chrisooblog: 1. Because that was the task given to him to do by the authority. There's nothing to argue about. 2. The boss dictates. Therefore, it's the arrogant players that should be blamed, not Onigbinde, because from that interview, the information to play for Nigeria under the condition to call Onigbinde to reiterate their interest in the world cup came from the NFF camp or Super Eagles' camp. This shows that their was room for the arrogant players to come back to the team on the condition to humble themselves but as usual, they showed they were not ready to be submissive to the authority. GBAM Do Oliseh and his crews have two big heads? You can see how the keeper humbled himself and called the coach. Was he dropped? Was he called? No Was there sign he was wanted before he called? No EOD |

Joebie: Well just so you know, there is no argument I dont follow in here (except for the yabis part)..... if you ask me, the issue of who to invite so as to compete with shirts only started a couple of months ago. Off the top of our heads our starting 11 was somehow fixed, barring unforeseen circumstances and so we kinda went very comfortable for a long stretch until Lukaemia took out Carl Ikeme from the picture, until Mikel, Leon Balogun and Moses got injured at the same time just before the match against South Africa. This call for substitution of players now is a little too late in my opinion. Unless the player in question has got the X-Factor, aint no reason to upset what we have presently. If from the start of 2016 (cos I believe Oliseh resigned in February or so) at the time of contracting Rohr, if he had scouted a large pool of players, then we probably would have known where we are heading long ago. This is where I fault the scouting system of the National team. Lets also keep in mind that players suddenly started upping their game close to the world cup cos they now feel there is a fighting chance. But as I said in my post earlier, the Over reliance on starting 11 is what got us here. Nobody wan imagine am say Ighalo dey bench for Iheanacho. In fact if VicMo shows up late for camping, he must start. Thankfully, the difference between 2014 squad and 2018 squad is that while the former had only starting 11, the latter can boast of a starting 25 albeit discovering more and more daily. Back to the issue on ground. I say again, this call for new players should be suspended till after the world cup. Like TheGoodJoe once said about having over 100 players in camp and prunning them, while that seems laudable it is practically EXPENSIVE! (although that probably will work in age grade competitions). Lets see if this good work of Rohr will continue after the Mundial. I sincerely hope we keep him though for the next 4years so he can develop his model to fruition Up super eagles |

Humility017: I notice you can't discuss football without insults, your hypocritic mind notice manu garba must have seen something in nacho in training before giving him and Mohammed the responsibility but that same mind didn't notice Rohr must have seen something your short sighted eyes didn't see in training too that made him give him such responsibility. 1 Like 1 Share |

We are basically saying the same thing.. Since Rohr will be inviting just 30 Players, there isn't really much room for new players, unless we intend to drop the proven ones. However, there would be definitely slots for 2 or 3 new players in the 30 man list to slug it out with the already established.. Hence, there would still be calls by some for the inclusion of this or that in that list. It's inevitable. kennysville: |

Yes, that's the case. But Rohr said he would invite 30. I want to believe the stipulation is at most 35. tbaba1234: |

Martz101: then why haven't what rohr sees in training being made manifest for we all to see in the open whenever they get to play... from all the reports so far in camp...have you ever heard Moses scores from set piece.... I quote that manu garba stance...just to counter your lame beliefs that rohr who does and see no wrong.....must have see something extraordinary in Moses to have saddled him the duty to always take free kicks. that your first sentence made no sense at all...just dont wanna toil your line this evening..... |

forgiveness:sorry with due respect to chief festus what had he achieved in the Nigerian landscape that he should arrogantly appropriate to himself the authority to tel players to call him After he was appointed did oliseh n co say that they didn't want to play for nigeria again that necessitated them being treated like school kids As much as sunday and co also made some bad decisions they were unjustly chased away from the national team with chief festus as the hatchet man If it is true that the powers that be in the nigerian football federation did not want Vincent in the team again by using oliseh to chase him away then forgiveness I put it to you that you are being hypocritical if you say that it wasn't the case in onigbinde's time 1 Like |

chrisooblog: Who disbanded the team? Festus Onigbide or the Government? When was the team disbanded? Before or after Onigbide took over? Then after you must have gotten the answer, who was higher? Oliseh and his cohort, Fetus Onigbide or the Nigerian government? About what Onigbide achieved in his coaching career within and outside Nigeria, it is better you google it or ask sir KOG4 |

forgiveness: So from the lengthy write up you didnt notice reason why Shorumu joined the team and he was not even happy with the team. So after all finidi, oliseh and the rest had done for Nigeria you expect them to call the coach and beg for a call up, is just like asking Mikel to call and ask for a call up 1 Like |
