this same white head mumu cultist supported an old buhari

Soyinka's submission during d last election is as a result of human natural instinct of self assessment, accurate or misconceived. I think he could have erred completely if he still drums the beat of support for PMB.

Yet nobody can find anybody better than 75 years old Buhari. It is never about age. It is about integrity and competence. It is too early after 2.5 years to assess PMB's performance especially considering the messed up country he inherited.
Chrismario:
At what age can one be considered old?

This is not about age but competency!

Buhari was voted because everyone is fed up of Goodluck's lackluster performance not knowing that Buhari is not even better.

I think Nigerian youths need to wake up from parochial sentiments yes Soyinka might campaign against Jonathan and now speaking against buhari does that make him a bad person is Jonathan's administration a good one I say no he and many others thought buhari would be better myself inclusive ( though never voted for either) for him to say the obvious about buhari abs Jonathan is never a sin . Jonathan's administration was bad he was kicked out so is buhari now let's kick him out simple and let's stop castigating the prof or others that spoke against Jonathan's administration. God bless Nigeria

We the Yoruba's don't have blind support for anyone, that majority supported Buhari does not stops us from criticizing and dumping him if necessary. This is even happening despite having a Yoruba man as the VP. Other tribes should learn that from us.

Unfortunately, Nigerian youths have become worse than their older thieves!

- who help the old crooks to rig elections? Youths!

- who help the old murderous crooks to murder their opponents? Youths!

- who help the old corrupt politicians cause chaos at voting booths? Youths!

- who sell their votes over cash, bags of rice and tomatoes? Youths!

- who help the old corrupt idiots distribute bribes? Youths!!

In fact, without the youths' massive assist to political crooks, the damage to our country would not have been this big!!

I am a youth and it doesn't qualifies me to be a leader. What matters is my character and personality!

I don't care if you are 100yrs old or 17yrs old or Igbo or Yoruba or Hausa or Fulani, you're religious or not, poor or rich, as long as you have the character and attitude and health to lead this country in the right path, I will support you!!

I have been closely watching Sowole the owner of the Saharareporters.

It's easy to realize that white hair does not translate to one having wisdom.

Dear Soyinka, thank you for the advice. However, you are just another hypocrite who realized he only had to make a u-turn to save face and not to give us genuine advice. Father of cultism!

Related to Bubu and his campaign poster from your signature... Steady (24/7) power supply for EVERY NIGERIAN at the same time is technically not possible within the next 10 to 15 years, even if you start building power plants right now. Nigeria produces under 10% (actually around 3%) of the energy required. In Europe, in my country of under 10 million people, we produce at any given moment (24 hours a day) twice what Nigeria of 200 million people produces when the production is on the highest (we make 8500 MW while Nigeria produces around 4000 MW, +/- 1000 MW). That means that it is not a matter of simple political will to give electricity to Nigerians. Nigeria has to build power plants 30 to 50 TIMES BIGGER than what it has today. With the way things work in this country, I don't think even my grandchildren will see that improvement. Now, saying that Nigerians will have steady power supply if only they vote for Bubu has the same value as if you write on your poster that Nigerians will get free flights to the Moon, Mars and Venus (and VISA free!) if they elect Bubu.

Stop lying to Nigerians and promising impossible.

Soyinka to Youths: Don’t Vote Old People Into Office

Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka yesterday asked Nigerian youths to mobilize themselves and vote out old people from government in the 2019 general elections.

Soyinka, who spoke with reporters after the convocation lecture he delivered at Elizade University, Ilara- Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, said the era of voting old people into government should be over in the country.

Speaking after the convocation lecture titled, “Tending the tree of Commencement”, Soyinka said the youth, who formed the bulk of voters, should not make the mistake of allowing old men to take leadership of the country again.

In veiled reference to President Muhammadu Buhari who would be 76 during the next presidential election, Soyinka said: “All I can just tell you is this; don’t make the mistake of following those who failed you before; those who are pretending that they have nothing to do with the disaster that has overtaken Nigeria.

“They are very quick to smell failure, they are very quick to shout it; but then, they exculpate themselves, whereas they are the founding malfeasance of the Nigerian condition: that is what I am warning youths against. Mobilize, get your representatives and stop bothering geriatrics like myself.”

Soyinka, in the second convocation lecture, lamented the scrapping of History in the schools in the country and the fact that many people have forgotten their historical background. Among the trees of commencement, Soyinka said is Leah Shuiab, one of the students kidnapped in Government Girls’ Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State.
He said the girl was able to maintain her firmness like Nelson and Winnie Mandela who chose to remain in prison despite the offer by the government of South Africa. In his remark, the Chairman of the convocation lecture, Prof. Ayo Banjo, said the country must pay attention to the training of teachers, lamenting the fate of teachers in the country.

The Elizade University would, today, graduate 105 students in 31 programmes covering five different faculties. All the degrees of the university, the Registrar of the institution, Chief Omololu Adegbenro said, have the blessing of regulatory bodies and the National Universities Commission (NUC).
According to him, 16 of the graduating students bagged first class while 50 of them got second class upper while the rest 39 students got second class lower division. The first class graduands, he said, would be given automatic employment.

Youths have allowed themselves to be used in committing many atrocities in the country. So we are not after age here but track record. We are after those that will help sell our potentials globally. Donald duke tried that while he was governor of cross river. I would have mentioned pat utomi but he doesn't have a track record.
