Apologies to all mamas that has been expecting to read and enjoy bs from April mamas like me, it’s been easy is the best thing to say. My bs is going to be long because I want it to encourage someone in here that God is still in the business of doing wonders.
After I got married in August 2016,I got pregnant early November and by January 2017, precisely on the 2nd of January, I collapsed and was rushed to the hospital by my mum and elder brother who came visiting for the new year, to cut the long story short, the pregnancy was ectopic and I was rushed to the theater were I lost my left Fallopian tube just like that, after the incident depression set in as hubby had to travel out of the country. Sometime around June, I forced hubby to return so we could try for another baby, my gynea then told me I should come to the hospital to see him specifically if I found out I got pregnant so as to avoid another ectopic that could make me loose my only tube, as God would have it hubby came back and just like that God did it! I fell pregnant and was monitored from the moment I got my bfp, my pregnancy journey was very eventful, I had all day sickness, saliva and every other thing associated with hyperemesis gravinadum, at week 7 there was no fetal heart beat and the was told to wait till week 9, those two weeks were the longest of my entire life but in all I give thanks that at week 9, everything was fine. Around my 34 week anc, I was booked for a pelvimetry scan just to make sure everything is fine, the results showed I had an inadequate pelvis and I was booked for a Csection for 7th of April, on the 6th of April morning I started having contractions and I started timing them and managed it till evening when I couldn’t take the pain again, my hubby took me to the hospital and I was admitted, I managed to contractions till morning with the nurse coming to check my baby’s heartbeat several times and my husband rubbing my back, in the morning of 7th, I was prepared and taken into the theater and delivered of a beautiful king!. This is for any mama out there, God’s say concerning your having a child/children is final no matter the medical report or your medical situation, one Fallopian tube or non, God will settle you! Yes you!.

I will be using coconut oil as baby lotion all through. My neighbour use it and the benefits are so much. So I will have to prepare enough that will last 3 months.

I just got this info from mumsie and it works; she gives coconut water to a new born baby as soon as the baby is born and the baby will never suffer those intestine untwisting issues that usually last for 3 months. She has done this for 3 of her grand kids and even advised a friend to do it, she agreed it works.

I also learnt that some babies grow so fast that they outgrow their cloths in one week. Any solution to this while shopping?

KWell Madam the receiving blanket +teddy bear is same as the pics I posted below I saw it packed in a box and it came with a teddy it also came with a pillow which made it a plus and I picked it. For the fact newborns don't need teddy didn't mean they won't need it later. Can't be going to the market again to buy things if I could get it now, why not if the money is available now? I am not putting my hope on getting gifts from people if they come fine and if they don't, so be it!
Secondly, the flannels are those ones that you can use in backing baby and at the same time serve as bed sheets.

Normal clothes line dryer for my first baby like seriously? Hanty please don't make me laugh...

As for the bath set, yes there are bath set for as low as 4k but I went for this one cos I found it more durable and it's my choice. I don't plan on having just one child by God's grace, will use it for all my children.

All what I got are my choices and preferences people's choices differ and if God provide by his grace we all want something better!

I didn't want to reply you initially I'm only doing it for the sake of the good mama's here that need clarification! Bye

Many a first time moms have gotten stuff that they do not really need, or are not very useful! Comments are only to highlight the dual roles things can have into perspective, especially if resources are limited .

We all have rose tinted glasses on when shopping for our first baby. I know someone who bought a new 2nd washing machine when she had her first baby. It was a great idea at the time.... so a special baby clothes drying rack is nothing in comparison.

Your clarifications with posting the pictures also serve to show people the differences in the items and what the contents are in the bath set. All in all people are better informed.

Avoid buying too many newborn clothes. They are only till like 5kg. Your baby may come out bigger than expected.
0-3 months is ok for new born for the first month or so depending on your baby.

It is also ok to jump a size. So they have a bigger size that they can use for longer.
For example You can to buy up to 6 months as Roseey0 has said and omit 0- 3 months. Then he next size you buy will be 12 months. You omit the 9month size.

Babies are not very mobile at the early stages so it is fine for them to wear much larger sizes and grow into it. By the time They get to 6 months or 9 months and a very mobile, (crawling and standing) the longer lengths and bigger sizes may be come a trip hazard so just take that into consideration when you get to that stage and make sure you keep am extra eye out especially for the body suites as these tend to have trailing leg bits which they can trip on. For normal clothes, i.e. dresses or trousers, this is not an issue. Just roll it up. All na guy!

It's a good idea I can't get original coconut oil in my current location else, that was my initial plan too. As for clothes, try not to buy too many you can get them as they grow. Buy the ones you will be needing till like 6months.

A mama actually told me about this but I am yet to ask Mr Google. She said baby will so popo all the yamayama and one would hardly visit the hospital. Will try read up on it and/or ask around.

Mama, dis is sooo me wen I was shopping, I bought a lot of things I couldn't use for baby while I didn't even buy much for myself. After buying baby stroller and mastela rocker, someone dash us brand new Fisher price (wey space to display all?)...A lot of clothing, mittens and other stuffs wey my baby never use, and just @3months now he has outgrown some. I just console myself by saying I've done some shopping ahead for his forthcoming siblings
