We just seriously with security in Nigeria. A suspended Senator just walked into the Senate chambers to seize the maze and he calmly strolled back, even with all the security men stationed around the complex. What if it was a suicide bomber that strolled into the chamber??

Was that enough reason for them to allow him walk into the hallowed chamber with hoodlums, what if he was in on a suicide mission?

Now I understand. The truth is most of these officers are unable to discharge their duty due to political reasons except there's an order from above.

For example, officers attached to the Rivers state governor were sacked for shooting when the governor came under an attack.

And if you have any shred of decency or common sense, you'd realize that i never made comparison to herdsmen killings.
You said " People are killed almost everyday in Nigeria yet we have a military and police"

That was what i responded to. Show me a freaking country where people aren't killed everyday, your comment that i quoted was never about herdsmen.
Like i said, take a chill pill, and if you hate your country this much, how about you renounce your citizenship and move? North Korea could use ya.
Now I'm done. Stop spewing your rubbish here every chance you get, it's tiring. Better yet if you want to effect change, become a journalist, make that sacrifice, expose the corruption and inefficiency in the country, instead of barking like a mad dog

Nigeria's Senate seeks explanation of $462 million to buy helicopters

Nigeria’s upper chamber of parliament on Tuesday said it would invite the central bank governor and the ministers of finance and defence to explain the release of $462 million to buy helicopters, a lawmaker said.

Senator Sam Anyanwu said the money was withdrawn from the federal account in March without the approval of lawmakers.
According to Anyanwu, “I have it on good authority that in March, 2018, from the Federation Account, a sum of 462 million dollars was withdrawn and paid for helicopters to an American firm.

“This is without the approval of the National Assembly. I know that at no time was there any request from this Senate for any such withdrawal from the Consolidated Revenue Account of the federation.

“I will suggest we invite the CBN Governor, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Defence to tell us how this money was withdrawn and paid into an American company without the approval of the Senate,” he said.

On Monday the Chief of Air Staff of the Nigerian Air Force said the Nigerian Air Force was inducting six new helicopters into service, with more on the way.

The Senate yesterday summoned the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele; the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun; and the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali to explain the alleged withdrawal of $462 million from the Federation Account for the purchase of two American helicopters without Senate approval.

Anyanwu said the money was paid to an American firm named Helicopter Techno Flight Helicopters

No it can’t be, the 1Bili was approved, apparently this wasn’t.

“Toby Okechukwu brought up the matter while contributing to a motion calling on the federal government to ensure the safe rescue of the Chibok girls and the remaining Dapchi girl.
He said the alleged withdrawal of the amount and the procurement of the military hardware was illegal.
He said the amount was equivalent to N165bn, and that it did not include the $1bn reportedly approved by President Muhammadu Buhari for military expenditure”
