Joel was brave in the friendlies, everyone was insulting his performance because he did not play like the am they were expecting, I sorry for una the guy nah box to box midfielder, if your waiting for fabregas think again. His positioning, interception, tackling and passing was decent in the friendlies he played to his strength! Which makes me happy because finally we have a fast box midfielder who can intercept a ball and control a ball properly without losing it in duels. I already have a destroyer in Ndidi I need a midfield pivot who can pass, hold, dictate play from deep and also contribute to attacking play with fast dashing runs forward obi Joel ticks the box perfectly. Ndidi Joel mikel my world cup 3man midfield

What can iniesta do that naby cannot? rakitic atleast I would say can push attack very well and give a decent Defensive output, with iniesta I know I have a body short defensively in midfield. With naby I will get goals assist and top class defensive output.

Barcelona's iniesta is not used for defensive reasons so I don't even see why some of you think Naby should take his place. Anyways Barcelona have the kind of players they go for an if they think Naby is the future, fine. But for now, he's not on their radar. Barcelona already got a replacement for Busquet and Couthiho is the replacement for iniesta so where would Naby be placed?

Under guardiola he less conserned with the defensive side of the game but even then iniesta of young used to put in a decent defensive game but now under different coaches he has been given defensive responsibility he had been a affordable luxury for Barca in his older years, he's lost his speed. Well I think Barcelona have paid more than enough for defensive negligence with a wonderful performance against Roma where they got beaten for a failure to be compact at the back.
And I believe you know football is more than the predictions of who and who is to replace a player because you don't say you have a replacement until he has replaced the person perfectly in that same role, although I see similarities in the way they hold the ball iniesta and coutinho are different kind of midfielders, I'm not convinced he was bought has his heir.

It doesn't mean either of them will solve the issue. let's not have high expectations at all. But with the situation of things, we have to do all we can.
Enyeama MAY end up doing a France 98 Rufai on us. Aiyenugba MAY not meet up to the standard we are looking for. we can't get what we don't have, so let's try ALL the possibilities anyway..

I still support Uzoho but i think it is too early for him. In one or two years, he'd be ready.

Enyeama has always been my first choice and i have always been open to an invitation for Aiyenugba.

I watched Aiyenugba this weekend, I think he can help the current situation.

Pardon me, I'm just surprised it took you this long to realize Uzoho isn't ready. Hopefully this epiphany hits the technical crew before it's too late.

Some of us have canvassed for Aiyenugba's call since last year. That's the reason I welcomed a new member to the team Aiyenugba.

True..

The difference between Enyeama and Rufai is that Enyeama is still training (and has played a few games). Rufai was on vacation and out of shape before he was called for France 98.

Enyeama should bury whatever problem he has with the NFF guys.

Monaco Unable To Meet Gent's Asking Price For Nigeria's Most Promising Young Talent
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that French Ligue 1 side Monaco have not been successful in their attempt to sign KAA Gent winger Samuel Kalu.

The Principality side, whose sporting director is former Nigeria international Michael Emenalo, backed out of the deal after they were quoted a fee of fifteen million euros for the youngster.

It is understood that Gent are willing to allow another Nigerian winger in Moses Simon depart the club this summer but they informed Monaco that Kalu was not for sale at the start of negotiations and they will demand an astronomical fee if they have a change of heart.

Monaco's first bid for Kalu was for a paltry six million euros but that amount was deemed insufficient by the former Belgian First Division A champions.

The 20-year-old is having an outstanding season, scoring 6 goals in 24 appearances during the regular season while registering 7 assists.

He was named among the top fifty most promising prospects in Europe by CIES Football Observatory, the only player of Nigerian descent that made the prestigious list.
