ibinaboonline:It is high time you know that secular issues can never be mixed with religion. If you don't try to be open minded and learn about what all these advocacies mean then you would stop equating it to marriage.Since you are a Christian read on Christian egalitarianism. 1 Like |

Xisnin: This is the best comment on this thread! Tnk God for guys like this, gives hope dt not all men think feminism means male antagonism. A lot of people need to Google up feminism and educate themselves. There are different schools of thought on feminism, it simply means equal opportunities for the girl child, not necessarily man hating. But alas I forgot, most people will rather run their mouth than read and get correct information. 1 Like |

any ideology built on subjectivity cannot survive. Most of the posts supporting Chimamanda reek of subjectivitity. it is either you are praising chimamanda's achievements or you are insulting Dencia. sadly this is what I see in my many interactions with self acclaimed feminists. An ideology that will stand has to be objective, consistent and applicable/repeatable. "Equality in dignity and opportunities for all irrespective of gender, religion, race or ethnic affiliations" is an example of a consistent ideology. This is what feminism should be (focus on irrespective of gender). Now you have a woman who prioritizes her role of wife and mother above all else. It is her choice but you tell her that you are upset about her choices. pray tell me, who violates the rule on respecting a woman's choices here? Chimamanda. Chimamanda was the anti-feminist in that discourse. But who do majority of the self-acclaimed feminists support in that discourse? Chimamanda 3 Likes |

Sarang: I could not resist quoting you, especially in the underlined area 1. Your submission up there is a case of your "emotional adrenaline" rather than rational 2. I believe it is needless defining feminism (your definition here is even watery). What is in focus is Chimamanda's audacity to question Hilary of her personal preference and preserve to see herself as first a Wife before any other accomplishment (of which Chimamanda is not even fit to lace those shoes) 3. Men hates feminism....bla...bla...bla, we've heard that a zillion times, but let's even go by that assumption. Is it not ironic that the so called feminist propenents are the ones intruding into fellow women's privacy, trying to force "feminism" (their jaundiced notion of it) on people? This is absolutely not feminism. This is just down-right daft reasoning. You don't go into people's private lives and tell them how to live their lives, especially when it does not suit you. A twitter fake-feminist who started the #menarescum. For some years she had lots of followers in young ladies who had all the reasons in the world not to live with a man. Guess what, recently the lady came to announce her engagement on twitter. These same gullible follower are now cursing her. 4. Who is Dencia, you say? Dencia has shown above all that she has a mind of her own. She is not gullible to follow Chimamanda....just because "Chimamanda is well versed and educated writer", but she is intelligent enough to challenge Chimamanda's submissions especially where suchdoes not make sense. 6 Likes |

Chimamanda is very silly and has no respect. Does she realize Hillary Clinton is nearly 70 years old? Is Hillary her roommate or peer to be asked such a question? We are Africans and respect for elders should be maintained as is our custom. 2 Likes |

monex: Of course feminism is not against any of those things. Did you know what her bio was when she was campaigning? To the point is simple she would never have put that up on her bio during election why now? Hypocrisy bro. It's just a reflection of Hilary's character she could say and pretend to be something else for her ambition. During her campaign she went out saying she is a mother and wife first rather she was busy potraying herself as an accomplished career woman first. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with how you choose to potrayed yourself but consistency in issues like this is a test of character. Take and stand and stand by it do not flip flop because you want people to vote for you. |

martineverest:True but I believe she should not have asked Hillary such. You and xisnin brought a good submission but your Nigerian brothers would always have a way to change something and call feminist beggars and bitter pained women. Some women see marriage as an achievement others don't.It is mainly over religious women that see marriage like that and they are so plenty in Nigeria. 1 Like |

ibinaboonline:To theist God rules our entire lives. Then democracy should not be practiced we should go back to monarchy as practised in the bible.Things are changing and don't lie to me that you practise all the message in your holybook especially the old testament laws.Sometimes I wonder when we would learn to separate religion from secular issues.Read on Christian egalitarianism sir. 1 Like |
