PRESS RELEASE

TROOPS KILL 7 BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN MULTIPLE AMBUSHES

Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole conducting blocking and clearance operations to track down and neutralise Boko Haram insurgents fleeing from the Sambisa forest have killed 7 Boko Haram insurgents yesterday Friday 13 April 2018, in multiple ambushes sprung against the fleeing insurgents by the gallant troops.

The troops, yesterday successfully sprung an ambush against pocket of Boko Haram insurgents who had escaped troops' onslaught in the Sambisa region, The insurgents who were escaping through Kusheri Ardodam along Magumeri in Borno State were engaged by troops, who killed 2 of the insurgents. The troops also recovered 2 AK 47 rifles, 3 Magazines and 18 rounds of 7.62 mm NATO type ammunition.

In a related operation, troops have also successfully staged an ambush against fleeing elements of the Boko Haram terrorists group along a remote track in Mafa, neutralising 2 insurgents and recovering one AK 47 rifle, 2 magazines and one bicycle.

Troops also successfully ambushed the fleeing insurgents in the general area of Multe Lawanti, South of Furfur in Damboa, Borno state. During the ambush, troops killed 3 Boko Haram insurgents and recovered one AK 47 rifle , 3 motorcycles, 2 bicycles, spanners and clothings.

In a sting operation, vigilant troops of Operation Lafiya Dole yesterday arrested a member of the Boko Haram terrorists group while transiting along Cross Kauwa in the northern region of Borno State. Modu Chari, was on an espionage mission when he was nabbed by troops. Further investigations reveal that Modu is an active member of the El Barnawi faction of the Boko Haram terrorists group.

The ferocity of the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations to rid the North East of Boko Haram hideouts and enclaves has further suffocated the terrorists group, hence its resort to suicide attacks on innocent civilians.

It is crucial therefore to draw the attention of the general public to the terrorists' callous resort to the use of diverse types of Improvised Explosive Devices to attack vulnerable civilians in their bid to instill fear and awe amongst the populace in order to remain relevant.

Members of the general public are therefore urged to be alert and vigilant as they carry on with their daily activities in their communities and business places, in order to discern strange faces as well as suspicious movements and activities and report same to appropriate security agencies.

Please disseminate this information to the general public through your news medium.

Thank you for your cooperation.

The 2nd version is quite pretty
what do you think of the extra tyre's position
The first prototype had the spare tire in that same position, apparently they need to change that because that’s a bad spot for a spare tire, Could get damaged if they drive over an IED.

Someone pointed this out in the other thread

#HappeningNow. @CAS_AMSadique plays host to senior Liberian Government officials at the Winging Ceremony of more newly trained @NigAirForce pilots as well as pioneer pilots of the Liberian Armed Forces, who just completed flying training in #Nigeria.

NAF winged 12 pilots and 2 Liberian pilots, 14 in total.

What is NA up to.

Research and development conference 2018
WTH, that is way too large now. They could get smaller CCTV cameras without compromising quality.

I noticed they are mounting cameras on most NA assets lately.

In my personal opinion the advantage would have far better if it was placed much higher.

Nigerian Air Force acquires 6 new helicopters for first time in 18 years

Molly Kilete, Abuja

The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakr, says that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has acquired six brand new helicopters to add to its fleet for the first time in 18 years.

Abubakar said that 73 pilots currently undergoing flight training in different parts of the world are expected to graduate before the end of the year.

He noted the NAFs contribution in boosting counterinsurgency operations in the northeast and other internal security measures across the country.

The Air Marshal made this known in an interview with newsmen shortly after winging 12 new pilots, along with two of their Liberian counterparts, who have just concluded training in Kaduna, Kaduna State and Ilorin, Kwara State.

He explained that following the purchase of the helicopters, the NAF has embarked on training more of its personnel as pilots in various countries, including the United States of America, Morocco and Jordan, adding that before the end of the year, pilot trainees among, which is the first Nigerian Air Force female pilot, would graduate from the schools.

According to him, “In acquiring the number of platforms in the Air Force, we have to train the pilots.

“This is the first time in about 18 years that we are acquiring 6 brand new helicopters for the Air Force.

“This is quite significant in the sense that we are building capacity and making sure that we have the right number of qualified staff that will man these helicopters that have been acquired.

“Human capacity is the most important .You can have all the aircraft but if you don’t have people who are trained to fly the aircraft, you will still not get anything,” he explained.

“Now that the government is acquiring more platforms for us, and we already have pilots. This is the second time that we are winging pilots this year and this shows that we are thinking ahead of what the government is providing for us, and I think it is really impacting positively.”

I was going to point it out that was why I saved the pic but something came up and I forgot to do so.

BTW, I combed through the pic and I couldn't find any computer device that could give real-time display of whatever that CCTV is capturing maybe it is just for recording only sha.

I just hope it doesn't suck out the whole juice out of that vehicle's battery. Hope they made a special provision for that otherwise a Go-Pro camera would do just fine

It looks like a led based camera so no worries regarding draining out battery.

I will prefer a PTZ camera at the least and mounted higher up .

Residents of Gbeji, Tse Akaanya and Tse Hiityo where Fulani herdsmen invaded last week Wednesday and Thursday, killed more than 50 people and destroyed properties worth millions of naira have accused the Nigerian Army of colluding and leading the Fulani militias to attack their villages.

Narrating their ordeal before the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Prof. Tersoo Kpelai who took a team of journalists to the communities to asses the level of destruction and commiserate with the families, Mr. Sunday Kulegwa and Iortaver Idye (the most elderly person in Gbeji town) all pointed accusing fingers on the army noting that army personnel using official vehicles were not only spotted on the scene of the attacks with the invaders but also participated in the shooting and killing of innocent people.

Similarly, in Tse Akaanya and Tse Hiityo all in Lumbuv council ward, Hon. Timothy Iorfa, Councilor representing Lumbuv ward, Austin Damsa and Terkaa Agera who witnessed the attack maintained that, men of the Nigerian Army in their personnel carriers and other army utility vehicles mounted with launchers and other sophisticated weapons were seeing shooting and killing people why the Fulani militias followed the troops burning houses and carting away with other valuables.

Reacting, Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Prof. Tersoo Kpelai condoles the family of the deceased saying it is worrisome that innocent people are attacked and killed in their ancestral homes without any slightest provocation and promised to liaise with the appropriate authorities to investigate allegations of military involvement in the attacks.

Prof. Kpelai also assured the communities that he will meet with the Executive Secretary, Benue State Emergency Management Agency to discus the way forward and see if Government will come to the aide of the displaced.

I very much doubt the US made AH1 W Super Cobra . The reports states that they are BRAND NEW Attack HELICOPTERS.
Nigerian Pilots have been operating the following :
Augusta Westland
BELL
HC Eurocopter 145
MI24/ 35P
MI35M
Look to the MI -35 M (6) of them.
highly unlikely the Americans including 45 would simply sell them to us without strings attached.

A minimum of 47 people are murdered daily in the USA, what's your point? Show me a country where people aren't murdered.
Dude, we all know things aren't the way they are supposed to be, but this constant ranting won't help matters.
Take a pill.
