and usually after the annual negotiations culture for better welfare this happens......

Not necessary, Nigeria do not need to own a National carrier, they only need to create a stable and comfortable environment for Nigeria indigenous Airlines to strive and make all foreign countries accord them the reciprocal treatment we given their National Airlines.

US does not have a National carrier and UK does not either.

boarded Kenya airways from Lagos to Dubai last week....gosh !their Nigerian workers are just too ride and uncouth......u could see how polite and friendly their Kenyan workers were when I transited at nairobi

it will only take you a great grace of professionalism to work there smiling...
here in Lagos, work conditions differs BTW Nigerian employees and Kenyans....

well thats a point also, you know its hard for anything to work well in Nigeria, i just wished our airline comes back to life, if our economy becomes stronger and better and the naira gets powerful i believe things will shape out well.

believe me if we had Nigerian airways many of the foreign airlines will not have a seat here in Nigeria. if Nigeria can get things right we will lead Africa and the world.

Erm... for every flight we have to a country on our carriers, there's a corresponding flight from their country to ours on their carrier. You also need ground staff at each foreign location, so the existence of Nigeria airways will not influence things. Going from Gov't records, they'll end up hanging on to a lot of incompetent and surly staff (who you might need to bribe for window seats or some nonsense), instead of firing and hiring the best.

National flag carriers have long been inefficient money losing organizations, and governments have been divesting (British Air privatized in 1987, as did Japan Airlines). America has no government national carrier. We don't need another excuse for looting, and I just wish Arik and Peace would get their act together and really rule the skies with good service.

Kenya is a functioning country despite all the weirdness that comes out of there. This country not so much . Even the Seychelles Africa’s smallest nation has a national airline.

They didn't go to Kenya ,the staffs r working here in Nigeria.Did you not read the part where the country manager was retained?

Ignorance is a stupid disease.
So because you hear Kenya, you think they work in Kenya.
A little education, all international airlines have offices and employ local staff in countries where they ply.

Kenya airlines sacked staff in its Nigerian office because of some disagreement with the local trade unions.
