in Law, they measure the action and the reaction to judge if the reaction was right

For instance, if I slap you and you decide to stab me with a sharp object, you have overreacted and the law will not be lenient toward you, especially if we have no prior history of an altercation.

Calling someone's late mother a prostitute in retaliation for "Is your brain paining you?" Or "dip your head in a freezer to cool it" is an overreaction.

When you wan begin bite person for ballz so that im go feel pain, it becomes cowardly. Safari na my friend. Even if na she fyn trouble, I go still support her. Na so my bias reach.

So everybody is now subscribing to Enyeama's channel? That's a welcome development sha.

But on the contrary, I don't know why this other side of the issue should even be an argument. Zidane came back and he was given the armband and nothing happened, except the fact that they got to the final and lost on penalties. I am sure Mikel was the one who rejected the idea of becoming an assistant to Musa because he understands a thing or two about seniority so why shouldn't he be humble enough to step down?

I don't want to get involved but I remember running into something similar with with the andrew guy. I remember I insulted him first and every moniker was on my tail the very next second and of course I duly apologised(heck I was even planning to apologise even if nobody cautioned me). Then in this case he was insulted first and nobody, I mean nobody(except Mujtahida, problem is that he is too good sometimes that most people think he is just feigning righteousness), that I believe was also a huge factor in this issue. When I had a go at him and people came for my head(I can remember bascon and theGoodJoe specifically) he never replied with an insult, I have forgotten what he told me but it was about him expecting a cordial relationship with me going forward, but in this case nobody cautioned his opposite and he let fly from range which, knowing fully well who he is, was meant to fall in a region well below the belt.

I do not care what people say but if we start a tradition we should maintain it, if the person who insulted him was duly cautioned as I was then I am not sure it would have gotten thus far. Thank you

Naming a captain depends on coach not a player. If Rohr says it's Enyeama fine and if he says remain Mikel no issue but one thing is certain the coming back of Enyeama has nothing to do with captain band.

Keshi came back in 1987 under coach Paul Hamilton and captain by Andrew Uwe.The same Keshi was named captain by Onigbinde at afcon 84 despite the presence of Muda Lawal and Henry Nwosu.

Mikel rejection of vice to Musa during Oliseh as a coach was to just to show loyalty to Enyeama and to douse already heated tension and Siasia naming Mikel was his decision not about seniority.

When Rohr came he said Mikel remain the captain and if he feel otherwise nobody will challenge him but i don't think Rohr will name Enyeama captain when Mikel is available.

Safarigirl,I would never b biased towards u,infact let d whole thread knw,am one of ur biggest fan here cos its rare for one to c a LADY who will b so top notch concerning football issue

Like u av rightly said in ur post,we re saying d same THING,ANDREW444 OVER REACTED to ur statement...."is ur brain paining u' and "deep ur head in freezer"
This statements u mentioned above are not complimentary words, dey re insultive,U CAN direct dis words to me,and I laf it off, because of my own person,I dont take things too serious if u notice me, sir chriskels,TheSupernerd do call me mumu at times on dis thread and I find it funny,

But d statement u altered to ANDREW444 WAS AN INSULT AND UNFORTUNATELY, u directed those words to a WRONG PERSON,whose ego was bruised and doesn't take nonsense. We re different ppu from different background.this won't b ur first time, some will let it pass, some won't.

The fact remains dt if u had kept quite wout uttering those words,"is ur brain paining u" or "dip ur head inside freezer" to him,he wouldn't av lay insult or derogatory statement to u and ur parents.its as simple as dt.

So u only did it to d wrong person, and u got served in a very harsh way...wc everybody has rebuked his actions for going below d belt.

I will still.remain on my stance, at 1ST ANDREW444 WASNT AT FAULT because he didn't initiate d insult, maybe because he was been aggressive with his tone while trying to make his point during d argument with u,wc u don't like,it doesn't mean u av d impunity to cross d line to ABUSE HIM FIRST,u could av followed mutahilda advice when he said u shld ignore him, because he knws u could do and undo at d heat of any argument, but u didn't, and u went ahead to draw d 1st blood and it resulted to what u don't like.

Let's forget about this safarigirl and move on cool

if you read the comment that started the argument, the initial offender said she'd be ready to drag his ancestors into the insult if need be. How come nobody made mention of that one? Is that not below the belt too? Both played foul and both should be cautioned. But that one concern them my bro.

Sia1 named Mikel because Musa stepped down and Mikel was the oldest. Thank God you know why Mikel rejected that vice position, not just because of Enyeama's loyalty alone but also because he felt as the oldest he should be getting the armband, same reason was sited for Emenike's retirement.

On a side note though, players contracts are usually not straight, some contracts have terms like 'I must play up to 70% of the available minutes' etc etc. If adding the captain's armband will entice Enyeama then it shouldn't even be an argument, by all means. Besides Pirlo never got to be the captain of Italy, does not make him any less than he is

This one that's we are discussing Captain or no Captain, has Rohr or anyone from the NFF hinted anything concerning Enyeama?

Let's wait for the call up first before talking about captainship or not.

Or what do you think?

The 3 names (veterans) listed so far haven't gotten any unofficial/official callup for those in charge.

You first agree to the terms of a contract before you can start working. The captaincy is something that has to be defined before a call up letter is issued

From reading tribal e-war posts to insultive ones.... Nawa for this thread...

But on a serious note,we should be mindful of our language here... if u must argue with somebody,do it maturely.. don't change lanes by insulting them.. And if u feel this argument is going the wrong way, just end it... Not everybody on the internet have the ability to hold their tempers when the slightest insults are thrown at them.. Andrew was very wrong to have stooped so low to insult her parents..it's inhumane and childish too.. but the insult from safari triggered it... Words, no matter how small can be very powerful oo... Some of the major conflicts in the world today started due to some small issues...

Both parties should pls make peace with themselves and move on...

Good morning..

And Madam/Sir Mbjane plssss stop dragging this issue. It is enough. It is like you have a beef with Safarigirl or something. I just don't know. But your comments is screaming for something to be done to Safarigirl. Not hard to see through it...

You already admitted that you like Sir Andrew a lot shaa... For his top notch analyses. So I understand. He is one of your favorites here. I understand why his ban hurts. But please... Sir Andrew will be back. I was not even expecting him to get a ban.... I thought we would all just move on. His ban came to me as a surprise but then I understood why he had to be banned.

I wish the mods can have it overturned because he is one of our fine contributors here. Honestly. But it is fine. Sir Andrew444, listen... I saw your alt... Plssss and plsss.. This is from me. Just take your time okay.... I am sure NLSports is the least of your priorities.. But plsss come back whenever you feel like... You are always welcome okay. Please I do enjoy your views too and analyses. Thank you man. Godbless.

Now to the issue one last time...

I came in here and I addressed the issue without favors and even Sir Andrew himself admitted that I said it all... I said the truth. I POINTED OUT THAT HE DIDNT INSULT SAFARIGIRL BUT ONLY USED "madam-Nothing-special-about-EPL" as a slight jab to describe her stance on not rating the EPL/English teams that much. And I said it was no insult but just harmless jab. Safarigirl gave the first blows to his person and ego.... I already said that. But he also could have given same blows and not brought in people who had nothing to do with it like her father and late mother.
Gosh! Even after he found out that her mother was late... He kept at it!
Ofcos he insisted he would still feel comfortable insulting her parents and her whole family but I kept silent. And he did keep to his words... He said a couple more hateful stuffs about them even after hearing the mother is no more. I left the matter because I have said what I needed to say. So can we all drop this issue?

That was unlike him. Sir Andrew is a good guy. I just think he lost it. He crossed the line and broke the rules of engagement on this thread.
Insult a moniker all you want but plsss never bring in their parents or family. That is seriously crossing the line.

I don't encourage insults... But it is inevitable people will lose their cool sometimes (I have even caught Elder Sir Kog45 going kinda rogue on one boxing thread... grin.. Hey Uncle Kog.. I swear I only saw a part... grin lipsrsealed ).
Disagreements can flare up, a few personal attacks out of nowhere can be made and we react (I know coz I have been at the end of such attacks from nowhere. Some people just won't like you no matter what) and a few punches may fly but then we are back again as a family. Coz that is what we do as a family. We fight but we come back... I cannot dictate how anyone uses words here but I can at least point out and appeal to our matured senses to know which lines not to cross.

On this issue I will just add...

A tackle that earns a yellow card is nothing like a bruising tackle or dangerous headbutt that earns a red card or even a career-threatening assault that earn a serious ban/suspension.

It is nauseating. It is 100 shades of wrong to insult people's parents... Period!

Please and please.... No more on this. Mbjane... Please. No more I plead.

So pardon me but I had to address that once and for all...... You really have something going against Safarigirl and it has nothing to do with that issue between her and Sir Andrew (my guess is that you have seen her in many other brawls and have this fixed opinion of her... And honestly I don't blame you. It is human sometimes to be like that)..... and obviously Sir Andrew is one of your favorites here. Now that it is established. so because someone insults you...will make you go so low to insult such person parents....
please stop taking side...same thing you accusing some regulars here of doing...

many a time i aviod go far arguing wit Andrew because of his temperament...
him too .....like safari needs to work on his temperament and avoid draging in their emotions when talking football.....

the most shameful thing I have ever done was to exchange word wit a woman...that's the paramount reason why some man beat their wives...which is very wrong...
women express their emotions wit their words...and if you should go wit what they say...it will bring out the beast in you...

May God keep blessing you.

This is precisely how I feel about safarigirl. She is in a man's World on this thread and any disagreement against her ideas looks to her like it is because she is a woman, that is why people disagree with her. She lets her emotions take over to drive her point. I have learnt to understand it and take it easy on her. I also take time to explain my point when I disagree with her.

It is baffling men will want to go into verbal sparring with her. Let us learn to tolerate each other.

Safari i've had a couple bout with u in the past but one thing I like about you is that you always wake up to a new day. Even the Bible says we should not let the sun set and find us still angry. Even God has been described to be angry sometimes, but we all are aware of His love and graciiousness. There is time for every emotion, but as far as anger is concerned, I am confident you will wake up to a new day and you will not hold a grudge -- and that's if i'm not wrong. For me, that's the most important thing.

As regards the plea for apologies, I don't ask people to apologize, because with apologies, it has to come from the heart. so when the temper has died down, think over everything and reflect on the things you would have said or done differently. If you are going to apologize, let it come form your heart. And this also applies to Andrew. I'm not even going to go into who is right or wrong. Even the "right" person can apologize, it would make the "wrong" person uncomfortable, or let me rather say it would soften the heart of the "wrong" person to do the same.

safarigirl:
you know who I've been praying to be like recently?

I don't know if you are familiar with Big Brother, but there is a housemate there, Miracle, he has one of the best reactions to provocation. He never loses his cool

The ability to be calm in the face of hostility is alien to me. I have never been able to do that, I flare up, I attack, I use harsh words, I make a big tantrum even. That is who I am as a person, I attack at the slightest show of hostility because, funny enough, I have continually been disregarded, unappreciated and overlooked in this life. So, that attack is my defense

I always say here that anger is a draining feeling, I know because it is a feeling I am very familiar with. Some months ago I advised Supernerd to choose his battles, did I not? Now, look at you giving me that advise

Nobody is saying anything I am not familiar with or would not tell someone else, but like I always tell a friend of mine, I am very good at giving other people good advice, I just haven't learnt to take my advice

I try everyday to work on my temper. It is not a trait I am particularly proud of, but you cannot shed all of you at a go, can you?

Like I said, I will not apologise to Andrew, he crossed the line insulting my late mother and by extension, relinquished whatever rights he had to an apology. I have apologised to people I crossed a line with, difficult as it may be for me, but him? Not in this life or the next.

Good night
