My problem is that the society is designed for few men in power to be stronger than the populace. Just think of what would happen if every Nigerian stage enough is enough protest. The so called power service provider will have no choice than to comply. I was told of a man that paid to the bank and those collecting money in the office were not happy with him. This is to say that they are pocketing the money in most cases.

Dapchi: Leah Sharibu Escaped From Boko Haram Camp But Ended In Wrong Hands

Leah Sharibu, the only student of Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, still in Boko Haram custody, reportedly made an unsuccessful attempt to escape.

The insurgents abducted 110 students on February 19 and released them a month later, with the exception of Sharibu and five students who died in captivity.

Make sure you write a reminder after 2 weeks and ever forget to ask for stop to the outrageous bills and request for meter also.

1. All new electricity connections must be done strictly based on metering before connection. That is, no new customer should be connected by a DisCo without a meter first being installed at the premises.
2. All customers have a right to electricity supply in a safe and reliable manner.
3. All customers have a right to a properly installed and functional meter.
4. All customers have a right to properly informed and educated on the electricity service.
5. All customers have a right to transparent electricity billing.
6. All Un-metered customers should be issued with electricity bills strictly based on NERC’s estimated billing methodology.
7. It is the customer’s right to be notified in writing ahead of disconnection of electricity service by the DisCo serving the customer in line with NERC’s guidelines.
8. All customers have a right to refund when over billed.
9. All customers have a right to file complaints and to the prompt investigation of complaints.
10. All complaints on electricity supply and other billing issues are to be sent to the nearest business unit of the DisCo serving the customer.
11. If a complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, customers have a right to escalate the issue to the NERC Forum Office within the coverage area of the DisCo.
12. Customers have the right to appeal the decision of the NERC Forum Office by writing a petition to the Commission.
13. It is the customer’s right to contest any electricity bill.
14. Any un-metered customer who is disputing his or her estimated bill has the right not to pay the disputed bill, but pay only the last undisputed bill as the contested bill go through the dispute resolution process of NERC.

corruption is everywhere that people now see it as a way of life.which eat up the economic sectors in Nigeria.firstly, I must commend the customer,she actually knows what she want.She did not achieve or succeed in that because she was informed but she knowns are right as a citizen of Nigeria. what is affecting us in this country today is that we don't know our right as citizen of Nigeria.

That is lovely Op..at my area,around 2011 the fools gave me a monthly bill 16k to 23k,l have accumulated 270k plus,as God would save me from ikj menace the prepaid meter was install in August free of charged,today are l spent btw 3.5 to 4k ..

Do you have power 247? Why you paying so much for electricity? I pay about half of that per month currently.
