gunpoint:The fact That you make money and bla bla doesn't immediately negate the existence of racism. If you have children, guess who will be at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to socialising and a multicultural experience? Your children. You can focus on making money and Think that's the be all and end all but I feel sorry for your children because you will obviously be oblivious to the many struggles they will face. Maybe you don't know but you also need to fix your mindset . Calling people bottom feeders and other horrid names is not a nice thing to think or say. |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by gunpoint(m): 6:53am On Apr 15, 2018 |
soopamom:Again you misunderstand, you and i will never fully integrate here, i came at 33, i am never going to have the same mateship with people who were born and grew together and that is my point, Australians find it harder to let new people into their existing social circles, even other white people have reported the same, just moving from Sydney to Perth is a no no for lots of people and once they attempt it they experience the same. And as for you bottom feeder comment, make of that what you will, my reference is to ambition, not to people's station in life. I am telling all these people to come here with ambitions the size of mountains(not that religious mumbojumbo shit) and the cujones to back it up! And to avoid people who will put down your mentality, how is that a bad thing? You would have them socialise with white racist brickies/cleaners who will constantly tell them they are less then them or black people who have been here for ages and done nothing with themselves and would readily tell you its cos no one gave them a chance cos of their skin colour? The advise i have given these people is the same our parents gave everyone of us growing up, you are who you associate with, now maybe your understanding of what i have said is that every low skilled white person is racist or every low skilled black person is emotionally challenged, thats not what i meant to convey and thats missing the bloody point. The point is we do those jobs that allow us meet these people cos thats what we have to do to survive when we first come here. Don't become one of them, every society has its low, middle and upper classes, i am encouraging every immigrant here not to fall into the bottom rung, how is that a bad thing? Finally it says something that of the many positive points i have made, you would only pick the probably inelegant use of bottom feeder i used, so nothing else i said makes sense? 3 Likes |

gunpoint:Guy, a lot of what you have said makes a lot of sense. I only voiced what I disagreed with which is the part where you said there is no racism in Australia. Racism makes it that much harder for people to succeed. Fact. |

Asin hehn i just weaked. I feel there is a mentality that will defeat you before you even try. If you wanted friends and social validation and security why even leave home? I studied Mechanical engineering in Nigeria and couldn't even get a look in in Nigeria because i got a 2.2 but i was treated differently here and accepted, i will always say Australians aren't racist. Funny enough if anyone as ever treated me differently, it was in Nigeria Anyways, you can't save everyone. All we can do is drop good advise, and those who will listen will, those who won't just won't. |

soopamom:You are sounding as if Australia is the most racist country in the world, try eastern European countries like Poland and other Scandinavian countries and see the real meaning of rascism then you will find out that if there's rascism in Australia as you claim, is still a child's play compare to those countries. Have been here for over a year, can't say there is no rascism but have never experience any circumstance relating to rascism. 1 Like |

nogara: I think you should heed to what @gunpoint told you. If your aim is PR, abeg use your Mech from here run am. If at all you have at least 2 years experience, you can make it through the PR process, maybe using 489. much better and cheaper than using school. I have a B.Eng in Production Engineering and waiting for Grant on 489. So do the needful bro. Thanks @gunpoint for replying a lot of people here. |

Thanks for this advise, Just to enquire, Does Teaching have an adavantage over Education, I ask because, while searching several Universities,;its been difficult to find a University that offers PGD in Teaching, but rather few offer PGD in Education,Most offer Masters in Teaching aand some others Masters in Education. Example A University wrote on their website that base on the request from the Government they have converted PDG in Teaching to Masters in Teaching from 2018. So what is the best advise for this situation. I have been mislead by an agent before so I dont want a repitition, Considering the fact that Australia requires agents for applications. Just for clarification,I discussed this with my agent as regards 1 year programme (PDG in Teaching) giving an opportunity to apply for PR, he said one must do a 2 year programme to be eligible to apply for PR, please is there more info/explanation/ a link to guide me on this. Thanks in anticipation gunpoint: |

Since noone knows nothing for sure, we can make assumptions and logically assess such hypothesis, all for the purpose of keeping hope alive. Personally, I think all hands are on deck in DIBP to monitor the influx and putflux of spectators, fans and patriot in order to ensure they leave the country immediately after the commonwealth games. Although, it came to an end on the 15th April 2018. Hopefully, we should start hearing news of Visa grants two weeks from today. Did I mention that it is my opinion. Yes I did kessel: |
