I was also upset when reading the headline at initial too but now I let a sigh of relief. And I'm also beginning to appreciate and love her writing skills. I was wondering how she could get all these global attentions but this introduces her representation of intelligence and how much convenience she feels doing what she likes doing most. Just a supposed reply to a shallow online remark or comment turns to a Preface of another novel. Bravo! I think this piece only can buy another ticket for Hilary for another Presidential Race. 1 Like |

soliddust2020:What makes the question inappropriate? Adiche asked an honest question from her opinion, I see reason with her, because many of us attached miss Clinton success to her husband and same with her mistake, it also contributed in ruining her chances in the last election, even here in Nigeria most of us were not in support of her because she was once a first lady and we felt going to the white house as President was not proper. Just that the word feminism choke most men. Adiche I know will never change her opinion on any issues she has raised voice about, that doesn't make her right neither does it make her wrong, but people are quick to condemn. 2 Likes |

Apart from being the only first lady to own two ivy leagues degrees and being one of the most successful lawyer in america Read some Michele Obamas accomplishments over the years below. After reading it, now tell us what adichie has done with her so called "position if influence" apart from dishing out crap in the name of feminism? How has her influence help anambra people, nigeria or the world at large? CSTR1003: 1. In 2010, she launched Let’s Move!, bringing together community leaders, educators, medical professionals, parents, and others in a nationwide effort to address the challenge of childhood obesity. Let’s Move! has an ambitious goal: to solve the epidemic of childhood obesity within a generation. Whether it’s providing healthier food in our schools, helping kids be more physically active, or urging companies to market healthier foods to our children, Let’s Move! is focused on giving parents the support they need to make healthier choices for their kids. 2. In 2010 she passed The School Lunch program with bipartisan support. The program provides free and reduced-price meals to more than 21 million low-income children, now requires districts to serve more fruit, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein and low-fat dairy products. In California alone, the Fresh Works Fund has committed 200 million dollars to this effort to increase access to healthy food. 4. Darden, the world’s largest full service restaurant company, which owns Olive Garden, Red Lobster and other chains, made a commitment to improve kids’ menus by offering a fruit or vegetable and low-fat milk with every meal. Darden will also reduce total calories and sodium by 20% across their menus over the next 10 years. TAKE A LOOK: Michelle Obama Is Officially A Guinness Book Of World Record Holder 5. Yea, she was admitted to study Med. & Surg in UNN, but are you aware she went to the University Secondary School and lived all through as a teenager on campus. Even while at the US, she always visited her family on campus. Do I have to argue with you for what? You may be a robot by the way. 6 Likes 1 Share |

nkemdi89: I'm indifferent to Chimamandas thoughts as regards Hilary Clinton's marriage. Of course Clinton will be gracious about the questions asked her, she has more to lose than Chimamanda, if she's less than gracious. I was just concerned that you think people speaking against her are only doing so because she's not from their tribe. Because she's from a different tribe doesn't mean those from other tribes ranting against her are doing so out of tribalism. Many detest feminism, and it has very little to do with tribal affiliations. You even talked about jealousy and bitterness, when majority of Nigerians are proud of her achievements, and support her. They only just dont like her stance on feminism. They dont like anyone called feminist. I'm sure you also bashed Buhari when he tagged Nigerian youths lazy, but that's also just his personal opinion, and not binding. That didn't stop you from bashing him. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Some corrections: Ms is now the 21st century way of giving a lady a title without using Miss or Mrs. In essence when it is used you cannot tell if a woman is married or not. It simply says this is a woman. It removes the label of married or single from the description of a woman. 6 Likes |

Whatever clinton does are well calculated and strategised 2 gather the neccesary attention, feminism is 1 of her game plan 2 garner sentimental favor. oyb:Funny you went to my former posts to pick out things. I made that comment in reaction to the thread I made the comment on. If you read the story on that thread, you would know what I was reacting to. What you're doing is called the fallacy of argumentum ad hominem. You don't have any superior argument against my position so you chose to attack my person as if that invalidates the point I made. Maybe I should also go to your former posts and start digging for things to use to attack u also but it's totally unnecessary. There is no rule or exception as to how anyone chooses to describe themselves on their personal SM bio, it's their choice!! and you have to respect that. If I went to chimamanda's personal bio and started criticizing her for descriptions that don't tally with my personal views, how would she appreciate my invasion of her personal space? I gave you an example of Obama's bio because you seemed to be convinced that the only reason Hilary Clinton could have chosen to describe herself as a wife and mother was because of misogyny!! Never mind that Hilary Clinton herself has perhaps done more to advance the cause of women's rights and emancipation than any other person in the US today, she must be pilloried for having the nerve to be proud of her achievement as a good mother to her daughter and good wife to her husband. If Hilary Clinton had elevated her other achievements above her personal relationship with her family, chimamanda would have praised her as a feminist hero right? Because family should only be important to backward, uneducated women right? You have no right to be an accomplished woman and still be a good wife and mother right? Unless you're saying that the real goal of feminism is to downplay and undermine the importance of family then I don't see why a feminist should pick offence at another accomplished woman for acknowledging her roles as a mother and wife 9 Likes 2 Shares |

You remind me of honourable Gudaji- I guess that's his name- who is perplexed that voting more women into the Nigeria house of assembly would be the end of the world. I quoted you to correct the notion that dowry paid for marriage makes a woman 'less' human! Social anthropology in this regard speak differently. Please get your facts right before making jokes. Chimamanda crosses the African red line in her pursuit of feminist theology, that doesn't mean we should denigrate womanhood. prechbills1: 1 Like |
