No. Should we be happy, neutral or bitter about the wickedness in the world? Should we be happy, neutral or bitter about the level of injustice in the world? Should we see the dearth of reason and the death of humans and be neutral and/or happy and still claim to have any humanity left in us?

Note that I never said bear the suffering with a stoic smile on your face. What I'm saying is, don't let bitterness be the end result. Get rid of the bitterness first, then you'll find you can think straight so you can tackle the issue more objectively.

I speak from experience. I've been a really bitter person, but I had to first release myself from the toxicity before I could even see an end to my woes. It may take a resignation (I did that) a breakup, a radical change in appearance, habits and even location, but first be rid of bitterness. We sometimes hear of people we envy suddenly cave in due to bitterness. Failed marriages, careers, etc..... Bitterness is not a badge of honor, lady.

Chimamanda's criticsism of one of the world's most intelligent and most powerful women over her proud devotion to her family as a wife, mom and grandmother was as near a colossal gaffe as she could ever commit!

Next thing you know she'll be criticizing Hillary for not divorcing Bill and letting him get impeached during the Lewinsky saga.

Hillary married Bill most likely before Chimamanda was even born, and she should be looking to the older woman for advice, yet she chose to go the way she did because of a cause she's fighting for which, without a doubt, is due to her own personal experience.
