jayned: Hi Jayned, its a beautiful thing what you are doing with your dogs, keep it up! I have very few questions... 1) Do you groom your Dog's hair, I mean cutting the hair quite often... ? 2) If "YES", Leaving the hair all grown and full, making the dog look bigger and all fluffy.... Will that have any negative effect or disadvantage on the Caucasian ? 3) Finally , I believe this linage has been of a purebred, both the outside males you cross them with, but I just want to hear it from you and count on your words...... ..... ; Are you certain that the whole linage involved has been 100% pedigree ? |
Re: I Love My Dogs! by jayned: 5:26pm On Apr 18, 2018 |
NathanKAY: Thanks for the compliment 1. Yes like once in 2 months. I don't always cut the hair but use a comb while and after bathing them. 2. There are no disadvantages if the hair is clean and not matted. 3. I am not sure mine is purebred but I am 100percent sure the stud we use is pedigree. |

When Ira was about 9 and 10 days into her bleeding period, Zeus was just there we even thought something was wrong with his mojo because he would just sniff her and be off just like other days. We took Ira out for mating on day 10. By day 11, Zeus was all riled up like never before crying all night. By day 12 morning, he wanted to break his chain just to get to Ira. He tried mounting her severally but as usual, Ira would not give him the time of day. He kept crying but she will not budge meanwhile we were watching keenly to ensure nothing happens ooo cos we don't want her pups to have different fathers (I heard that is possible with dogs) . It has been hell for Zeus that I feel bad for him. He has been hanging by Ira's door since we let him loose this morning. He can see but but touch. I hope this phase passes soon. So we have tested Zeus and his sexuallity is intact maybe he will get a chance next time. By the way, he is 1 year 4 months now. 2 Likes

Meanwhile, it seems like Zeus is the one on heat ooo. Its been almost a week (and counting )of hell for him. There was this time I mistakenly let him off his chain while Ira was running free in the compound. My heart was in my mouth because he became defiant and I thought 'e go happen today' but my girl did not fall my hand. The moment she saw him running towards her, she just sat down and he started humping her all over even her head. It was really hilarious and sad at the same time. Because of this heat wahala, he doesn't eat much as he is always spilling the food due to too much agitation and movements. We will try and fix his cage soonest that way he doesn't see much of her. 2 Likes |

Look how our Zeus has turned out, I said it earlier that he will grow big. I just loooovvveeee his blackness. I missed out on the last litter cos of funds. Insha Allah, a female from this litter is coming home to keep my Kenya company. Great job Aunty Jayned, you are an inspiration to a lot of caucasian humans. |

I Iove those Dogs. I have a female puppy but don't Know how pure and if she's growing well .. Please jayned when was Ira's first heat ever?? And what is her heat intervals?? .. U can check my puppy she's on the front page 'Talia's DIARY" |
Re: I Love My Dogs! by jayned: 9:35pm On Apr 25, 2018 |
BDDynasty: Yeah I saw Talia earlier! She looks just like my Isis. I am not like some experts here who can tell if a dog is pure just by looking at pictures. But Talia sure looks good to me. Ira's first heat was when she was about 2 yrs old. The interval is now after 8 months. |

This is what ira looks like 2 weeks after mating. There have been no changes so far. I try to restrict her movement so from today, she is off night duty. Meanwhile Zeus is no longer on heat (if u get my drift). Thankfully no more whining. So 'heat' lasted about 10days or so. I noticed it's Ira who has no sensuality(but thankfully she is fertile) because she never agreed to be mated willingly. It was always a struggle and always felt like rape. Whenever we go for second mating. you can always see the agony in her eyes. I once posted that my dogs don't like fish waste. Well, I found a way of making the tolerate it. I grind the fish waste at a mill and sprinkle on their cooked food and that has solved the problem. It has saved me the problem of buying iced fish. 3 Likes

Dogs are very loyal and a smart pet. They also take care of your home in your abscence which is a quite attractive habit of them. They potect your house from thieves when you are sleeping in the night. Dogs plays with you and you also go for a walk with your dog. |
Re: I Love My Dogs! by jayned: 3:16pm On Jun 03, 2018 |
it's day. 47 of mating and we are yet to see a baby bump. Even though by day 40 of the last, we could see the round baby bump. this makes me wonder if she is carrying very few or if she is pregnant at all. The ray of hope though is her breast are a little bit enlarged though no milk yet. Another sign is she now loves to rest alot. always loving to sit. She however still chases after birds, lizards etc with all her might (which always leaves me panicking). She is so hyper active that we are like if she supposedly had 2 stillbirths as a result of activity the last time, then this time it might be a lot more. Since she does not live in a conventional dog cage, we have to release her every now and then so she does not soil the room too often. Another sign is her appetite is not as wild as usual. See pictures below. I don't see any bump. abi eye dey pain me? I really hope so.

jayned:Her bump could come out during the last week, so still keep ur fingers crossed, I once had a female that was always like that ND sometimes no even bump, only a little fatter, ND den drop like 6 pups, so I eventually stopped bothering abt her being big in d tummy, I currently have a female too that is supposedly pregnant, I don't know how hers is as this is her first mating, but I also haven't seen any changes apart from her nipples dt increased just a bit, she grew fatter but I feel that's cos I started feeding her a more quality food |

Re: I Love My Dogs! by gman55(m): 4:06am On Jun 11, 2018 |
Hello Ma, The puppies will be 4weeks in days time. I have introduce semi solid food, Cerelac added to their formal diet. Wanted to ask about the dried kibbies you talk about, what are they really. Can I skip and go for wet canned food for puppies. |
Re: I Love My Dogs! by jayned: 8:01am On Jun 11, 2018 |
gman55: I use Arion dry kibbies. Meanwhile, at this stage, I use the whole egg. I boil and blend. If u use wet canned food now, u may spoil them silly. my opinion though. |

jayned: Hello, after mating ur dog, do u restrict their movement immediately after mating or u leave them free for some weeks before restricting. Secondly, my Caucasian is approximately 9months now, good height but quite narrow, I want to believe she will fill out with time, or? |
