Ratawu: Please can you clarify on that is it that they don't process in Ghana again just Nairobi and Lagos. I'm confused please? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Nobody: 8:31am On Apr 13, 2018 |
adel3951: You dont have to be confused. Just stick to Ghana as usual. They will acknowledge and process. Its just obvious now that more offices are processing study permits which is the reason for the reduced processing time for Nigeria. Hope this helps. |

sweetmb4real200:sweetmb4real200, Sorry for the late response Sir/Ma. I have been busy lately. Don't be in a hurry to apply to a college for a PGD, your best sell here is to apply for a Masters degree that would be relevant to your previous studies/job role on the discipline of electrical engineering since you graduated from the University with a 2.1 than settling for a PGD in a college. My advise! 1 Like |

Ratawu:Ratawu, Lagos does not process study permit. VFS office acknowledges/recieves documents while all correspondence are couriered to Accra Ghana, which after successful processing of applicant visa, it will then be transferred to their local VFS office for passport submission/pick up. But currently, I noticed that all correspondence are now treated at: High Commission of Canada, Visa Section, P.O. Box 1013, 00621 - Nairobi Kenya. www.kenya.gc.ca Stay safe! |

Good morning Guru's, a friend advised me to join this forum, read and understand relevant issues as regards to getting a study permit, i must commend folks in this forum, mehnnnnn intelligent comments, educative and inspiring.....Thank you Guru's I just got a an Offer letter from Dalhousie University, Halifax Nova Scotia, for an MA in Economics. I am clueless when it comes to study permit issues...I however have decided to read through comments, ask questions before making my application. Guru's , My questions are 1. What kind of application would you rather have me submit(paper or online)? 2. My Uncle(my mum's cousin) is my financial sponsor, he has given me a financial sponsorship letter and a weighty bank statement, do i still need him to write on why he has decided to fund me? 3. I stay in Abuja, where do i submit my paper application if their is a need for such? 4. My offer came with a support fund, which includes a Taught Assistant Job role and a $4000 scholarship support, will this be of any advantage? 5. I have a travel history to the UK, Although i changed my middle name on my passport early last year, because i wanted the name on my international passport to be the same name on my educational documents ,i have done a court affidavit, newspaper publication etc.Any issues as regards to this? 6. Do i need to pay for medicals separately from the visa cost? Guru's please i need clearifications as to the above questions Thank you. |

Good day all. I want to ask for clarification on online route. 1. Do I have to download the application for study visa form and fill or it's possible to fill online without downloading so as to validate it? 2. Can I download the form and fill with a pen, then scan it back? 3. If number 2 is possible, where does validation come in? I need answers to these questions as the only document I'm waiting for is CAQ, once I have it, I should be ready to apply for TRV |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 10:43am On Apr 13, 2018 |
MeinKampf: Fill online and validate before uploading or printing to submit if paper route. No filings with pen allowed. Validation is an absolute requirement. However, the study questionnaire may be filled with pen if you have a knack for penmanship that you are keen on showing. |

Just put Lagos address there, where it will be processed is not your concern. All you want is the out come should be positive. QED adel3951: |

Hello, I just read your response and I would like to ask. ( i am sorry I am asking a lot of questions) *coverface*. Please, oh I am using my company as the sponsor. It's actually run by myself and my husband. We are both directors and the CAC shows all of that information. My CFO and my husband have signed that the company would sponsor my tuition. I work full time in the company and manage the sales bit of the business. Does the company have to transfer the 1-year tuition from my company account to mine? Or may the company just state that the funds are available and they will pay ( stating the dates that the payment is due). If the company transfer the Tuition, wouldn't it show as a huge lodgement and wouldn't that raise an eyebrow? Please advise. Thanks, for your patience to answer my questions. Goingforward |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 12:50pm On Apr 13, 2018 |
Ratawu: It may have been forwarded to Lagos to join other applications getting dispatched to Accra to lessen cost of shipment directly. Eventually you will see that your decisions are made and come from Accra. This is true for someone I know who filed in Abuja and received the same message saying it was forwarded to Lagos and eventually received decision from Accra. You know this VFS people are cheap skates and into business and profiteering. They even charge exorbitant costs 2k for just one page form if you make mistake in your application leaving any gaps and they have to correct it for you. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Phocusjosh(m): 12:51pm On Apr 13, 2018 |
It doesn't mean that study permit is processed in Lagos. You got this info because you did your biometric in VFS Lagos office, This has been their usual notification after completing biometric. Ratawu: |
