I am not sure this is a general occurrence cos I traveled 2 weeks to my visa expiry some years back n I was only stamped in for two weeks. In fact I was stamped in till the date of the visa expiry. I was not scrutinized in any way. POE was Atlanta

We have no idea what prompted them to deny you the visa 3 times.
Maybe you were the reason why your wife was denied. So, if that is the case, applying alone won't help.
In essence, no one knows your chances.

The event which we require the visa for, is taking place in the second week of May. Is it possible to get a special appointment?

I still have not gotten any help tips as to regards my case :

Please House I was able to get through to the embassy and canceled the previous appointment date made by agent, and I booked for July. Now I was not able to get the username and password from him so I can change what ever he prepared me as.
How can i do this?
Should I go on and fill in another DS 160 form.
Won't it affect my interview with the VO.

PLEASE family i was denied Canadian visit visa last year September with a 5 years ban due misrepresentation caused by an agent. i applied for south Korean study visa for masters program by myself and got it. now i am in south Korea and my brother in-law wants to invite me to USA for 13 days vacation in july this during holidays. i actually wish to visit and come back to Korea. my plan is to come to Nigeria in December 2018 so i can visit any country with my family in December 2018 before we can apply for family visa in 2019. what are my chances considering the 5 years ban from Canada please advise me. thank you in anticipation.

Unless you have a genuine reason to be back, i'd say wait at least a year. If your only reason is just visiting and you are going back so soon, they may view you as having immigrant intent. They may think you won't come back. Simple reason is because this is a pattern that they have seen over and over from people who test the waters, go back to their countries to sell assets/say final goodbyes etc and then immigrate. Just a thought.

Most times people see certain questions and ignore it because you can get the answers by yourself.
Check the US embassy for criteria for expedited appointment. Does the purpose of visit qualify? If yes then you have your answer. If no, then you ask your agent how he's getting it. You are paying him. They means you can ask him barrages of questions

Guys, one advice i'll want you all to take is the "do not lie factor". Just say things as they are and just answer the questions honestly and leave the rest to them. During my last interview there was a lady standing in front of me. Very smart looking and formally dressed . Her story was flowing well till the lies became glaring. Find the bits of what I can recall:

VO: Pass me your passport
Lady:okay
VO: Why are you going to the US
Lady: I'm going to spend my vacation
VO: Where in the US
Lady: Orlando, FLorida
VO: What do you do ?
LAdy: I work at Fidelity bank ...........
VO: Tell me more about what you do for Fidelity Bank
Lady: (She describes her job role/ day-day activity which was very sweet) She had the fidelity scarf on her neck
VO: Are you travelling alone?
LAdy: NO. I'm travelling with my fiancee
VO: Does your fiancee already have a visa
Lady: Yes he does
VO: Do you have a copy of the visa with you ?
Lady: Yes (she passes a photocopy of the fiancee's visa to the visa officer)
VO: When did you get engaged
LAdy: 8 months ago
VO: Your fiancee applied for his visa in February this year and he mentioned that he was travelling alone
Lady: she stammers and said the fiancee changed plans
VO: Your visa is not approved under section bla bla bla. He hands back her passport and a blue paper to her which I believe states the reason for denial.


She would have just been straight that way the VO would not have had any reason to suspect any foul play. I went there with the "whatever" attitude and didnt in any way make up stories. It was up to them to either issue me or not issue me

How do I cancel previous date to choose the closer date please I could see cancel and reschedule but doesn't want to cancel previous one and not getting closer date please can you explain how to go about it ?

I truly failed to see the lie in this case.
She may have decided to join the fiance or just as she said the fiancee may have changed the plans.
All I see here is a close-minded VO.

The VO knew nothing about them and remember by law fiancées are not recognised . He probably thought she just got someone’s visa page and present . I’m also not a fan of using someone’s profile to strengthen my application because I feel like I may not know a lot about the person or his/her circumstances.

And that particular VO laid emphasis on travel history as he asked all interviewees about there travel history.

These VO’s go through the DS160 entries made on their screen and many times make a decision based on that.
