1. Formal Islamic School: is where you paid substantially to learn Islam and not just Quran.

2. The informal one which is "the Almajiri system" where you cram the Quran, but not knowing anything neither the Quran you cram nor simple Islamic practice like performing abulution. These are mostly the follower of what mallam says or sheik.


The north have the highest number of Islamic doctorate degree holders (PhD) than the south.

Many of the southerners don't read and understand the Quran either. Some are Muslims of Friday prayer alone. They consider things like alcoholism and immoral act as normal.
