This is to inform 2018 Batch "A" PCMs to kindly note the following ahead of Commencement of the Orientation Exercise.

i. Persons who studied in Nigeria should bring to camp: Degree/HND Certificates or Statement of Results, Personal Identity Card from Institution of graduation.

Foreign graduates should bring for verification, original copies of ALL their uploaded credentials and travel documents including International passport.

ii. Foreign graduates are to ensure that academic paper(s) in Languages other than English must be translated into English accordingly; both versions must be presented for verification at the camp.

iii. Medical/veterinary Doctors, Dentists, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Physiotherapists Nurses and Public Environmental Health graduates should bring their professional licenses or certificates of full registration issued by their professional bodies.

I don't know about other camps...but if you have been posted to Plateau State, please just go with stuff you can comfortably carry on your head and frogjump from the camp gate to the residential area



Your 1st task as an Otondo is to frogjump with all your baggage from the camp gate to the residential area...when I did mine in 2015, I counted up to 60 frogjump before i stopped


And don't take it personal....The soldiers are very friendly there....Just keep your whites and nysc cap on at all times excluding Sundays, never walk sluggishly, obey all instructions, and you will be fine

In addition, go with passport photograph (10)
Writing materials,
Make some photocopies of your documents
Provision (cos food in the camp is always terrible, but mammy can always bail you out)
2 or 3 clothes
Bed spread
Asthmatic patient, pls always be with ur inhaler.
Most importantly, go with enough money....and any other important items.

Be light enough in carrying loads (luggage) else, u will suffer from the entrance.

But pls don't go with fork, knives, pressing iron, stove or gas, pots.

ADVISE to gals posted to the North, pls don't make Hair full of wigs, else ur hair will turn to Iron Sponge because of the scorching sun in the North.
