remember why we were hot on the hills of Tammy, now luckily to us, Umar is even an upgrade on Tammy, so why not give him that opportunity.

And to ur last paragraph, please Ighalo ain't the best, we have better strikers, only the technical crew know why they prefer Ighalo.

Ighalo, Agu, Simon and Musa wouldn't make my team.

Consider the bolded an upgrade on Tammy. Tell me one attribute he has that's better than a Tega Abrahams.

Umar is a youth player that has barely played 20 professional games in his entire career and he is 21 those are abysmal statistics. How many goals has he even scored in the Belguim league which is whether we like it or not is more or less on par with the Turkish league.

He is not SE material for now with a long way to go.

He may seem physically imposing strong and fast in Belgium league. But the way he easily get bullied and is constantly falling over, I doubt if he can survive league 1 in England. He will certainly not be a stand out player.

He is no where near the level of Tega.

If I was to compare him to Uche Ikpeazu former Reading player now playing in league 2. Ikpeazu in the context of physicality will leave him in the dust.

Same thing with Stephen Odey, when he went on trial to a club in Denmark... Direct transfers are rare..

This is not unusual. Ibrahimovic was once upon a time invited for trials at Arsenal.
Every player must have at a period in their careers invited for trial irrespective of how talented they are presumed to be.
Even the so called academy players audition before being signed.

Our league is more of English northern national league or German Regiollina to them.

In all truthfulness I don't blame them(oyibo people) because many of them(our so called stars) has flopped abroad. Like tbaba said, scoring goals in NPFL is nothing extraordinary.

Fun Fact:
At beginning of every season, a striker, skipper or penalty taker of all the 20 teams will be expecting at least 19 future clear goal scoring chances that will result from penalty of 19 home matches embarassed

Our league may not be the best but this comment is exaggerated because it took more than 20 years for someone to break Isaya Jatu's record of 17 goals in the league. And currently, Mfom Udoh is the league's all time top scorer with just 23 goals

Academy players on trial, very normal... When a top striker in a league is on trial, it means there is little trust in that league.

Victor Moses crossed for an assist while playing for Chelsea recently.
He should be instructed to vary his play. He has it in him.
Kalu will be a good inclusion, that's if he would be able to outwit either Simon or Musa eventually.

How about forwards who can also use their heads? We need that option in our team.

Mujtahida:

We flat in the air. Not good at crosses and worse still we don't even cross. Throughout the two friendlies, not even a single cross,

Bros there is no rule to it, sometimes you hear a big player is training with a team because he is clubless and the next thing, they signed him. Ogbuke with his years in Europe went for trial in boton

i am not struggling to defend myself , but telling you the importance of a winger to the team (juvetus) , also playing to a certain strength of a player ...

get the importance of playing to the strength of a player ... super eagles lack this .

To that guy who asked who will be the headers, please have u seen Sadiq Umar play? He is a wizard in the air. I am no fan of Ighalo, in fact I want him out of that team ASAP because he misses lots of chances but, did u see his header against Cameroun in Brussels and also Kelechi's header against Cameroun in Uyo?

We can score from crosses but unfortunately the crosses ain't coming through because we have whack wingers in Simon and Musa (the two headless chickens).

A Frontline with Sadiq as the top striker and Kalu as the winger will produce powerful bullet plus glancing headers from pinpoint crosses.

I honestly don't see our team as a serious team whenever I see the trio of Musa, Simon and Ighalo in the list of invited players or match day squad

Sadiq as your top striker? Keep on dreaming, someone who is yet to even score 10 goals in his career

THe Nigerian league is barely on tv. Knowing that it takes over 30 games to scout a player.
see:Thomas Thomas vermalean's example.

"It's a good thing," Van Persie said. "There's nothing wrong with the qualities of Vermaelen. He can play as a left-back or a central defender and we need this type of player. The guys that we now have on those positions are already somewhat older.
"He doesn't do such a thing out of the blue. He needs to see a player 30 to 40 times before a decision is made."
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/5493348/Arsenals-Robin-van-Persie-praises-Thomas-Vermaelen-interest.html

It makes makes perfect sense to request an audition to have a first hand feel of what a player is all about, expect on very rare cases (most times if a high profile agent is involved) a player could be signed straight from a less visible league without trial. Can Okputu boast of over 30 scouting tapes?
It is a matter of visibility in my opinion.

Let's see if UEFA will be fair enough to hand Salah that Balon d'Or.

If they win the UCL, it would be a big decider before World Cup of Ndidi joining the Kops. But if Papi Rohrs makes us reach the semis, clubs would fight for his signature. Semis is too much sef, round of 16will be enough for competition.

U no see as I snub am dey go my way? No be everybody I dey follow argue. Ighalo scored loads of goals in his farm. He was poor in Italy, Spain and the EPL. U wanna rate him because of his exploits in the championship, the same league a poor player like Tammy was a hero? Before his injury, an aged Martins was even doing better than this so called masked man in China.

With his so called exploits(loads of goals according to Dat boy Martz10), what has he done for the Eagles in a plethora of matches despite the mammoth of chances created for him to score?

Ppl go just dey open mouth anyhow.

That is possibly one factor but that is not all... If the NPFL players were showing top quality, clubs would not mind recruiting staff to scout in Nigeria.
.
If they can buy top talent for cheap and sell at a higher rate, it only helps their bottom line

The truth is that several Nigerian players go abroad with top resumes from the Nigerian league but end up bang average or worse. There are several examples of this

There are are also those who have left the Nigerian scene and became world beaters. Kanu, Okocha, Finidi, Yekini to name a few.

The truth is that for NPFL clubs to get the attention of the world, the national team must do well in major international competitions. The exploits of the famous 1994 and 1996 teams put local based players on the spotlight.

Should this Gernot Rohr team get to the finals of the world cup (hypothetically speakingod course). We will witness a boom in the local football industry. This is a fact

Musa Ahmed has done few but quite important things for our football. I could vividly remember the under 20 nations cup in south Africa. Musa was menacing and when his club decided to recall him all hell went loose. This guy scored that crucial goal in Kenya that set us on the road to 2014 world cup. Against the argies at the world cup two well taken goals. Against arsenal fantastic. Musa no all our players need us to stand by them. They qualified from the most difficult group dropping just four points.
Invite A today, invite B tomorrow, all those we had shouted their names for invitation what extraordinary things have they done. Nothing. Haaa Naija just cos of Serbia win over us we don they fear dey change mouth. Including myself!!!
We should trust and support these guys. They will RISE UP to the occasion.
