Flat result.

yeah flat
if no improvement by mid year (i.e. still flat)
then final result might not be more than last year which cld also imply no growth in dividend payment (except dividend payout ratio is altered)

Net impairement loss on Loan & Receivables for banks is droping significantly.
Remember that this line item have been a major bleeding item for the banks.
2018 looks promising.

assumptions-1.I am a french guy. 2 i own 75% of lafarge. 3 in nse and the world in general,if a company declares loss the stock price declines. 4.i want to delist with minimal funds as compensation to minority holders.5.if i declare losses in just 2qs in a year, lafarge might get to 10naira.what stops me from taking this route?

Everything fell in lafarge, including asset. Net asset fell from 253 billion to 156billion. Hmm this confirms someone's assertion on this forum that management is stripping this company of its assets and using the carcass to collect loans. https://www.proshareng.com/news/Corporate-Results/WAPCO-Declares-N2.0bn-Loss-in-Q1-2018-Re/39638

Why do you think some of us are buying fbnh and diamond. These banks took the highest impairments and suffered greatly in terms of price depreciation. They are set to enjoy some reprieve by way of reduction in provisions, write-backs and recoveries. These will also affect their share price.

Dont shout hurray yet
wait until the results are audited (particular year end audit).
impairment are like bitter pills, u typically dont want to take it except if forced by an external stimuli (auditors / regulators)
so be cautious on the "promising outlook"

Resistance may likely become support very soon.
The Zenithic journey may not be that fast. My only worry is that Zenith always form big boy too much to carry trouser for hand and pick race very fast like the younger ones..... grin
