This ANS guy is going off on twitter again. He's calling Rohr incompetent and lacking in intelligence. What is really up with this guy? With the way he's pushing this thing, one might be tempted to believe him or he might just be a very talented actor/liar. |

Icon4s: chairman the under20 is not for 18- 20, is for players under 20 years, you can't compete if you are 20, Mikel and ogbuke was 18 when he competed and graduated directly from under17, taiwo was added from NPL elkanemi after playing with the famous gabros, meaning Taiwo played for 2 or more seasons in NPL. Sir do you prefer win at all cost policy and no future for the national team? |

WORLD CUP 2018: Nigeria's 2018 World Cup squad predicted: Who will join Moses & Iwobi in 23-man squad? The Chelsea and Arsenal men will be joined by a host of Premier League alums in Russia, along with a few more familiar faces Nigeria qualified for the World Cup in impressive fashion. The Super Eagles topped a group also featuring Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia, losing just once along the way. They will subsequently join Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal and Egypt in flying the flag for the African continent in Russia 2018, but who will make Salisu Yusuf's squad? ON THE PLANE Nigeria's players tend to be spread all across the globe, but their attacking ranks are packed with talent that will be familiar to English fans. Indeed, Arsenal's Alex Iwobi leads a group of attackers who are, barring injury, guaranteed to have a seat on the plane to Russia, and all of them have played in England over the last 12 months. Iwobi has scored twice and provided five assists in the Premier League this season, and will be joined by Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho and his team-mate Ahmed Musa , even though both have struggled to find the back of the net in 2017-18. Iheanacho, once touted as the country's next great hope, has scored just once for Leicester in the league, while Musa was loaned out by the Foxes to CSKA Moscow in January. He has since scored three times. Chelsea's Victor Moses plays in a more attacking role for his country, despite periodically impressing as a wing-back at Stamford Bridge, while Odion Ighalo called time on a spell at Watford to join Changchun Yatai in a £20 million deal earlier this year. Five goals in seven games since the move suggests that he is hitting form at the right time as the World Cup looms. Iheanacho's club-mate Wilfred Ndidi is also sure of a spot on the plane, having impressed since the departure of N'Golo Kante to Chelsea. Indeed, he has played for the club 32 times in the league alone this season. He will be joined in midfield by Nigeria's current captain, former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel , now at Tianjin Teda in China, while Ogenyi Onazi , of Trabzonspor, will add to his 50 caps in Russia. Moses Simon , at the age of 22, is likely to be one of the younger members of the squad after scoring five goals from midfield for Gent this season. Oghenekaro Etebo , of Las Palmas, is the same age as Simon and will also be included barring any late injury. Another player who will be familiar to English fans is Ola Aina , who is currently on loan at Hull City from Chelsea. He has been ever present for Hull this season and chose to represent Nigeria despite being capped at a number of youth levels by the Three Lions. Leon Balogun , of Mainz, is also set to take a seat, having made 14 Bundesliga appearances this season. William Troost-Ekong , of Bursaspor, and Brian Idowu - who scored in a recent 4-2 friendly win over Argentina - are also likely to be included in the squad, as is Shedu Abdulahi , a club-mate of Troost-Ekong. In goal, Nigeria are almost certain to take Ikechukwu Ezenwa - he has won 24 caps, and plies his trade in his native country with Enyimba - and he will be supported by Daniel Akpeyi , who plays in South Africa with Chippa United, and Francis Uzoho , of Spanish side Deportivo Fabril. POTENTIAL PICKS Another Chelsea player who has been farmed out on a number of loans is Kenneth Omeruo, who is highly regarded in his native country, and could well end up on the plane to Russia. He has won 36 caps at the age of just 24, and is currently at Kasimpasa in Turkey. Junior Ajayi has been in fine goalscoring form this season, netting nine times and providing 10 assists for Ahly in Egypt, while Torino's midfielder Joel Obi has found the net five times from midfield, and will be under consideration by manager Yusuf. Elderson Echiejile , 30, is one of the most experienced players in Nigeria's ranks, winning 60 caps in defence, while John Ugo , at Hapoel Be'er Sheva, has reached the same age but has won just 18 caps to date. Defender Shehu Abdullahi is in the current squad and will hope for it to stay that way, as will 21-year-old centre-back Chidozie Awaziem . Bursaspor's Mikel Agu has won just four caps, but could become part of his country's defensive thinking after a solid season. LONG SHOTS A number of players will still be hoping to claw their way into Yusuf's squad, and they are again dotted all over the globe. Henry Onyekuru is a name that will be familiar to several European football fans, with Anderlecht regularly featuring in the Champions League, but a serious knee injury has derailed his season and he faces a race to be fit for the World Cup. Uche Agbo has impressed in defensive midfield for Standard Liege but he is inexperienced at international level, and it remains to be seen if he can usurp more experienced members of the Super Eagles' midfield. Dele Alampasu , however, may need disaster to strike for him to be included, the goalkeeper unlikely to be preferred to Uzohu, Ezenwa or Akpeyi if the three are fit. Meanwhile, Stephen Eze has struggled for game time at Lokomotiv Plovdiv, while Ifeanyi Ifeanyi has won over 10 caps and could be included in midfield. Victor Osimhen is yet another striker prospect to emerge from Nigeria but he has failed to score for Wolfsburg this season in 13 appearances. http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/nigerias-2018-world-cup-squad-predicted-who-will-join-moses/m3jclmooc5dd10t5i375riswd |

tbaba1234: Bros how will a young player improve in league like Bulgaria and Bosnia, if Mohammed sign for Liverpool or Chelsea he will be loaned to probably Holland league or Belgium league. simple logic... you think Aina or Ebuehi will inprove in such league. Musa Mohammed scored 2 goals and assisted 5 in that under 17 from right back, with blistering speed and set piece prowess he could have gotten better deal and become a better player. NFF should setup a sector that will monitor young players management, it will help in development our national team 1 Like |

chrisooblog: Is this the kind of misbehavior Enyeama did? I thought Enyeama had cliques, mafia group, came to camp late, went to night clubs on the eve of a crucial match, brought girls into the camp on the eve of crucial matches, etc Please, come back and tell me when Enyeama misbehaved in these forms with impunity else that 2002 team deserved to be banned. Well said! Vincent Enyeama is a drama queen and I don't wanna see him in the Super Eagles camp again. I staunchly stood with him throughout the whole drama with Sunday Oliseh. But once Rohr took over, I advised him to pick up the phone and give Rohr a call. I suggested to him that now is the time to bury the hatchet and open a clean slate with Rohr but he adamantly refused. And I did call him again after Carl Ikeme got sick, I pleaded with him to let bygones be bygones. I told him that his country badly needs him now, but all my pleading fell on deaf ears. So right now, I am not going to Russia with Vincent Enyeama even he's the LAST goalkeeper in the world! O pari chrisooblog: 4 Likes |

Did he go to nightclub before a crucial match? So tell me how his indiscipline is so different from Vincent's that warranted him being pushed out in 2002 3 Likes |

chrisooblog: 2002 were full of bad cliques. The difference is clear. EOD Even, if we remove the cliques, the 2002 team were found wanting in others. EOD The whole team was disbanded and that affected Oliseh. However, if Oliseh really wanted to play for his country, he should had called the coach. EOD 1 Like |

Or do you think those people clamoring for Enyeama's inclusion are being logical or even current about his fitness level? Martz101: Yeah Mikel and Ogbuke played at 18. Yes as I said before the U20 is for 18-20years olds so they fall in. The U20 is for players who are 20 and less. Typically 18-20. Thank God you mentioned Taiwo, cos going by your logic he should never had been given the chance for the "development". Do you know the entire backline of that famous 2005 U20 were never part of the 2003 U17? Dele Adeleye, Monday James, Onyekachi Apam, Kennedy Chinwo, Taiye Taiwo all were not part of the U17. You cannot parade 16-17 years olds as U20. They are U17. And who says winning a tournament makes players not to have future with the national team? I stand for excellence at all levels. No mediocrity. Winning and excellent development. That is the way to go. 1 Like |
