You are in the best position to decide on this and google is actually your best friend. Find out where your course is required and eliminate based on cost of living in that Province. This site might be useful https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Canada

Good afternoon everyone.

Please Is there anyone who obtained a degree following a diploma from unilag and successfully evaluated his/her BSC/BA degree with WES. I received the status update on my Wes and don't know how to go about it.

Please note that I am not trying to evaluate my diploma. Apparently, the transcript shows from 200L-400L.

Thanks for the response in advance.

Please can you tell me how you sorted this issue out as I currently need to sort this out.

Thank you in advance.

By page 100, I was wondering why anyone would pay for an agent, the process is so straightforward and quite easy too.
By page 200, I certified myself competent and knowledgeable enough to open an immigration and travel agency cool grin grin

This thread is a goldmine of information and I just want to thank everyone who helped build it to this level, you're all awesome!!
may it end in praise cheesy

You have done yourself a great deal of good by choosing to read up. I shall begin to consult with you henceforth, our new champion. It will only get more interesting from here on. Welcome to the "long thread"

I have previously used that site and prices are relatively the same in most provinces,I have checked tax rates, checked housing rentals fee for Ontario(so expensive) against Manitoba(quite cheap but tax rate nah die and household cost get yearly increase like Lagos landlords),I need the experiences of people who are there to make a better informed decision.is it like Nigeria where all the jobs are in Lagos...what's the chances of getting a wonderful job if I don't wanna go to Ontario(population of 12 million when the whole canny population is 36 million)

Maybe you should ask this question in the 'living in Canada thread'. You are likely to get more information from people actually in Canada

Ontop this canny waka...my guy whow graduated with a first class is thinking of doing pgd at NOUN. grin grin

The hustle for 2 or more cert is real o. He got ICAN but since WES does not give it a positive evaluation, he is insisting on doing pgd.

I already told him it's not possible but I need to be sure it's correct bcs for all I know it's people with 2'2 or lower that can enrol.

If he has ATS, he can consider using that.

This is encouraging. Please dear I have a question which I know you might have an answer. What's the NOC for someone that has RN and RM from school of nursing and midwifery respectively? I want to be sure that my wife choses the best NOC for her qualifications. Thanks

3012 or 3233. Confirm with her which one of these apply the most.

finally caught up with the thread

Isn't it funny how life is? Someone with HND and OND has more value (more points) than someone with a 1st class. In this journey, no difference between 1st class and 3rd class. Lol

Hello guys, thanks for this forum. I Don run come here. As US no wan hear word again o.

Please eehh. I wan start this canaanland journey.
I have my BSc in geology(2:2) (does class of degree affect CRS points or evaluation for WES end? If yes and I need to do more grad certificates. Should I continue in Geology or something else that has to do with my JD.

I work in an oil company, not drilling company though. But my Job description there is secretarial in nature, executive assistant to the group chairman.. So now I'm confused o. I have read through and through for ideas but I'm not seeing any. What NOC should I choose.

Also if one is not paid through bank.. What else can you show to verify work place.. Ejoor. God bless you all for the good work.

- Class of degree has no effect on CRS
- If you post your JD, we could help you match them to an appropriate NOC. An accountant in an oil company wouldn't search amongst the engineering-related NOCs. It's possible you're searching in the wrong areas.
- Employment letter, promotion letters (if any), e-mail correspondences (would be a more persuasive evidence if your official mail is hosted on the Company's domain), payslips etc

Thanks for this information. I wish I had seen this earlier.
I received an ADR for UK PCC given that my personal history indicates that i obtained an Msc from the University of London (even though i had indicated that it was by correspondence).

I've just raised a CSE yesterday to that effect as there's no avenue for an LOE was provided on the portal. Now I wait for feedback which i pray shouldn't be delayed.

Thanks everyone for your very useful posts which i have been silently reading, as a member of the "National Association of Peepers" NAOP grin

Any further helpful comments will be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi all,

I just wt to add a caution note to all Distance Learning Candidates. Please oh please ...do not forget to add a Letter of explanation detailing that your program is a DL course- even if this is boldly stated on your transcript. We recently had our application cancelled for not providing the PCC for studies in a foreign country. Thankfully after raising cse, calling Ottawa, and praying (...enough prayers)...our application got reopened. This might help someone. Thanks to all our contributors Naija for better if it had the community spirit we have here.

I think you meant someone with OND and HND compared with BSC cos there is first class in the polytechnic too.

Yea, typically OND and HND holders are looked upon as being 'less' than almighty BSC in Nigeria, to now add that the BSC is First class, lol

Do you have an msc ? I have a few of my colleagues doing something to add an msc in a private school and its cheap and fast. You can send me a mail with your whatsap on ayonaira@yahoo.com let me share the idea with you maybe that could help boost ur CRS.

Thanks bro, it will definitely get more interesting.
I'm going to pick up my new passport tomorrow and then register for IELTS with MOD.
They still have slots open for April 21 and the daredevil in me is considering it but I'll probably play safe and choose May 12.

This group is awesome. I have learnt a lot from here!

Please try and help yourself first. At least give her 2 or 3 NOC which you think you may fall in and also post your job description. As for th PM Assistant I doubt you can use it at all as its less than 1 year

From your previous posts, you have more years of experience as an Office Manager, so you may want to use that. If that's the case, then you most likely fall under NOC 1221. Check the link below and see if it suits

http://noc.esdc.gc.ca/English/noc/Profile.aspx?val=0&val1=1221&ver=11&_ga=2.96878680.67840995.1523784125-1078909395.1515678139

Oh dear ! An angel finally responds. May God bless you earnestly for me sir.

As executive assistant to the group chairman My JD basically includes these.

Keeping, managing files of mining sites and oil wells for the company.

Confirming itineraries and meetings for the executive

Keeping record of daily events and diaries

Assisting the geologists in field analysis and interpretations

Writing mails, responding to mails etc, etc..

Carrying out major computer works in the office
