diportivo: read the comments bro the accused has showed up......and he remains innocent until proven guilty op,how did u fix the egr problem?all I'm reading is how honmusa was disappointed and blah blah blah
Unlike Mayor2013 that was using fingers to diagnose my EGR problems, Honmusa handled it professionally using his vacuum tools and fixed the issue. Broh EGR system requires professional expertise to diagnos and fix the problem or you'll just waste money. Out of frustration working on the EGR system, Mayor said I should change my Charcoal canister. I was like what da Bleep I gave up on him after that... If you want to learn to fix EGR problem, go to Honmusa. I won't say much... |

I doubt mayors ability at times. 1st was his inability and inexperience to understand that some Camry and Lexus usually experienced some delays on their transmission.Kashif had to school him thoroughly on this. On the Lexus Is350 thread he created where he bought a wrong engine for same vehicle Same with how he started his BMW,Jaguar and Chrysler thread and none of them have been completed.Wondering why he is creating this threads without conclusion. We have learnt a lot from Kashif,GaZzuz, sooperescue,Kingerin and Others 10 Likes 1 Share |

fishing: Apt observation and going by this post(If true).. bad customer relation We had a serious quarrel about the issue and he people gathered. His wife came and was begging us to calm down. He warned his junior Kazeems that my Vehicle has been banned from his shop, and no one should attend to me again. He walked me out of his walk. Even when i came back to his shop to pick up my old parts which he replaced, which I knew were mostly working. He asked what am I doing here? I told him I will write an unbiased review about his services and competence. He told me to go ahead. I also told him I will report him to Honmusa, and he didn't seemed worried. At this point I had spent close to N150K in his workshop on parts, servicing and so-called repairs; with my car electrical and engine operation battered 2 Likes |

fishing: I still haven't seen or noticed any of this on Camry.i recently fixed a transmission on Lexus es330 2005 which shares same transmission with a Camry and a RX330 and I noticed nothing about what you expect me to take hook line and sinker. Until I personally observe this there is no need for lengthy talks about this. but no need deviating from main topic. Jaguar, BMW have all been fixed if u followed the thread on the bmw. A nairalander came to my workshop last year and saw the Jaguar. Its been discharged a long time ago working well. It happens to be a close friend's car for sale and he couldn't sell it that way.hence the reason for the fix. As for the BMW it's been fixed and all is working fine. As for chyrsler 300c owner had to ask us to pause basically because of financial constraints. I took it upon my self to have all problems fixed. I had to stop posting when owner never disclosed so many underlying problems associated with vehicle. This year we found out water had earlier entered transmission. I was surprised because car had been resting and had been parked a long while ago. Any one who had recently come to my garage who had seen it. If you wish to help out with the financial aspect why not indicate. I hope this helps you. Cheers 4 Likes |

I really didnt want to say anything about mayor before now, but I can independently and confidently say that most of what the op has said is true. I'm a medical doctor living in festac, hardly have time. I has the option of going to either honmusa at Gbagada or Mayor at Igando. Honestly there was nothing wrong with my car. It was a 3 month used from Tokunbo 2002 accord 4 cylinder. The only issue I had was the fuel economy of this 4cylinder was exactly like the 2001 accord v6 I had earlier (a car that had done 9 years in naija ). Honestly I wasn't getting poor mileage I only felt this should be a little better. I drove to mayor's place September 2017 with my friend who is a kazeem. Hmmmmmm. He messed up my car. Said he wanted to do a 'tuneup' in his words. Spent the whole day there doing a tuneup. At the end he and his boys could not couple back my car engine well. The car kept vibrating so violently. I had to leave there at 8pm with the car like that. This was a car that I drove to the island and then to igando with ac, no vibrations. He sold me some stupid brand new Bosch plugs for 12k in total. With these new plugs I drove back to festac that night and my car consumed a quarter tank for a distance of about 15miles (I drove 80 miles from half tank to 1/4 tank on my previous plugs which he condemned during the tuneup). Then after 22k spent for a tune up, I had my car vibrating like a tractor engine and using up a quarter tank for 15miles without traffic. It took my kazeem to reassemble my car engine properly to stop the vibrations and then I changed the 12k plugs back to simple platinum tipped Tokunbo plugs (2,500 for 4) to get my fuel economy back to where it should be. I won't have narrated all these if mayor had a good attitude, he actually at 7pm wanted to leave me and my car with his boys at his workshop even when the car was refusing to start. Honestly it's a pity. I've spoken to Gazzuzz only 3 times without ever meeting him, and he solved my issues with just a bit of advice on all occasions. Mayor clean up your act. emy77: Yes I remembered your car very well. You came in with your car stating you had a poor gas mileage. Car was scanned and an 02 Sensor code came up. 02 sensor wasn't readily available and I adviced you did a decarbonization and ultrasonic cleaning of injectors since you complained of high fuel consumption but I actually put a clause stating the 02 sensor problem and which you agreed to by saying you were going to fix at your own convinient time. I actually apologized for leaving out your job that day owing to the fact that there were pressing issues to attend to. I explained this to you thinking you understood that. If your car truly didn't work well as said I owe responsibility to this. But for a better way you could have communicated through to me and I would have personally made a much more better arrangement to have the car rechecked by me. All job done was rounded up by 8pm which was 3hrs late from close of work(5pm). I owe responsibility to this. 4 Likes |

luvinhubby:
I disagree with the opposite completely. Well respected car talk person to you only. In this day and age a respected car talk person is still buying the wrong engine for a vehicle right with all the information available to assist such as VIN etc There has been series of complaints over his repairs and the can of worms has just been opened 5 Likes 1 Share |
