Please you can use your Statement of Result. Alot of people here used it without any issues, including me. Saying it would cause delays is a very wrong assumption. Your application can be delayed for numerous other reasons.

Hello I'm also in PH and I've already applied for an EOR. I raised a bank draft took to BC and after collecting my TRF went upstairs immediately.

They issue TRFs on Wednesdays and Thursdays in PH. Applied yesterday. They mentioned that after the exams.

Good morning everyone. Had to create a new moniker for this question. Its a long one but i want to give full details so as to get as many advice as I can get

In 2013 we adopted a child from a mutual friend. She gave us an affidavit to that effect which was signed in court. We were to apply for an adoption order but we didn't as at then. When we thought of migrating, we went to the court to apply for adoption. The Lagos state child law act on adoption didn't favour us. They said only family members were allowed to adopt or we should take her to an orphanage and arrange the adoption from there. I couldn't bear the thought of taking my child to the orphanage and leave her there, the trauma and psychological effect.

We opted instead to apply for legal guardianship as our lawyer advised. The Magistrate asked if her biological parents were alive, we told her just one parent and they awarded us joint custody with her biological mum saying Section 76 and 77 of Lagos child right law states you can't award full custody of a child to another person if any of the biological parent is alive and sane.

We applied for PPR with her and got her Biological mother to sign the consent form. She has no objections whatsoever. She was angry at the court's decision to award joint custody as she had long ago decided to bless us with the adoption.

I ordered notes and saw they highlighted her papers as a course for potential concern. I have attached it here, what do you all think please?

1. Is joint legal guardianship an issue?
2. We have evidence of her being with us since 2013, school fees receipts, HMO documents, Pictures. Should I raise a CSE and send those?
3. What is your opinion please?

There is nothing wrong with raising a CSE at this point to inform them. Let them guide you. So that you don't send passport twice to Accra. You will just be required to submit medicals for the little one and updated POF. Your 15 days expires almost around the same period. Who knows, baby might decide to make a grand entrance in less than 3 weeks exactly.

My opinion sha cos I believe that the background check that needs to be done from all the places one visits might contribute to delays. Be it for the PA or spouse. I have a good amount of travel time so I am guessing my application is delayed cos of that. But like I said, it's my presumption.

Hi, my contact in unilag said i should request for attestation letter in lieu of certificate but that sounded odd to me because majority of applicants have been using statement of results.
Is it statement of result or letter of attestation ?

Hello All, I submitted my PR application and all required documents last week and as at two days ago I saw an update that I passed the medicals. I didn't expect it to be that quick. Please can anyone advise on the average time it takes from after passing the medicals to getting the request for passport? Thanks a lot.

I concur! You can then send the passport to Accra if there is no response before the 15 days deadline but I believe they will respond.

Second attempt LSRW 8.5,8,7,7 (less prepared than 1st attempt so result was a miracle)

POF:

Used personal account (left out salary account)
Added spouse pension (presented pfa statement and loe from spouse)
Wrote a detailed loe with xchange breakdown in a table

The Wait
Was checking MyCIC everyday! Sometimes twice a day. Got too tired of the suspense then decided to find out my vo 20days after AOR. Emailed Ottawa but got auto response to use web form. Used the form and got no reply, even till now. I then researched here for alternative means and found this post. Called cic and spent 32mins on hold then 2mins to speak with agent who informed me file was at Ottawa, great! 2 days after i order gcms, yet to receive it. Continued my daily check till i saw the ghost update yesterday. Went to bed, woke up midnight to find golden mail

I am expecting my baby in 3 weeks but to submit all pp within 15 days. Do i request for an extension to allow me add my new born or go ahead to send the pp now and raise cse when the baby comes? What is the process for requesting extension? Will have to fast track pp for new born but do i do new born medical upfront?

NO visa denial.

It depends. Some banks like Union Bank send you an auto response with a soft copy of your certificate after the deal is done. Most times, it's not a "certificate" in the way we mean, it's just a letter addressed to the bearer of the funds showing details of the investment and pre-signed by authorized signatories. You can use the soft copy for your application. That's what I did.
