How about Advisory.. I hope the OPQ test evaluation is based on individual candidate's loS of choice and not just benchmarked with 'auditing ' E.g i get bored with routine and honestly stated that in the OPQ. I am also aware that Advisory isn't routinal, different companies different problem and objectives, even the same objective is different in nature as the organization differs. Well I can only hope... |

dyduds: I'm not sure if this recruitment includes the advisory LOS. However, I think the OPQ is benchmarked against PwC values as a firm which cuts across all lines of service {LOS} . Talking of routine jobs, it's subjective. Working with different clients across all LOS gives the opportunity to learn and work on different issues. But the solution set remains same based on your business unit, even in advisory. 2 Likes |

Hey guys, just jumping on the bus. So I decided to try the OPQ and here are some things I noticed. 1. The best way to get the best out of it is be in your best mood when you write. Even if you are super prepared, you can still make wrong choices based on what you are feeling. 2. You should either be honest to who you are on your nicest day, or have a very good memory/picture of the ideal person you want to paint. 3. If you go in expecting to mirror PWC's values, if the values are not really within you, you will at some point forget , or you will be distracted and you will choose things that are not consistent with who you actually want to portray. 4. There are really no right or wrong answers The truth is that OPQ's are not marked as individual questions, the entire 104 questions are a composite body of questions to define your personality. Based on your response, SHL will define who you are. So the best bet is just be yourself and be true to who you are. You would rather be rejected for who you are than be rejected for who you want to be. My thoughts tho. 9 Likes |

Phew! I just finished my OPQ. O boy! That thing can truly mess with one's head. You try to stay true to yourself, at the same time trying to ensure you fit the company's values. And then questions get repeated and shuffled amongst themselves and you forget what you picked before, you want to prioritize and you may end up contradicting yourself. I started out playing Mr. Consistency, I dinnor know when I started to pick anyone jare when I wanted to run mad analyzing For posterity: Maybe you can't really beat the system, but I think the key is balance....one may not exactly be 100% consistent with their choices but your overall personality must not be too variant to fit into PwC. Be honest but be wise. God, na your hand I dey o. I still believe. You did it before, you will do it again. 5 Likes |

Just did mine some few minutes ago, and here are my observations. First, it's gonna stress you. At some point, you may feel exhausted and may be tempted to choose any random option - DON'T. Second, you may have to contradict yourself sometimes. What do I mean? You may encounter some previous options, either slightly changed or regurgitated. You would still be required to select one of them as least preferred. My opinion, try to be consistent with some certain traits. If you are analytical and you feel its better than winning, stick with it. You may sometimes select the option of winning but don't let it supplant the main trait you want to sell. Good luck to all of us. Caveat: This is just an opinion. It may even be wrong for all i know. 1 Like |
