[Ask whoever gave you the information how much he/she paid for the land he/she built on. The land is given free and the law is very clear about land ownership.
Besides, the property in question is properly valued and adequate compensation is given.

I think there's some elements of truth in what this Pastor is saying. I have heard about what that man said about RCCG running the church as a franchise business enterprise.

When Freeze raised the issue of tithing and RCCG, Pastor Adeboye's son came out to tweet that there was more income and profit as a result of Freeze's issues.

Also, this same RCCG forbade downloading and photocopying Open Heaven devotionals for personal use, insisting that it must be bought from the Church.

Honestly, the focus of the Church in Nigeria has shifted and the earlier we find God for ourselves the better.

There are few questions to ask the man:

1. How long was he pastor in RCCG?
2. Since he said the pastors own their parishes, how much did he make while he was there?
3. Since he said the 20-30% returns on tithe is meant for the pastors who own the parishes, how were they running the parishes in terms of recurrent expenses?

The pastor needs to come out with whole truth instead of concealing some information to deceive the unsuspecting public.

Not up till now, people are beginning to learn the true color of Enoch Adeboye and his church, Redeemed Christain Church of God, RCCG. All thanks to OAP Daddy Freeze for opening the eyes of many Nigerians to the antics of this very untouchable pastors and GOs. Adeboye trended in bad light on social media few days ago as a video surfaced on net were he was advising his pastors to tell their congregation that if they don't pay tithes, they will not make heaven.

However, A former pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God has resigned from the popular church and has granted interviews to celebrate his "freedom" and "expose" the things he says goes on in the church.

The Pastor, identified simply as pastor Wellington, went on air to accuse the church of being a franchise that makes money from members by putting fear in them and laying curses on them. He added that pastors are aware of this but are afraid to leave because the church has tied their properties to their membership and if they leave, they will lose everything.

Pastor Wellington called the prestigious RCCG a "Tower of Babel" and said, "it will take only God to pull down that Tower of Babel."

When he was informed that his video announcing his resignation had gone viral, Pastor Wellington said: .

"It is the Lord's doing and it's wonderful in our sight. Let it continue, let everybody hear it. I won't hide my own identity. Other pastors in the Redeemed can continue to hide their own identity. I am free. That is the demonstration of my freedom."

"So let the whole world hear what is happening within the RCCG. And I believe my testimony will be a good one, I mean, a help to all others that are in the system.

He went ahead to claim that the leader of the church was placing pastors under curses.

He said:

"I thank God that the word that I made mention of that they were putting us under curse has been confirmed through the video that you have been playing since Monday. And that even if one paid his tithe, he's still under curse."

Pastor Wellington also spoke about the different ways the church gets its income from members by collecting unending offerings and donations under different names.

He claimed that the African mission offering, which must be donated every first Sunday of each month, "goes directly to the pocket of pastor Foluke Adeboye, the wife of Adeboye."

He also claimed that RCCG is a franchise system of operation, where each parish belongs to each pastor and the pastors of each branch are expected to pay 70-75 per cent of their income to the headquarters of the church while they take the remaining for themselves. In order word, the church is loaning their brand to them in return for members' money

"You are to run with the parish. Just give them their own portion. They're borrowing you the logo and they're borrowing you their members," he claimed.

He added:

"That already has made many pastors to go into stealing because the 30 and 20 per cent that remains is not enough for them. So they have to lie, they have to cheat. They will do different kinds of things."

He also alleged that pastors of RCCG have bought lands in Redemption camp using money made from their church. But if they dare leave the Redeemed Christian Church of God, they will lose all their properties in Redemption camp. He added that as a result of this, many pastors are aware of what goes on in the church but their hands are tied and they cannot come out for fear of losing all they have.

He said:

"So what I did by leaving Redeemed Christian Church of God, many pastors in the Redeemed will not be able to do it. Many presently are hearing what you are saying but they cannot come out, because if they dare come out, they will lose everything that they've invested in the same system for many many years.

"So Redeemed is a Tower of Babel."

If someone buys a land in Redemption Camp and builds on it, if that person dies and none of his children attends RCCG, such property automatically belongs to the Church.

The story doesn't have a strong source. Although I'm a Muslim but this story is more like a defaming story hence can't be trusted.

Ex-RCCG Pastor Wellington is free to resign from pastoring a parish.

I also agree with getting money from members under different guises after collecting tithes and offerings which makes one wonder what they really do with the tithes and offerings.

Each parish also has to remit about 70% of their monthly income to the national while the pastors run the church with 30% and have to account for it.

I also have reservations about the weekly feeding because most parishes struggle to survive on the 30% and feeding the members would increase the burden on the pastors who would be forced to shift the cost back to the members (workers and ministers) they are feeding.

However, I have not heard a parish pastor having the money to himself or been loaned the logo or members of the church. The pastors account for the last farthing they spend and some have to use their personal funds to run the church. Neither have I heard that properties bought in RCCG camp are confiscated after a pastor resigns.

Tithe or anything related to money is the least to be laying emphasis on in the church. The theme tithe is very subjective. God blessed Abraham first before giving God 10%.

You will never see Daddy freeze attacking pastors like Lazarous Maoka of Lord Chosen and Pastor Kumuyi of Deeprlife because the 2 pastors centered their preaching on salvation, santification, holliness, second coming of Christ, great tribulation etc. They hardly talk about tithe but how do you feel when you've never wear a Givenchy but your pastors children are and you know vividly that some portion of your tithe is being used to fund their lifestyle.

My friend, stop defending those who don't care about you. It's all a pot of soup for the leadership.

See his son giving an insight into how their leaders consider the membership and church. It's a business enterprise and you members are merely cows to be milked.

Properties acquired in Redemption Camp can be lost in 3 ways:
A. The owner is a Pastor and he resigns and quits RCCG.
B. The owner is a registered member and he leaves RCCG.
C. The owners dies and none of his children attends RCCG. The property automatically belongs to RCCG.

As for the logo and name, the model is a franchise model. The HQ contributes nothing when the local parish is being set up but when the local parish collects tithes and offerings, 70% goes to the HQ.

The only thing contributed by the HQ is the authority to use the RCCG logo and name to operate the local parish and collect offerings from members.

Its not by force 'to tithe' or 'not to tithe'. There is freedom of belief.
