I greet the house..
I really need advise....oooo
I was refused visa with a community college summer 2018, I had to defer the admission.
I posted my transcript here:
The vo ask this questions according towards the end of the interview..
-do you write any standardize test
-have you travel before
-are you married
And the answer to the above questions NO

I had to defer the admission to fall 2018 and to a university, and also taking Sat and toefl,I received my i-20 already and I have successful transfer my Sevis fee to the new i-20.
My questions now is that
1. We have to fill you new ds160?
If YES.
After filling it will I link it to the old one?

2. What will be the best answer to write in as reason for my first delay? Need this badly

Thanks

All your details for the previous interview are still with them and they will revisit it during your next interview. So while filling new Ds 160 form, try and streamline your answers.

Thanks for your respond..
The only change on my new ds160 is the school from CC to UNI, every other things are the same

What will be the best answer to past as a reason for my first delay?

You are in ISU? Wow, nice, what dept/program? Nice to know...

We are actually in the same school if I am not mistaken.

I said that to say, if you use Uber or Lyft often one day you will run into a driver who schooled in MIT and did his MBA in HBS. He does not live around Ames but sometimes rides can bring a driver to that community.

Or you can ask around in your circles to see if anyone else has met him. When you do, please be kind enough to comeback and say it here. It will go along way in corroborating a story I shared here weeks back.

He is an American citizen not even an F1 dependent immigrant.

I laugh when I see people speak so authoritatively on issues they have no clues about.

Undergraduate takes anything from couple of days to one week after submitting ur application and paying ur application fee.
So it means u should be expecting admission decision within one to two weeks of submitting ur application, uploading ur documents and paying for the application fee. That of my cousin only took 3 days to receive admission decision.

Thank you for applying to Food Science and Hospitality program at University of Missouri. I am a new faculty member and currently recruiting members to my research group focusing on "Sustainable Food Engineering".
To proceed further with your application, I would like to interview you.
The interviews are planned to schedule this week, please let me know the convenient means to contact you. The interviews can be scheduled either in person, phone or over zoom / skype.

Please reply to acknowledge the receipt of this email, so we can schedule your interview.

That's something positive. For the Zoom/Skype interview, check the Professor's recent research papers and his or her profile on either his/her past school's website or Linkedlin. He or she won't ask anything extremely technical. Just check out the methods and research tools he has used to conduct research. He or she will most likely be asking you questions to see if you are a conversant with all you will need to work with him/her. You should be fine. Put in your best in the interview as he/she will also be interviewing others and trying to pick the very best. He or she will be keen to find out if you're a good fit for his/her research group.
Possible questions

1) Introduce yourself. (You should speak more of your academic and related work experiences. Don't start singing about which school you attended and why you choose that school. Professors don't have time for that. Go straight to the point.)
2) What are your research experiences? (Talk about your lab experiences , thesis etc. Even your practicals in university counts. Study them and make out something from it.
3) Have you done any work on _______ ? ( He is already asking you something on his research interest. Go through his or her recent papers. Check the keywords , Study the abstract and conclusion. Then look at the methodology briefly. You should be fine.
4) Check out specific methods. It is very important.
5) He will ask questions based on your SOP and CV as I presume he already has your application. Study what you have written there.
6) Any questions? Ask questions at the end of the interview. For example, Ask him or her , the projects he would soon start to work on.Don't jump the gun and ask about funding. Ask about the direction of his research and so on.

From the e-mail, he is likely an assistant Professor , who just got a faculty position. Sometimes they are more difficult to please as they are just starting and they need to recruit the best to have a good start. I assume if he was an associate or full time Professor, he will most likely have moved his students from his former school or continue to supervisor them by proxy. Reply him ASAP and pick a time slot for the interview. I hope this helps. Cheers.

Hi guys ; 2.2 in quantity surveying isn't a great result to get admission for masters in project management or even get scholarships, in the US, I'm I not supposed to sit for exams like GRE or TOEFl to help boost my chances or should I apply before sitting for the exams. Plz I'm confused here I need urgent answer.
Secondly, can I still apply for 2019 fall admission? Considering the short period time remaining? Or should I patiently prepare for spring 2019?

Lastly, which exam do I take? GRE or TOEFL considering my course of study and school.
Thanks in advance

Is better you write those exam to know your score so that you know where to launch your net.

if you want Msc you write both GRE and TOEFL but check your school admission requirement to know which one they want.

Send me pm if you are interested in discounted GRE or TOEFL

To those who sent me PMs, I don't have access to that email anymore. I'll probably just create a new account.

How y'all doing?

Welcome party for you at Oriental Hotel or Eko Hotel and Suites

Hi guys
Can anyone suggest a low tuition Community college with less requirements?

I have two on my list but they both required that I evaluate my certificate, submit Health and Clinical care documents, including POF documents before admission is offered.

I would prefer schools that only need my

SAT
WAEC
HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT
SOP.

I would really appreciate any suggestion.

Thanks

Why dont you apply for a university and get full ride

Please bail me out friends,

Assuming I got to USA with a university admission say January 2019 for spring intake but I don't have enough fund to enrol. Can I apply to a cheap community college so I don't go out of status?
1. If I can , how fast must I apply to the community college?
2. Or is it advisable I include one or two CC's when I'm applying from Nigeria, get I-20 before entering the state ?
3. With the CC I-20 in my possession, can I simply ignore the university and go enrol at the CC?

Thanks in anticipation

Just make sure you apply for the CC and granted admission before you leave Nigeria because that will make your job smooth and easy
