edi287:oga, it is very true Kelechi racked up 6 goals and 7 assists at the U17 World Cup. That was how he won the Golden Ball... He was converted because of his poaching skills 1 Like |

Kog45: I wonder when the Iheanacho is not a dribbler became the point. Some said Iheanacho can not dribble. They have been proven wrong. I stated clearly that Iheanacho has the skills in his locker but does not rely on them. The point is too simple. Iheanancho is not a dribbler because he does not rely on his dribbling skills. That means he can dribble. The point is too simple. I was speaking against the idea that Iheanacho can not dribble. The simple answer is he can dribble. 1 Like |

Chrismario: I wonder what is bothering you here. My point is so so simple. Some said Iheanacho can not dribble. I said it is not true, he has the skills in his locker but he does not rely on it. What you are writing up there agrees with my point to some extent. Iheanacho is not a dribbler because he does not rely on his skills. Very simple point. By the way, no scorer scores always. Not even Lewandowski, Messi, CR7 or Suarez. That does not mean they are not scorers. Saying Iheanacho can not be considered a dribbler because he does not pull off dribbles always is not a right statement. Even Okocha did not pull off his skills always. Iheanacho can not be tagged a dribbler because he does not rely on his skills to cause damage. That does not mean Iheanacho can not dribble. If you believe Iheanacho can dribble and have skills in his locker, I wonder why you are quoting me. 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:That's why i said no need to argue it cos Iheanacho has passed that level. I had the opportunity of watching him live in UAE during U 17 WC and closely during their training at Rashidiya. I will not deceive you his pace is enough to delete opponents so he doesn't even need to drribble. Check him and Awoniyi critically at U 17 they outshone their opponents with high pressing pace. 1 Like |

asha80:Mikel's technical ability has never been in doubt to any Chelsea fan. The main criticism of him was his lack of mobility and safe passing. Mikel's first 2 seasons he was popping killer passes all over the place. There's no comparison or whatsoever. 1 Like |

edi287:some renowned playmakers didnt have so much mobility though(riquelme)..secondly at safe passing you dont think this started when he was pushed to that defensive postion?trying to play it safe because that wasnt his default role?how come we didnt really see this safe passing during his under20 era?i watched that u20 in netherlands well and i dont remember him engaging too much in safe passing |

asha80:How does that prove we didn't know Mikel was already a highly technical player? Like I've said - I've never seen any Chelsea fan that doubted Mikel's technical ability. You said me doubting Iheanacho dribbling and style of play was similar to Mahrez in his U17 days is like saying Mikel doesn't give defence splitting passes and I'm telling you there has been proof of Mikel's passing ability in his first 2 seasons. I haven't seen proof of Nacho's dribbling being similar to that of Mahrez. I haven't seen any city fan say they've seen glimpses of it. It's always the same thing - vision and great finishing. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by MetalJigsaw(m): 1:16pm On Apr 22, 2018 |
TheGoodJoe:The issue is of the present and not in the past. When we talk of dribblers, we're talking about players who are known for exhibiting it and displacing their opponents with it at a frequent rate. They are usually very confident and adventurous and enterprising with the ball. Got it? So Iheanacho doesn't fall in thus category. Players Like Jay jay, Ronaldinho, Robben, Mess I, V.Moses, Neymar etc 1 Like |

MetalJigsaw:the initial discourse is Iheanacho has NO dribbling ability GoodJoe says: No, he has always had it, but it went dormant recently Now, you: I get am before no be property, he is not even as good as JJ and Hazard. There was never such a comparison, there was just a debunking of the claim that Kelechi has NO dribbling ability, that he CANNOT dribble 1 Like |

safarigirl:I get your point now but... The Iheanacho of nowadays is what we're talking about. Does he belong to the category of a dribbler? No! In the SE we have such players in the mold of Moses and S.Moses. These players are always eager to exhibit tjat line of activity. 1 Like |

Kog45:Nah he's scored a few solo goals this season. Plus we see glimpses of it almost every game. With this Nacho's argument, I'll give you the example of Thierry Henry. Flying Winger as a young player. When he got converted and became an accomplished CF, you still see glimpses of his skill and dribbling every game as he occasionally drifts wide and beats a man when he has to. Can you honestly say that of Nacho in regards to his dribbling?? At least we glimpses of his precise short passing and final ball. Same can't be said of his dribbling. 2 Likes |

MetalJigsaw:nobody said he is a dribbler. What they said is he CAN dribble. Same way some said he was no more than a poacher Pro Kelechi: He can score from Outside the box too (He did) They said he can only score with his left foot Pro-Kelechi: he can score with other parts of his body. So, you see, nobody is saying Kelechi is JJ, what they are saying is "He can dribble when he wants to" 1 Like |
